Princess ShaylaPrincess Shayla is the Princess of the Animarium, a floating landmass that is the last remnant of the lost world of Animaria. After the defeats of Animus and Master Org, she fell asleep for centuries. However, she was reawakened along with the Org spirits by the pollution caused by humans. Shayla serves as the adviser to the Rangers, as well as filling the role of damsel in distress. However, she can and will defend herself if absolutely necessary. This is proven in the episode The Master's Herald. She has a romantic relationship with her former protector, Merrick Baliton, but he refuses to let his feelings get in the way of his duty. After Master Org was destroyed, Shayla took back the Wild Force Powers and went back into the sky, until the WildZords are needed to protect the earth once more.
After the defeats of Animus and Master Org, she fell asleep for centuries. 3,000 years later, she was reawakened along with the Org spirits by the pollution caused by humans. Shayla serves as the advisor to the Rangers, and at times fills in a "damsel in distress" role, but, as proven in the episode The Master's Herald, she can and will defend herself if absolutely necessary.
She is kind and very accepting, notably showing kindness to the evil Zen-Aku when he appeared to be in pain, despite him having kidnapped her and being a powerful enemy (though he was later proven to be Merrick Baliton under a curse), but she has a strong will. She has romantic feelings for and an on-and-off relationship with Merrick, the Lunar Wolf Ranger—her former protector from 3,000 years ago—due to the fact that he refuses to let his reciprocated feelings for her show because of his guilt over what happened during the original Master Org's demise and what he feels is his duty.
After the Master Org of the present-day was destroyed, Shayla took back the Wild Force Ranger Powers and raised the Animarium back into the sky, until they and the Wildzords were needed to protect the earth once more.
Princess Shayla lives on the Animarium, an island in the sky. The wild zords live on the Animarium as well. She had been asleep for three thousand years until the Earth became polluted and the Orgs started to make a comeback. She needed help and started her search for Wild Force Rangers. Her first guardian was Taylor Earhardt, the Yellow Wild Force Power Ranger. Princess Shayla soon found another guardian, Alyssa Enrile, the White Wild Force Power Ranger. Max Cooper (Blue Wild Force Power Ranger ) and then Danny Delgado (Black Wild Force Power Ranger) joined the team. The group worked well for a time, but soon Princess Shayla and rest of the Rangers knew they needed a fifth Ranger. Princess Shayla has a pond which contains the sacred waters. Princess Shayla uses this to monitor what is happening on Earth. She watched Cole Evans freed several animals from a laboratory and knew who the fifth Rangers would be. Cole was brought to the Animarium by the other Rangers and he became the Red Wild Force Rangers. Princess Shayla also uses her necklace to communicate with and gives instructions to the Rangers, when they are in Turtle Cove.

Princess Shayla can also live inside the pond. When she emerges from the pond, there is a shower of sparkles and then her body is form. The pond is also capable of telling Princess Shayla and the Rangers when there is danger by a sudden, strong, burst of water that shoots up. Princess Shayla and the Rangers were able to look into the pond after this burst of water and the sacred waters would reflect what Org was attacking. Princess Shayla makes the jacket/vests that the Rangers wear.

Princess Shayla watched as Taylor stormed off. Cole had just commented that Taylor's rulebook had too many rules, and they only needed one, teamwork. Princess Shayla told Cole that a lot had changed in three thousand years, and she had relied on Taylor for guidance. Taylor had been her only Ranger for six months, before Alyssa joined the team. Cole asked Princess Shayla if she could tell him about Animaria. Princess Shayla told Cole, Alyssa, Danny, and Max about what it was like three thousand years ago, when people respected nature. Animals and people lived in harmony. Unfortunately, Master Org arose and set about destroying Animaria. The people of Animaria flew while the five ancient warriors did their best to fight off Master Org, Jindrax, Toxica, and their army of Putrids. Princess Shayla's protector took her to the temple of the valley of the wild zords. Reluctantly, her protector left her at the temple. Princess Shayla went to sleep, while the ancient warriors cut a piece of Animaria and sent into the sky. Princess Shayla told them that the ancient warriors had entombed the orgs. The pollution on Earth had cause the ground to weaken and the Orgs are rising once more. Later, Princess Shayla kept a close eye on Taylor. Taylor had been attacked by Camera Org and was now invisible. Princess Shayla stayed by Taylor's side, until Camera Org's lens were scattered and Taylor was returned to normal. Later, Princess Shayla was happy to see Taylor accept Cole as the leader. Taylor and Cole shook hands and were soon joined by Alyssa, Danny, and Max. Princess Shayla knew that she had picked the right guys for her team.

