They had some talented people but I think they laid most of them off.. =_='' I don't know why.
Guess they were more expensive than the ones they kept.

Yeah, that might be true.. It's not that it's not good for casual players, it's that they assumed that people who talked all the time in the community might get along in games, and that zOMG was a good way to get more people to interact.
That's a flawed assumption and although it got more people to interact they didn't profit from it.
If they made it so people could play alone it would have been good though, so people who might be embarrassed about not knowing how to play etc could do it alone and wouldn't have to worry about being called a noob, etc. Personally I don't care, but a lot of people do.
Another thing is that people tend to like sticking to what they're used to and their social groups so they only want to play with their friends.
Since zOMG is so focused on playing together if their friends stop playing it's likely it was discourage others in the group from playing.
Also Gaia isn't set up so all your friends on here would be online at the same time necessarily which makes it difficult also.

Hm... I'm not sure. When I first played there were enough people that forming a crew wasn't too hard, and there wasn't difficulty levels for the bosses so they were mostly not too bad.
It was only the actual bosses where I couldn't solo though.. xD I did everything else alone.

Maybe.. I'm not sure.. I also don't pay attention to those things so I had no idea. Dx
I think it was taken off because it wasn't as popular as they hoped and was contributing a bit to the inflation and devaluing of gold.
It's still a game on Facebook so they may still profit from it, but it's not really a Gaia thing anymore. u.u''

I'd have to agree. A lot of their games had a good following but hey stopped support, like that Heralds of Chaos too..

Yeah, I knew a few people in closed beta, but only one or two. Most of my friends on here didn't play MMOs, and then all my friends I made from zOMG disappeared.. T^T So I don't keep in touch with them anymore.. u.u''

Oh yeah.. DMS is difficult and requires a crew so I haven't done that. )=
And they dropped it because it required more development and staff and up keep over other things which were more profitable.. u.u''

Haha.. Aww.. *Hugs* I was in the open beta I think, didn't get invited to the closed one unforunately. )=

But yeah, I also restarted on my mules a few times (and this is my second main since zOMG) so I wondered but since it's still in beta now I figured they jsut took it out (idk why).
I really liked the sewers a bit though, since I could run around farming right when I started. xD At least they brought the trash cans back in Bass'ken Lake now. (:

But yeah, I'm just 10.0 on here. My other one is banned. I might restart on a mule again and just try to go solo through the whole game. XD

I know.. )= I miss those days.. Although I also rather enjoyed zOMG when it first came out.. Back when you started on a train.. Or when they updated it to sewers. XD
Train was still the best though.. )= When more people actually played.. Dx

I've been on since.. Er.. I'm not sure. I think on and off since '06 or so? Maybe 05, but I'm pretty sure 06. >.<;

Well, it's not a bad thing to work for them. And you should tell your friends you are evil. :3
And if they don't want to suffer to.. Er.......... Um.... I'm not sure. I don't know your friends so I can't say what kind of humor would be understood. o.o;

Oh, honestly that's really hard to say.. ._.'' Large portions of '08 and '09.. Also a bit in '07.. Hm... I think some times earlier and I missed almost the entire year for either '10 or '11 but I'm not sure which year. o.o;

Ah.. I was mostly away during that time. xD I saw it was getting bad and I just felt like.. "Screw this, I'm not going to bother" and came back about a year later. >.<;

o.o; Good luck with that.. Sounds difficult. ._.' Way above my patience and understanding any how. :3
