This is the philosophy of Tarn Ivanov. And while he may be Kristov Kruger's secret Second in command, Logic is Tarn's only true master.
Tarn Ivanov may not be the oldest living Templar, but he is one of the Dark Templar's earliest members and founders. The Organization that Kristov Kruger controlled for centuries went through many changes and many names but it was during the mid 20th Century when Kruger came across Tarn and the Organization became The Dark Templars, making Tarn one of its founders. Tarn was originally one of the greatest minds in the scientific field of biology in the Soviet Union, but he fell from grace when he was found bioengineering bizarre hybrid creatures (Lions crossed with rhinos, anacondas crossed with eagles), attempting to make the ultimate killing machines. After being shamed and disgraced, the Mad Scientist changed him Name to Tarn, shortened from the word Tarnish. It was during this time that he was discovered by Kristov Kruger and helped him in turning the Dark Templars into the organization it is today. While tarn is fiercely loyal to the templar cause, he is a loner and spends most of his time in his lab. Seeing Tarn has become so rare that many templars don't even think he exists. Tarn does this simply because he believes socializing is illogical and a waste of his time.
Over the years Tarn has gone from focusing on strictly biology to bio mechanics, trying to create the perfect fusion of organic life and machine. After a freak accident in his lab, Tarn became that. 2/3's of his body are now machine, the most notable being his left arm, which has been replaced with a mechanical arm connected to a Hyperflux cannon, a weapon he designed. Half of his brain is now CPU and the accident has left him with one eye and greatly scared. This may seem like a crutch but the biotech has allowed Tarn to live longer than the average human and has made him stronger.
Tarn is responsible for many pieces of the Dark Templars arsenal. He created and designed the weapons and armor of the Dark Templar knights, he is the creator of the Meta Human hunting Technoorganic Dragon Knights, and most notably, is the one who designed Kruger's battle suits.
Tarn's loyalty to the Templars since his arrival has always been strong and true, however his true devotion will never be to Kruger or the Templars. His loyalty will always be to logic, and if logic dictates it is time to leave the templars, he will leave. Everything he does is calculated and executed in the most logical way. Tarn will not accept failure, from the templars or from himself, for failure is illogical.

Enhanced strength: Tarn's technoorganic half has given him meta-human strength, allowing him to take on the likes of mid level meta-humans.
Super Durability: Tarns Armor plating protects him greatly from energy attacks and weapons.
Hyperflux Cannon: The Hyperfulx cannon harnesses the same energy the Mother Boxxes use to generate Boom Tubes, only instead it uses that energy to fire powerful blasts at its targets that rip the apart molecule by molecule. Tarn actually has installed these cannons on all Dragon Knights.
Super Intelligent: Tarn is one of the smartest people on the planet, even before replacing half of his brain with a computer he was as smart as batman. The computer has tripled that. Tarn is able to make calculations so fast in the time it takes to blink he has come up with 50 different outcomes of a situation.
Weaknesses:
Slow: Unlike Kruger, whose armor is far lighter to allow him quick movement in battle, Tarn's is much heaver, making his speed (to meta-human standards) about the same as a regular human who runs and works out moderately. This is the cost for its durability.
Half Blind: Tarn cannot see with his right eye, making his right side his blind side.
cannot comprehend the illogical: Tarn's quest to make all things logical and balanced makes him baffled and confused by anything that does not make sense.
