Return of Ettlesby

Yeah, that's the worst part of the main game.
If you're following guides and it's still not working, I don't know what to say. Even on successive playthroughs it takes a while for me.
What's your main problem? Have you tried looking up videos on it?

Eesh.
Yeah, the smaller ones sometimes have trouble playing discs.
Which is weird, because they're the newer ones.

Both excellent games.
Phantom Brave is amazing because of the ability to fuse attacks to people so they can use them in new, hilarious ways.
Like all of NIS's stuff, it has ways to make leveling easy. Don't worry too much about it until you clear the main story.

Me too, which is why I'd rather not spam voomerangs until I win.

Eesh. That's unfortunate.

I have it, but unfortunately I was unable to get that far before my DS's bottom screen became unusable.
It was the first game I got for it, actually, though I put it off far too long.

Yeah, I imagine.

Probably a good idea.

It is awesome, yes. Unfortunately, I lent my copy to a friend and since I don't have any way to contact him anymore I won't be getting it back.

Yeah. It's not a perfect game by any means, but it's fun.
Ah, so you never reached the divisive point of the game.
I could probably help you, but if you're not interested in the game anymore then there's no point.
Unless it's the mine I'm thinking of, in which case it'd be difficult since it's not very good.

Both PS2, actually, though Baroque has been on many consoles.

It's fun. I think I could probably cheat a victory out since Voomerangs are still overpowered, but it wouldn't feel right.

Maybe. I don't know. Playing it frustrates me because I feel it would be a good game if the game part wasn't so bad.
And the final boss of the story I'm on, which I think is the same for each story, is unfairly difficult and there's little I can do to improve.

Oh man, that's rough. I've never had that problem, so I'm afraid I can't help you.
I think I only have two Pokémon over 70, so I can't imagine raising an entire box.

Losing memory cards is the worst.
Built-in memory has its problems, but it's not as bad.

That's a Tales game for you. At least you get to carry stuff to other playthroughs.

Doesn't sound too weird to me, but then again, I've never played it.

Lately I've been playing Star Ocean 3, trying to get all the battle trophies, which are basically just achievements that unlock stuff. You only need 95% to unlock everything, but some of them are kind of complicated.

And on the incomplete pile...

There's Nightmare of Druaga, which is basically all dungeon crawling.

There's Baroque, which is also mostly dungeon crawling but harder and not turn-based.

There's Viewtiful Joe 2, which I almost beat but I'm at a boss rush and I've lost all my reflexes for it.

And last and least is Unlimited SaGa, a game filled with disappointment, regrets, horrible gameplay design choices, wasted potential, and art and music that is surprisingly not bad.

What haven't you finished?

As for me, basically my only choice is between 110 floors of monotonous tedium and I think probably about the same in a game I've been putting off.

Unless I decide to play a different one altogether.

Return of Ettlesby

Yeah, in that case it probably won't.

I see.
I guess the only thing to do is see how things unfold.

Return of Ettlesby

Yeah, that's true.

She'd probably do that, yeah.

Should be fun.

It would help a little, yeah.

Seireane's inability to use magic isn't 'hardcoded', so to speak, but I imagine learning wouldn't be easy for her. She doesn't really possess any skill for it.

Man, Veleria has it rough.

I imagine by that time Beatrice will already be used to things and/or have access to stronger stuff, so she'll at least be able to fight back.

Yeah, two right after the other.
It also helps that those two aren't inhuman abominations that can shift their form at will.

I bet. I don't know too much about her, but I imagine she won't take too well to Seireane's present strategy of freaking out whenever something happens...which is what she needs, honestly.

It was fine.

That could be a problem. At least it happened afterward this time, though.
Hopefully Seireane doesn't get into a habit of being unable to do anything.
...Though, I suppose there's been nothing she COULD do in any of the confrontations she's been in.

Nothing anyone can do about that, really. People will do that sometime.

At least you've got us, right?

A little bit, yeah.

Oh, they are. It's great.

So in others words, that sort of thing would already be familiar to them.

I can understand the feeling. Quests are important.

Were there not as many people around then?

All technology bows before my might. There is nothing I cannot master if I put my mind to it.
In other words, this phone is actually surprisingly easy to use once you get the hang of it.

That would be a pretty amusing experiment. I imagine everyone else would frown on it, though.
And then you'd be out an iPod.

Who needs stairs, anyway?

Oh wow. All the way in November.

Yeah, looks pretty bad here too.

It might be fine on the Kindle, I guess, but I've found my phone to be far more convenient lately.

Oh well. I know how to handle it, at least.

Return of Ettlesby

That's good to hear.

Everything has been fine so far. Don't worry too much about it.

You know, it's the strangest thing.
It's not a problem on the board, but somehow the emoticons always get squished right into the text box and make me move around them.
I wonder why that happens.

I imagine.

Beatrice does tend to do better when she knows what's actually going on, whether she already knows or someone tells her. Not knowing how to handle things is a new experience for her.

It's entirely within the realm of possibility.

Yeah. Beatrice tries to restrain it, but if she isn't expecting something it tends to come out.

I do try to write them as realistically as I can. It'd be weird if they were somehow totally okay with unfamiliar situations like this.

So, don't feel the need to go TOO easy on them.

Makes sense. Might be more the principle of the thing to them, really.

Just have to put up with it, I guess.

Yeah, doesn't really make much sense to me either.

Doesn't sound like anything can be done about it, though.
