My roots are what I use to pull the nutrients from the soil. Along with the water.

hmm... I don't know. Maybe I'd wither and die, or maybe I'd have the strength to stand and defend myself so I could get back to my spot in the ground. IT's not really the dirt I need. It' the nutrients and the water. Also the sun.
