Story

Rika Tachibana is a normal high school girl living in Japan with quite a few problems at home and in life. Her father a drunken floozy always going out after work to the nearest love hotel with co-workers. Her mother, the typical housewife, almost completely oblivious to almost everything going on. Rika's 2 previous boyfriends had a male superiority complex about them that was so bad they started to ignore her and eventually dump her for another one. She eventually decided to give up on guys for a while thinking there wouldn't be anyone normal for her.

- Friday -
One night after class she had just finished doing some work at the local cafe and was walking home just like any other night. As Rika passes by the large park she notices a red glowing object whiz by her face dropping from the sky above heading into the park. Quite curious as to what it is she goes inside and walks along the path following the red dust cloud along the way into an area between two trees. There it was on the ground in a small fist sized crater made by the impact. A glowing red rock. Rika thought about it for a while but decided maybe it was best to take it home and look into it more.

She arrives home and after changing into her night clothes, she fiddles around with the stone and decides to make it into a pendant as the red stone is glowing in such a beautiful shade of red. After making the needed modifications and putting the necklace through it, she puts it on and likes how it looks on her. Right after that she falls into bed as she's very exhausted for the night after the long day at work.

- Saturday -
In the morning Rika wakes up and instantly jumps out of bed after seeing the alarm clock reading 9:40am. She starts to wonder why no one woke her up as she quickly changes into the top half of her school clothes. Just as she's about to throw on her socks and shoes and run out the bedroom door, she notices the calender on the wall and sees it read Saturday. She then let's out a huge sigh of relief.

Half dressed, she remembers that her dad is spending the weekend out with co-workers at a business retreat and mom is out visiting grandma at the other side of town this same week so she doesn't get bored. Rika then casually goes to the fridge which is filled with enough food to last a week and a half. She eats some sandwich prepared by mom last night and heads back to her room to relax a bit. As she enters her room and lays down on the bed a bit, she looks at the time. 9:50am. *sigh* "Another boring day." Suddenly the pendant around her neck begins to glow intensely and the light totally envelops her. She quickly stands up and looks around her body with the light all around. She then hears a voice...

"You shall now enter another dimension different from your own. The world you are about to visit needs your help. It is a world like your own but with some slight differences. You may do anything you wish to the world and it's people as you see fit. Do not worry about them as they will follow you even through your darkest hours... but you must not let the unwelcome visitors win.... Stop them whenever they come.... Stop them at all costs..... You are our only hope...."

Rika then sees the light that surrounds her whittle back and become a single glowing point eminating from her pendant and then travel across the room hitting the wall. The light opens up into the form of a waving swirl and hovers there inviting her to enter. Still thinking of the words she just heard earlier, she slowly she moves closer and after breathing in a big breath of air with a determined look on her face, Rika enters the portal with her eyes closed.

- The first encounter in the alternate dimension -

Rika stops after she feels that she passed the portal entirely. Still with her eyes closed, she begins to hear the wind and some odd squeaking honk-like sounds. The ground beneath her feet feels soft, yet slight hard and flattened almost like stepping on crumbled rocks. She takes another step forward hearing first a crunching/crashing sound and then hears faintly distant or weak screams and decides that someone must be in danger and slowly opens her eyes.

Rika is completely amazed at what she sees; A horizon of a huge city laid out before her. She again hears faint screams and very light car honks and looks down at her feet and gasps a little at what she sees next to her. A massive crowd of people running from the place she now stands. She is standing in a busy area in the heart of the city. People and cars are so small to her they are barely visable, and the tallest buildings around only reach her ankles.

Rika lifts her foot and looks at what she stepped on and sees the entire city block completely flattened. The ground instead of a street pattern and surrounding buildings, now looks like her foot print with dirt where a few buildings were before and the road has lots of cracked pieces like a glass pattern. Tiny orange and red stains and flattened colored metal spots that were once large cars and trucks litter the ground she once stood on. The buildings on the outer edges of her foot are now crumbled pieces of rubble surrounding the side of it. She starts apologizing constantly as she puts her foot down behind her and hears another crashing/crunching like sound. She instantly knows without looking behind her that she did it again and has a worried face. "Sorry.... again..." gonk

As Rika takes time to grasp what is happening below and around her, it begins. A large green figure rises from the depths of the sea. She takes a closer look and realizes who it is. "It's Godzilla!" she screams. It's much bigger and more massive than the movies made it look, she thinks to herself. The movies only made it as tall as buildings but this one is way taller. Godzilla slowly moves towards the city and starts rampaging crushing buildings and obstacles around as it enters the edge of the city. Then the big lizard looks ahead and sees Rika standing alone above the center of the city and moves in to confront it's challenger.

When it reaches the center of town, even Godzilla becomes astonished as it looks up and sees that it only comes up to her chest. Undaunted it starts attacking with claws, nearly scratching Rika's arm. She instantly remembers the words she heard before entering the portal. "Stop them at all costs..." So she goes into action and takes a swing at it hoping to hurt it. Before the punch lands the pendant glows bright and as it connects the lizard is sent flying across the city and lands in a forest area. Rika is stunned and looks at her hands thinking she had this power all along. "Hey... I never knew I had such strength. Maybe gym class is paying off after all! Hehe!" Forgetting her size, she chases after the injured beast while running through the city causing tons of damage with each step she takes.

As Rika enters the forest she smells smoke. She stops in her tracks and looks behind her and sees all the smoke rising from the city with many destroyed buildings and the trail of footsteps along the way coming up to where she stands now. A sweat drop comes down her head knowing she must've done a ton of damage. She looks down and notices the trees within the forest. Large, majestic and tall to any of the residents of this world, they only come up to her ankles and feels like a grassy field with pointy tops. Before she could think about it more though, Godzilla lunges at her. She turns around to face the monster and before she could even react.... Rika's momentum is stopped when it's face collides with her boobs.....

A loud "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek" is heard all around. The trees rustle and shake as birds fly away en masse to run from the loud sound. What follows next is a massive punch to the big lizard's face and it is thrown into the sea with such force, that it doesn't get back up and sinks to the bottom. Rika won! People all around the city watching from where they were, let out a huge cheer that was so loud, she could hear everyone in town celebrating her victory.
She feels content and waves to the smoldering city as a portal opens up in front of her. Words enter her mind just as she steps through the portal. "Thank you. Please visit our world whenever you like. This is now your second home. Just be aware that the battle is not over. There are others on their way to threaten the peace of this world. Until then enjoy your rest, hero.

Rika arrives in her room and walks over to her bed. She lays down and thinks about what just happened. She glances over at the clock and notices the time... 10am. "What? It's only been 10 minutes? How is that possible?" She then thinks that maybe it was all dream or an illusion created by her mind. She then remembers the fact that she stood in the center of the city. She sits up, picks up her foot and looks at the bottom of it and a sweat drop comes down her head from what she sees.

A large cluster of tiny faint colored red spots and a very tiny crushed car. She peels off the flattened car from the ball of her foot and holds it on her fingertip. "I guess this did happen after all...." sweatdrop
