I graduated magna c** laude from Southern Methodist University in 2012 with a B.A. in English specializing in Creative Writing. During my time at SMU, I won second place in the school’s annual fiction contest, as well as the Margaret Terry Crooks Award for Most Outstanding Creative Writing Student. I earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, specializing in popular fiction, from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast program in January 2015. I'm currently focused on my novel-in-progress, Garnets and Guardians. Though I dabbles in all genres, my true love is horror. Whether dealing with your average socially awkward serial killer or an angel/demon/mortal hybrid entering the terrible teens, I'm most at ease visiting with the voices in my head. Well, I'm trying..
Hopefully, I can at least get one sentence on the page.
Honestly, I'm not sure what happened.
I just...stopped writing and i haven't the slightest about the reasons.
He does. I just wanted to write him a poem because he's been kind
to me lately.

Hm, interesting thing you do.
I wish to write so badly.
The bad thing I did was tell a friend that I would write a poem for him.
I have yet to even begin it.
I just can't seem to get anywhere in my writing.
It's like I am at a standstill.
I used to be able to write all the time, anywhere.
Now, I have emptiness and empty notebooks sitting around my bedroom.
It just isn't working out and I feel kind of sad.

I actually attempted to do that many times over, and then unfinished work adds up.
I'm supposed to be creating a story for my younger brother, but I haven't even really
gotten into it.
