bummer, i guess i'll continue to stick to pokemon showdown for my new gen pokemon battle cravings then. no need to pay $30 on top of the base game to get access to a few more pokemon and that site punishes people who pull stunts like that by recording it as a loss if they don't come back within a minute of disconnecting. plus, the random battle feature is really convenient and fun now that i don't have the time or energy to devote to breeding perfect pokemon with egg moves and stuff like that
same here regarding gen 4 remake, both for cynthia and for the chance that they may introduce some more lore like they did in the gen 3 remakes considering that gen 4 gave us a pokemon pantheon and a creator god. as for gen 1 though, as somebody who played them, i gotta say that without nostalgia goggles on it's more fun to watch other people break those games on youtube than it is to actually play them haha
man what a bunch of dweebs. apparently from my understanding it's because it won't count as a loss for them if they do that, at least in sword/shield? gen 8 just keeps putting out disappointments lol
aww that's really cute! it's wonderful when parents get engaged in what their kids love beyond the "are ya winning son" level
ohh THAT one, yeah it was adorable and made me feel really nostalgic. it's nice to show people bonding over pokemon instead of, for example, sending people threats and insults when they lose a match after talking big at the beginning. imagine trying to look tough over pokemon of all things lol
ohh i forgot about that little feature! yeah that was neat
man I agree, Lusamine's schtick as a god awful parent really hits a nerve that the other Pokemon villains don't. I mean, Ghetsis has this going on too but he's this evil overlord with cultist knights, ninjas, and wanna-be wizards which softens the impact in comparison to Lusamine the president with scientists and nurses (aether employees basically dress like modern nurses vs. retro pokemon center nurses). Lusamine unlike previous villains radiates pure irl abuser energy with her verbal abuse, gaslighting, controlling behavior, and neglect of her kids in private in contrast with her carefully cultivated saintly public persona.
oh man, i'm gonna look for the commercials. i don't recall seeing those before