Princess Shayla emerged from her pond. She had heard Alyssa looking for her. Princess Shayla asked Alyssa what was wrong. Alyssa told her that during a class archeological dig, she had discovered a rock drawing that looked just like the symbol on their belt buckles. Princess Shayla wanted to look at the drawing. Taylor thought there might be trouble, and Cole decided to go with the two of them. Princess Shayla walked along with Alyssa and Cole in Turtle Cove, unaware of the strange looks she got. On their way, Tire Org appeared. Alyssa stood protectively in front of Princess Shayla. Alyssa and Cole morphed into Rangers to protect the Princess, but Tire Org managed to grab her. Princess Shayla fought against Tire Org, but Tire Org soon had her contained and reverted to the form of a tire and took off. The rest of the Rangers joined White Ranger and Red Ranger in chasing after Tire Org. Later, they caught up to Tire Org on their new savage cycles. Within the tire, Princess Shayla could tell that it was slowing down. She didn't realized that White Ranger was on top of the org on her savage cycle. After White Ranger leaped off, the Rangers fired at Tire Org, which cause the Org to release her. Princess Shayla flew through the air and White Ranger caught her. The rest of the Rangers gathered around her and asked her if she was okay. She assured them that she was. Toxica appeared and had the Tire Org grow large. The Wild Zords arrived and the Rangers battled the Tire Org. Meanwhile, Princess Shayla examined the archeological dig, sensing the presence of another wild zord. Toxica and Jindrax appeared and force Princess Shayla into the cave. Master Org was waiting and told her only some one pure of heart could release the wild zord. Princess Shayla examined the drawing and told Master Org she could not release the wild zord, she was not chosen. Angry, Master Org told her that if he couldn't have it, no one could, and start the cave shaking. White Ranger appeared and tried to help Princess Shayla, but both were knocked down by falling rock. Toxica and Jindrax were suppose to finish the job, but they didn't want to be trap in the cave and left. Princess Shayla and Alyssa stirred and got up. Alyssa was upset, when she saw the drawing destroyed and Princess Shayla feared the wild zord would be trapped forever. Alyssa took a closer look and soon a green glow emerged and a crystal appeared in Alyssa's hand. Princess Shayla told Alyssa that the Elephant zord had chosen her. They left the cave and soon witness the Elephant zord breaking out the wall of the mountain. The Elephant zord would help the Rangers in defeating the Tire Org. Later, on the Animarium, Alyssa, Taylor, Max, Danny, and Cole were puzzled over another zord and wondered why Princess Shayla had not said anything. Princess Shayla overheard them and told them that only five wild zords were left on the Animarium with her. The rest of the wild zords had helped in the battle of Animaria. Princess Shayla told them that there may be more wild zords waiting for the right time to appear.

Princess Shayla kept an eye on Max. Max had been hurt in a prior battle and was now sleeping. The rest of the Rangers were battling Ship Org. Max woke up with a start. Max told Princess Shayla that he had a dream, where a voice told him to use the spear of...and Max couldn't get the name right. Max asked her what it meant, but Princess Shayla didn't now. Max got ready to leave. Princess Shayla told Max that he needed to rest. Max told her no one beat Sharkie in the water. Later, Princess Shayla realized what Max's dream meant. The Rangers were in their zord, when Blue Ranger heard the voice again and then a crystal appeared. Princess Shayla contact Blue Ranger and told him that Bardolous was an ancient warrior. Bardolous could sense the good in Blue Ranger's heart and wanted him to use the spear of Bardolous. The spear of Bardolous was the giraffe wild zord, which helped the Rangers defeat Ship Org.

The wild bear zords soon joined the Rangers. But their power was too great for the lion zord and the lion zord became ill. Princess Shayla told Alyssa, Taylor, Danny, Max, and Cole of the Soul Bird, who had the power to heal the wild zords. Unfortunately, the Soul Bird had stayed below to help fight the battle for Animaria. Cole became determined to find the Soul Bird, even though Princess Shayla had cautioned that the Soul Bird was not spotted often. Cole would find the Soul Bird, and then have it destroyed by Master Org. Cole found the egg of the Soul Bird and brought it back to the Animarium. Princess Shayla cared for the egg, treating it as a baby, holding it and humming to it. The Rangers were engaged in another battle, this time with Freezer Org. Freezer Org had managed to freeze the Rangers' zords and Rangers' crystals. The egg began to glow and Princess Shayla knew what to do. She went to Turtle Cove and at the scene of the battle. Princess Shayla held the egg out and it began to glow. A twinkling sound could be heard from the egg. The egg healed the zords and unfroze the crystals, which flew back to the Rangers. The Rangers were battling again, when the egg hatched. The baby Soul Bird emerged and wanted to heal the lion. Princess Shayla watched as the Soul Bird healed the lion and the Rangers defeated Freezer Org.

