Dread Dionaea Report | 12/21/2007 5:51 pm: I'm not at all a fan of Christmas shows and music, so my favorite part of the holiday season is when they're no longer around. As for me, I'm doing very well and am trying really, really hard not to get into Christmas.

Most of them anyway (I could name some from my school that aren't - this one guy thinks the world revolves around him). Living in a theatre is definitely cool as well! I have great respect for technitians as well. I'm not very good with technical stuff at all, I think I may be able to do it if someone showed me how, but I really don't have a knack for it. I actually started acting because I used to be really shy and I wanted to be more charasmatic. I really love it because it lets me be someone else for a while and has given me a lot of confidence I didn't have before. I also do color guard, which is another kind of performence that helps me become more comforatable in front of people. I like interacting with people (I just had trouble sometimes at first) and want to be a diplomat of some sort when I'm older.

I have a friend who wants to work in theatre as a tech person, she really loves it. I prefer acting, but I'm not very good at all. Haha... I know someone who lives in Moscow.

I'm your average 20-year-old Muscovite (Moscow native) turned 'Merican. I live and work in a theater-for-hire as the house stage manager/technical consultant.

When work is slow, I like to spend time on various online forums, where I may practice my English. Gaia is particularly good for this, because people are mostly quite patient here. It is strange, because I sometimes feel old when I am here. And at only twenty, I am a long way from being old in truth! Ah, the lengths I will go to for practice!

My English suffers when I am tired, feel free to point and laugh.

Former Avatars of Note

When it comes to the making of avatars, I have no gift. I enjoy toying with the options that Gaia gives, but I have the stereotypical male inability to dress myself in any reasonable fashion. (I am lucky IRL that all of my work clothing must be black. This much even I may handle.) I would leave my avatar unchanging, but those Gaians with which I work mocked me when I put forth this notion.

So, when I do manage to compile an avatar from bits and pieces, I am inclined to save it, just in case I might wish its use again. This way I need not remember how such was accomplished. In an attempt to add some actual content to my profile, I have decided to upload some of these that I have saved.

Yes, I know that this is sad. What may I say? Work is boring today.

And this is even sadder than the rest, as it is the final result of an in-house contest where I am working, to produce ourselves in RL as best we might. (I won, even sadder, yes?) Give it curly hair and a narrower face and it bears a disturbing resemblance to the way I appear at work. Only the glasses are lensed in blue (It has to do with the blue work lights. Many of the techs wear them.), the headphones are for the communication radios, and the sketchbook is a prompt book instead.
