Oi, forgot to ad:
Sometimes in song fics it hard to not run into the lines of the song because of the sheer fact that they are simple sentences or theres no other way to word the theme of the story+song, so I can understand you running into those two lines from "Like Eating Glass".

I'd love to read it sometime if you have it up somewhere.

I'm acutally working on a mini-series inspired by the Halo 1 and 2 soundtrack. Great stuff, lyricless and just.. intense sound. It's a Sci-Fi story, so I'm getting stuck here and there explaining alien races. But it's your tipical shadow-government story with a twist of bloodline roalty (just because I played to much Fable, I think...)

But yeah, I've never ever done a Sci-Fi story, so this is my frist brain child as far as that goes.

The lyrics just... gaahh~ Make me feel so much of the song. Espicaly with a broken relationship, I attach everything to myself- very ego human of me. But it helps me understand.


Their is another song of Gnarl's on his website called "Smile Faces", it's ok, more upbeat, but I'm not really impressed with it. I'm hoping a store will have the CD and an option to hear more of the songs on before I acutally blow 12-15 dollars on it (damn, I remeber the most a CD was 12...).

Ooo~ Song-fics can be terribly intresting or total drool, depending on how they are written.

Personally, I hate putting the lyrics throughout the story, or even have the lyrics hinted or mentioned- taking them as a metaphoric idea into the story. I might state the lyrics before-hand, espcially if the song is obscure. But generaly I pick songs based on sound, no lyrics, because the sound gives me the feeling more.

Currently my flavor of the day is "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. I saw the video on the tv today, and I was like - most amazing song ever. Not only do the words fit perfectly with the emotion, but the video as well. Ink bolt testing, 1-2-3.

Their vocals really intrege me- totaly diffrent compaired to most of the clone bands of the day. Plus I love the depth you can get out of their lyrics.
