Yes; war has that effect. See if you can't get some of the boys to put on a show for the others. Might serve to cheer them up. As for the water supply, this worries me. I can't spare many, but I'll send over a small battalion to bring another supply. We have some, but as always during a war, things are getting tight. We're lucky the civilians haven't yet turned against the war efforts. We're rationing supplies, and though their enthusiasm for the war lessens by the day, their patriotism is still carrying them through and they have yet to complain. Let's hope it stays that way, or I fear for the outcome of this war.
Good luck to you and yours. Don't forget about the water supply. It should arrive in a day's time.

The war is as always is. It has its ups and it has its downs, but most of all, it has its casualties. We lost another score of gallant soldiers only yesterday. Alas, their bravery shall be missed, but we must always look forward. We will not allow the enemy to catch us unawares.
And you? Are your charges doing well?
