A Bit About Me

Hi, I'm Divinity-chan, or Divi. I'm in my last year of studying fashion design and I'm an artist in all aspects of life! I live for radical self-expression and creativity.
I've lived in New York all my life, but have been living in Philadelphia for the last 5 years. I'm completely a summer girl, and yearn for the sun and the beach all year round, but I still love to play in the snow in the winter.
Tell me about your travels, and I'll tell you about mine.
I'm a dreamer, adventurous, playful, dynamic individual, and generally optimistic in outlook.
I love doing any sort of crafts I can get my hands on, drawing, creating cosplay costumes, partying at outdoor psytrance festivals, spinning fire, getting lost in my imagination, shopping, and cooking good food.
I can never meet too many people who identify with these passions of mine, so talk to me! <3

My art-bio, since it's a focal point of my happiness!
Well, I've been drawing as long as I could hold a crayon (I never cared for finger painting =P hehe) and I've been sewing and knitting since I was maybe 5 or 6. I got into anime and manga around 5th grade and I've been developing my love for illustration ever since! I made my first full cosplay costume in summer of 2003 of Magical Girl Pretty Samy. When I graduated high school, I fell a little out of the popular animes, even though I'm always still a fan at heart. In the last year, I've rediscovered cosplaying! I've cosplayed Rydia from FFIV, and Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop. I only wish I had more time to devote to this hobby that I love!! Now, I'm working on my ultimate dream cosplay-- Chii from Chobits, in the staple pink dress that the landlady gives her ^_^ I'll debut it at Otakon, so say 'hi' if you see me!! <3 My DeviantArt account is http://shadowhearts.deviantart.com if you are interested in checking out my work!
