{get to know me}

June 11 to July 13:
I'll be out of the country during this time. I'll still have wifi and will be posting, but it will most likely be at strange hours and at a much slower pace that I usually post. My apologies to my current/potential roleplay partners.


My name is Darren. I'm a big fan of writing and reading, though I've just gotten really into Netflix. College will do that to you. On my Netflix list: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, TED Talks, every superhero movie available, How I Met Your Mother, and quite a few old comedies. I'm currently majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communications. I play on eight intramural sports teams, including quidditch. I also tried (and failed) at playing guitar, piano, and bongos. I can, however, play the triangle.

I'm really only here on Gaia for the roleplaying. I absolutely love writing, and roleplaying means two brains instead of one. It's much harder to get writers' block that way. You can find my little search thread here.

I went on an accidental hiatus for like... six months. Rough times with academics and whatnot. s**t happens. Either way, I'm back at least for the summer. To my previous roleplaying partners: I'm really sorry. I suck, I know.

✓ I was born midday on October 6th, just in time for lunch.
✓ I'm fluent in English, almost Spanish, and I attempted learning Latin and frequently pretend I actually know it.
✓ I am a travel addict and have been to eleven countries (other than the US).
✓ I'm so caffeine-dependent it's frightening.
✓ I once stayed up almost twenty-one hours watching all eight Harry Potter movies.
✓ If I were given three wishes, my first would be to have a cool accent.
✓ My guilty pleasure is Karaoke, and I will deny it if anyone asks.
✓ When I was little, I was dead set on being a Pirate, professionally.
✓ I have started writing sixteen novels and finished none of them.
✓ I really like office supplies.
