About Me, Myself, and I.
OH NO, THEY FOUND ME!
Oh, its just you, insignificant person. Welcome to my profile. If you know me you know that I love to read. If you don't know me you do now! I also love to remeber so called "useless information" and "irrelevent facts". There is no such thing as useless info and ALL facts are relevent I also love to play video games. NINTENDO RULES! Kingdom Hearts is awesome too! I also love to be outside, which which everyone says clashes with video games and that I go against the stereotype...
TAKE THAT, STEREOTYPING PEOPLE! Go find something else to type!
I'm sort of a video game designer in training. I'm trying to make my first full length platformer. It's The Adventures of Merv the Magical Monocle Man. If anyone has any ideas for enemies and such, feel free to comment. All I have for bad guys are a few of my brothers Microsoft Paint doodles. *shudder*
Some of my favorite stuff:
Sci-fi/Fantasy novels
Kingdom Hearts
Cave Story
My NES and vintage games
Waving at security cameras
Reading in general
Thinking
Playi'in the Piano
The stuff that I most loatheth:
People who stereotype teenagers
Teenagers who enforce said stereotypes
Youtube Poops
Bad film adaptations of great novels
The idea that graphics are the most important factor in a video game.

Yes, We is my favorite dystopia, too. It was really the unknown pioneer of the dystopia movement... the one that started it all, really. You can't call yourself a Dystopia lover without reading We. And the main character is probably the deepest dystopian character I've seen. Winston Smith is just a man who sees something wrong and tries to stop it. D-503 sees only perfection, but then when he does see the problem, he begins to slowly lose his "sanity" as he desperately tries to seek the beauty of Onestate again, throwing him into more and more internal turmoil.
Yeah, I like We. It was a rare and lucky find about five years ago for me, and after seeing that new translation pop up in many a bookstore, I'm hoping We will slowly get the recognition it deserves.
Hey, I know that Cave Story guild never seemed to work out, but I'm thinking of making one solely for talking about Dystopias...
One more thing. We translations I've heard of so far:
Natasha Randall
Clarence Brown
Glad you liked Call of Cthulhu, though! It was always one of my favorites. One of the more adventure-y ones, with the ocean chase scene and the swamp cultists. If you liked it for the adventure, I'd suggest moving on to The Mountains of Madness. If you liked it for the eerie sense of the unknown, for the thrills, I'd suggest The Whisperer in the Darkness.
Most importantly, if you REALLY liked it, take a look at:

You might recall that I wear this shirt a ton. It's a very good, hour or so long movie that tells the famous tale. I've got the DVD, maybe next time I'm up in PA we can all watch it.
Seriously, try The Whisperer in the Darkness now, because that's going to be their next movie, in the style of a 40s/50s "talkie"!
Also, I'm going to be skiing here a lot... I'm thinking of maybe buying this. http://www.cthulhulives.org/store/store.lasso?1=product&2=33196 Pretty niiiiice, huh?
