About
Dean was born on January 24, 1979 to John and Mary Winchester in Lawrence, Kansas. He is the couple's first child, four years older than his younger brother Sam. He is named after his maternal grandmother, Deanna Campbell. When he was only four years old on November 2, 1983, his mother Mary was killed in Sam's nursery by the demon Azazel. Infant Sam is saved by the ensuing fire when his father takes him out of his crib and gives him to four-year-old Dean, who then carries him outside while their father unsuccessfully tries to rescue their mother. After that night Dean felt responsible for Sam, and was always given the job to take care of him while they were growing up. Dean's father John raised him and Sam as hunters of the supernatural. During Dean's childhood John would be away "hunting" a week or two at a time, so Dean had to partly raise Sam.

Castiel looks down at the hunter's hand laid on his shoulder then meets his eyes in uncertainty. He wouldn't even know where to begin with that comment, how could an angel find any kind of happiness that is not that of heaven? Heaven had been his home, a place to rest, to find comfort in his brethren's songs but all that changed. He no longer finds comfort there. Only corruption and guilt from his own misdeeds. He knows he was doing the right thing but another part of him couldn't help but feel guilty as well. After all they were still his family and he had betrayed them. But, then he has Dean, who somehow seems to make all of that worth it. Castiel would be lying if he said Dean didn't make him happy. "Yes. I know that. I just do not think I can find my happiness with being intimate with someone. I don't know if I will be able to put in any time to build a relationship with anyone else. I don't even see how I can have a relationship that would mean anything more then what I have with you." He says honestly. "We share a profound bond and even though it is not that of an intimate relationship that lovers have, it's strong and it's real and I find my happiness in that. That is all I need Dean."
"When I lost my powers we were in the middle of a war Dean, I was rather depressed and had far to much on my mind to think about sex. All I wanted to do was drink myself into oblivion." He replies gravely and eye'd Dean carefully when he makes his way about the room. "I suppose if it were to happen again and things were not so chaotic, perhaps I would be inclined to broaden my horizons. However, I'm uncertain I will ever find anyone that I would take any interest in." Which is half true he suppose, there's only one person he can think of and that is highly unlikely to happen. Cas tilts his head going over the words. " 'Awesome'? If you say so, Dean. What more is there to it? You find a mate, have sex, create offspring. That is what humans do."
The angel scrunches up his nose seemingly annoyed but as Dean continues to pursue the subject his expression is back to embarrassment. "I am unsure what I'm exactly 'into'. It's not as if I had time to think it over." He lets out a long sigh and shakes his head knowing Dean won't let this go so he rolls his eyes tilting his head up to the ceiling in thought. "I suppose, If I were to choose someone that is appealing to me, it would have to be someone who is strong willed and determined, selfless and kind, who fights for what's right. Someone who would accept me for what I am and is willing to have patience for me because I know that I can be rather difficult seeing as I do not understand a lot of things of this world."
“Yes. I know how the mechanics work to an extent. I’ve seen many acts of intimacy, however it’s not as if I take a day off to go and watch such activities too closely. Angels, besides Cupids, do not see it the way humans do. We see the act as for procreation purposes.” That may sound a bit cold to a human but it’s a simply fact. Castiel knows there’s more to it than that; there is love after all, a union, soul mates but higher ranking angels don’t exactly care much about such matters, besides the union of John and Mary Winchester of course.
Cas makes a face in memory like he has a bad taste in his mouth. “The thought of fornicating with someone like Chastity is very unnerving yes, however that does not mean I will instantly run in the opposite direction the moment I come across pornography. They are only images Dean. I do find it intriguing at times. The human body is a very beautiful thing and it’s fascinating all the things it can do.” As he says this his eyes drag from Dean's boots all the way up his body then rest on his green hues.
“I…” He’s afraid where Dean might be going with this so he says, “I’m into cheeseburgers.”
