Well I love Deidara as big as the universe. >:[ And I loath Saucegay to the max. Lol So that picture up there is what I think should have happened in the manga. And Sasuke survived only because Kishimoto didn't want to kill him yet. See, what Sasuke did to escape Deidara's explosion was IMPOSSIBLE to do, even in Naruto's world! Poor Deidara died in vain...
