For me it's just super overwhelming gold wise, keeping up is such a pain, we get so much new stuff everyday. xD

Here is a somewhat put together list here but I don't believe it has everything on it.
I know for sure one item it's missing is Cheshire Grin (it also has recolors!), the little neck bow it has trims certain things under the neckline, like the blood splatter I mentioned earlier. This dress I'm wearing actually does just that, you see all the gold splatter? The neck bow in Cheshire Grin would get rid of the splatter.

Oh yeah it's definitely worth it in my book haha. We originally got it for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and that game was so amazing in itself. We also got Mario Kart which is always super fun, and now Splatoon has taken over our lives. xD It's got other titles to choose from as well, but we haven't given those a shot yet.

Been a bit lol! Been alright, trying to make more manly avis, since I switched to a male base
Actually like it a lot more than the female base, since there's so many mod items now.

There are so many items released everyday, it's insane. :stunned:

So here's one I used a lot, I'll put the pictures under spoilers so it's not all huge and clunky looking.

It makes the cheeks super defined and I've actually use it a lot.

The face that layers on top is

Since Gaia has such weird layering, it's mostly a game of sitting and trying a million things.
Until you find the few that work.

The nice thing about spending hours in dress up is that I've learned a lot of tricks.

There's a few dolls like Latte that layer both under and over other face items.
I started writing up an entire guide a while back but someone beat me to it, they have all SDPlus dolls organized by the extra pose.

Unfortunately, I would like to link you to a bunch of older guides, but because photobucket basically told everyone to eatshit,
you have to pay for 3rd party hosting. So if you have any images that are from photobucket, they're broken now. :doomed:

Definitely invest in stuff for face definition, since a lot of items don't work well with certain skins, it's gonna be hit or miss.
Few favs are:

Manchop(s)
Mud Destroyer
Wolfman Facial Hair
Lost Boy series

Nose combos are awesome too!! My favorite is Dapper Don+Masquerade+Iron Hans, they all layer together!!
The Oni-ly You items have great colored noses for fantasy skins. Mini Neko, Rose Commander, Pick Your Nose, all great additions.

Lips layer too, those are a bit harder, but I found that the Talker items layer with a lot of stuff.
Trick or Treat Tote for example, that has funny results. Both the Style and Manner face series layer with other items.
Usually for very strange but funny results.

Good blush and face definition items are key for crazy layering. Eleven Eleven, SDPlus Cafe Miam (there are two, one darker, one lighter), Like Rose series
Little Lucie and Lovely Lucie, Shadowplay, Frozen Warlord skins, Celt skins, Wasteland skins, Hop Off My Pink Carrot, Hero's Journey is an EI that has a face trimmer pose
New face items were added, the layering is strange, but they're great. Strong Jaw Scruf is the one I have on right now.

Loel has one of the prettiest skins of the newer items, if you can afford it, it's worth it!

Hopefully this helps you get started. I can always go on, but I figure this would be a good start.

Yes I feel the same way! We can all look so different, even using the same or similar items haha. so many colors and so many different poses our avatars can make now haha. Plus all sorts of ways to change the way certain items look too, like even more options to cutting hair, cutting off accessories, even removing blood splatter on some new items. rofl

Yes we do! We actually bought a second one just so we all three wouldn't have to share just one console LOL.

I'm StrawberryBeetle for good now! But no, it's alright, I changed it so many times, I don't expect people to keep track.

I know the feeling, once came back from hiatus and it was waaay too much!!

Yess! So many different colors and types of items to choose from now. + o + And so many new body mods as well!!

I've been doing well! Currently playing a lot of Splatoon 2 with my husband and son. rofl We all like the game very much.
