I can definitely see how you might feel in situations like that especially meeting strangers for the first, second, or third time. lol Even in a game like setting. What I normally do for meeting new players is to get a feel of who they are and see their gaming style. I can relate to those who have an open mind versus no imagination at all. 3nodding

There is another idea in story writing: bullets with snippets of ideas. Just having a snippet of a memory will trigger your next story line. Compartment your ideas into small notes. Our minds are very special hard drives that have an infinite amount of space. Sorry I went geek on you. rofl I hope this makes to you. Also you can use/see it as cliff notes. 3nodding

I'm glad you were able to write some more in your book. Also I am also glad you got some relaxation. I hope that brought plenty of sleep. whee

My weekend was a mix of relaxation and hanging out with friends. I saw Shang-Chi and if you like the Marvel series, I recommend it. I can't say the same thing with Eternals. The movie was just so boring and long.

Yeah, I don't really see why they took it down. It was really planned out and it reminded me of another rpg system called BESM (Big Eyes, Small Mouth). That system allowed you to create a pokemon trainer if you wanted. Were you playing with a group of people in person or online?

Good advice is always accepted in my book. lol 3nodding When I used to write stories back in school; I would on a sheet of paper write down an idea of plot then circle it. From the circle, I'd draw lines off of the beginning. Each new bubble would be a new idea that would include characters, story backgrounds, side stories, descriptions of people and areas, etc... Of course I knew each chapter would an idea pulled from the bubbles but as I grew my book; I didn't put more than one idea in each chapter. This way I'd have more chapters to fill the pages of my book and then purposely leave out character background info because that would be side story info that I could use in other books later on.
With a similar train of thought, I would create campaigns for my players as they progressed in my rpg games. I play Pathfinder D&D. I have probably said this before but I have played in other editions as well. Like for instance, I've played in 1st & 2nd edition. Advanced D&D, 3rd, 3.5, 4th, and 5th edition. I love a good rpg and I like running them too. whee
Though where I lack is in an online setting versus in person. I prefer in person over online because then I can keep an eye on what my players are doing, rolling dice, etc...

Oh very nice! I like reading stories like that. You can write several books by your character's adventures and how he perceives the world through his notes. It's pretty cool at how an author can focus on one or more characters and create side stories around them while entertaining the reader with the whole story. 3nodding

Do you have someone there to help support your ideas and help with any loose ends?

D&D isn't for everyone. I know from experience that depending on who runs a game can either be helpful throughout the creation of characters or can be a real jerk in how they want you to play your character. Lol I personally think it depends on the interaction of players within the group and how the game master runs their game. I like to teach as I run a game. It's both a refresher to experienced and to grab the attention of someone learning for the first time. biggrin

Oh cool! I like stories like that. It has a coming of age type of theme but instead of age it's life. Is your character going to be traveling around the world to learn about other cultures and gain another perspective 9n life?
Do you have any novels published?

I played Pathfinder D&D yesterday and it was character creation session. Lol
