No, you are Earth or Mars, maybe Venus. As I explained, they are the people who just want normal lives and normal careers and aren't bold or independent enough to be comfortable living an unorthodox lifestyle in poverty ... like the anarchists and hippies who live in communes out in the hills. Or me, who wants to live in a boat on the water and live off food cart and freelance writing earnings.

Sorry, but you're pretty average, like most everyone else. Not that it's a big deal; I mean, so what? Is it so important to try so hard to be different, when you can just be you and do whatever you do and be happy with that?

I don't talk to everyone; I talk to hardly anyone. I don't like people all that much, not in general at least — of course I like certain individuals, like everyone.

I'm a very different person than you're probably used to. I don't like most of mainstream society, just like I don't like most people, so I don't want to be centrally involved in it. Think of the human world as like our solar system: most people are content with being planets like Venus, Earth, and Mars, centrally located ... pretty normal, average; then you have the crazy overachievers and powermad people, like the Olympic athletes and CEOs of multinational company's — Mercury there; your more academic or artistic types would be like Saturn and Jupiter, a bit out there; and then you've got the mavericks and malcontents, the people who would be pioneers or crew members of whaling ships back in the nineteenth century — Uranus and Neptune.

I'm Neptune. I have no problem with being poor and not living in an apartment or a house. If it were 200 years ago I would have probably been on a wagon shooting at Indians on my way to the Oregon Territory. Unfortunately it's a state now, and I already live there.

I commend that you're pursuing a dream and not money. I used to like mathematics until I ran into calculus and realized that the science is a lot of fun but the work is tedious, boring, and frustrating ... like laying the foundation for a house, which is nothing but digging and tying rebar for concrete.

Huh, people speak three languages where? If you thought I said we do that here, we don't: the Russians and Ukrainians tend to only speak to each other, same with the Mexicans and the Vietnamese (and Chinese). It's not like we all walk around arm in arm talking to each other in all these languages like some United Colors of Benetton commercial!

Like when I lived in Switzerland, the Yugoslavs and Bosnians and Tamil kept to themselves and spoke only with each other.

Study? Pfft, I tried school, learning to live a mainstream "normal" life, and I disliked it so much I drank myself out of college. Besides, what do you learn in college? How to be some chump who gets exploited by the power elite to make them rich and destroy the world, and most of the time your job will suck but leave you too tired and dispirited to enjoy any time off. ******** that! I'm going to live on a boat in the water, sell food out of a cart and crafts out of a public market stall and write freelance ... and be myself, live my own life, and be happy. And probably also be a lot wiser than those fools with their degrees.

The problem with languages here is that unless you use them in business regularly the only useful languages are the ones the poor speak, since they tend to not speak English or they speak it very poorly. Here that would be Spanish, Russian, and maybe Vietnamese.

Where are you planning on moving to? I want to live in a boat on the river, a little way out of town so I can enjoy the blue herons and other noisy birds that will no doubt wake me up too damn early.

We don't use "little" in our affectionate speech in English as much as other languages do. I've studied German, French, and Russian, but I can't do much with any of them because I live in a country where you can drive 5500 km and still speak the same language. But, it didn't offend me at all; I thought it was cute and sweet, in fact, so go ahead and keep calling me short. cat_razz

Actually, the United States is pretty close to being a corporatocracy. We made a mistake, our governments, in not foreseeing the dangers of multinational corporations, and it would possibly be a good idea for the governments of the world to convene and work up ideas to curb the power of businesses ... or perhaps governments as we know them now are a passing phase in human history?

I'm sure you'll do fine. I bet you are way better at math than I am. lol. Ironic thing is, math is my worst subject and I got 80% on it. sweatdrop How high do you need to score on the test in order to get into the university?

Yes, an author is someone who writes books. I've already written a short story that I want to turn into a 4 book series. Want to read it?

Math was hard for me to sit down and focus on too. What do you do to help you focus on school? I listen to music and sometimes talk to my friends on msn.

In the Canadian system you have 30 credits to get before you graduate. 18 compulsory and 12 are mandatory. That means that we get to pick 18 of 30 credits.

I'm naturally bubbly. Someone people find it annoying though. sweatdrop Do you ever get hyper?

Students can graduate high school in Canada as young as 17. Most students go back for another year so they can get more courses so they have the confidence and credentials for college and university. There are students like that in Canada too. Sex, drugs, alcohol and rude behavior. That's one that I DON'T miss about being in a normal "class room". I remember in great 8 I was known for telling people to "get a life" and "grow up." My personal view is, "if you aren't here to learn then get out." Harsh I know.

My exam went great! It was easy. Just one part was challenging. I had to take Latin words and English meanings to make English words. I have my psychology exam next week. >.<
