Sparkling Hot Ice

Emma's gaze went down to the ground once again, as if there was something of interest there. When there was not. Holding her head back up, she swallowed the past back behind her, forcing a smile back upon her face, speaking back in a normal tone. Talking about the past, always seemed to be a down point in Emma's life. "Well now... it is good seeing you, darling."

The awkwardness hanging in the air was so thick you could slice it with a knife. "Hopefully we can catch up on what you've been doing with your life, in recent times. Whenever you get a chance, Clarice."

"I'm around... just depends on where it is exactly that I'm at." Her lips seemed to redden with more life as the divine smile returned. Her cool blue eyes lifted back towards Clarice's green eyes. Emma was sincere in what she meant, about how life was treating Clarice and hoping she was well. If she did not have the time to talk, Emma understood there was always the 'rain check' initiative card that could always be played.
