Merlina, the granddaughter of Merlin.
(CONTAINS SPOILERS)Merlina comes from the game, "Sonic and The Black Knight", the second game in the 'storybook' series and is the story of King Arther. The first game is "Sonic and The Secret Rings", a story in the Arabian Nights. Merlina was the one who brought Sonic The Hedgehog to her world, by summons because she was being chased for an unknown reason. Merlina joins Sonic for the adventure for a while, but when Sonic and his talking sword, Caliburn, are going to go into the village, she just simply says, "Forgive me Sonic, but I would be recognized in town. I will remain behind in hiding." She doesn't come back until after Sonic defeated the final knight of the round table. She tells Sonic the location of the king, and goes to the castle in Camelot. After the first set of credits roll, you will see another cutscene where she says it was all fake and King Arther was created by her grandfather, Merlin. She takes the item that Sonic had taken from the king, and decided to use it to make the kingdom eternal. Sonic and the 3 knights run away from the castle, then Nemue, Lady of The Lake, tells them to put the sacred swords around the castle in different locations. The three knights and Sonic do as told. After the barrier was up, he went to go battle Merlina's dark form, the Dark Queen at the Dark Hollow. She was waiting for him. She doesn't want the kingdom end. The dead flower appears she had picked earlier. Sonic tries to attack her, but a invisible force field protects her. A creature appears behind her, and Sonic blocks it's attack with his sword, Caliburn. The sword's blade breaks, which is the end for Caliburn for now. He doesn't go, which hurts him very much with no protection. The others wanted him to leave the castle because he had nothing to battle with and he was badly hurt. But, he just won't back down. They call out his name, and the sacred yellow light appears and The Lady of the Lake tells them to drop the swords into the light. They do as told. A light appears around Sonic and a new transformation begins. This form he is using is only for the game. It is called: Excalibur Sonic. Sonic is covered in a golden armor and his sword transforms into Excalibur, the most sacred sword of them all. Sonic then fights the Dark Queen. After she defeats her, he tells her, "You just have to live life to the fullest in the time we have. Or at least that's what I figure." She says, "Grandfather," holding the dead flower to her face. When everyone else comes, the other knights think it's over. Caliburn picks who gets the crown, though. And he tells them that. Sonic is the one, true king in this story. But, in the end, people say it was a excuse for being late to his and Amy's date. Really, it could be true and they are all just saying that. You never know!
Guess what? Since I have completed the game, I will make another story to continue the legend of Sonic and the Black Knight video game! Just give me time and I will create one, featuring many old and some new characters. I will put it somewhere.