It was nighttime and Cole had just finished telling Max a story about a wolf beast. Cole had noticed Princess Shayla sitting apart and gazing at the moon. Cole walked over to Princess Shayla and told her she was so quiet, he had forgotten she was there. Cole asked her why she never slept. Princess Shayla replied that she was asleep for three thousand years, that's enough for anyone. Cole noticed that she was still staring the moon and asked her why. Princess Shayla told Cole that moon stirred her, she couldn't remember why. The following day, in the Animarium, a sudden gust of wind blew through. Princess Shayla rubbed her arms up and down and sense something evil was about to happen. She gazed at her pond and saw the reflection of a tomb. Princess Shayla contacted the Rangers, who had just defeated Vacuum Org, and told them that something evil was about to be set free. Princess Shayla warned the Rangers to hurry. After the battle with Vacuum Org, which they defeated, the Rangers raced into the woods, toward the tomb. The Rangers were too late, as Nazyor realized Zen-Aku. Zen-Aku attacked the Rangers, defeated them, and took the elephant zord.

Taylor, Cole, Danny, Max, and Alyssa returned to the Animarium. Princess Shayla made some medicine for their injuries and applied to them. Princess Shayla was attending Alyssa's injuries when she asked her what would happen to her elephant zord. Princess Shayla didn't have an answer for her. Taylor asked Princess Shayla if their had been anything about a wolf org. Princess Shayla told them that she had been asleep for three thousand years, anything could have happened. She could tell they were disappointed by her answer. Princess Shayla told them that they needed to rest. Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Taylor protested. Cole told them that Princess Shayla was right, they needed to rest, so that they would work better as a team. The following morning, Max, Danny, and Cole greeted Princess Shayla with more energy. They told her that the medicine worked great. Danny, Cole, and Max wondered where breakfast was and assumed Alyssa was still sleeping. Taylor had just finished her run and told them that they were wrong, Alyssa was up before they were. Then they realized that Alyssa had left to find the elephant zord. They all left. Later, Princess Shayla went looking for the lion zord. She told the lion zord that she needed his wisdom and asked what would happen to the elephant zord. Princess Shayla was stunned by the lion zord's answer. Later, Max, Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, and Danny returned to the Animarium. They told Princess Shayla that Zen-Aku had three dark wild zords of his own. Princess Shayla told them that once the dark zords were good, like their zords. Zen-Aku is so powerful, that he can control the zords and turned them evil. Alyssa asked Princess Shayla if her elephant zord would be turned evil. Princess Shayla told Alyssa she didn't know, and then bowed her head.

The pond shot a burst of water. Princess Shayla quickly took a look and told the Rangers it was Zen-Aku. The Rangers left quickly. Princess Shayla stayed by the pond and watched the Rangers battle Zen-Aku. The Rangers did not do well and returned. Princess Shayla sat by the pond and fingered her necklace. Something was troubling her. Princess Shayla decided to investigate. Taylor asked Princess Shayla where she was going. Princess Shayla told her that something was not right with Zen-Aku and she wanted to go where Zen-Aku was first spotted. Taylor told Princess Shayla that she would go with her. The two left and soon located the tomb where Zen-Aku was released. Princess Shayla examined the tomb and told Taylor that something was not right. Motorcycle Org appeared. When Taylor's first assignment was to defeat Motorcycle Org, but she couldn't do it. Princess Shayla had used her magic and then sealed Motorcycle Org. As Yellow Ranger battled Motorcycle Org, Princess Shayla was captured by Zen-Aku. Yellow Ranger was defeated and Zen-Aku and Motorcycle Org walked away with Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla sat in a small room with Zen-Aku and Motorcycle Org. Zen-Aku kept staring at Princess Shayla's necklace and asked her where she got it and why she wore it. Princess Shayla told him it was a gift from someone special and she wore it in his memory. The Rangers soon arrived and Zen-Aku, Motorcycle Org, and Princess Shayla stepped out. Motorcycle Org and Yellow Ranger battled, and Zen-Aku would let no one interfere. Yellow Ranger defeated Motorcycle Org. Zen-Aku called forth is wild dark zord and started attacking the Rangers. Zen-Aku was ready to deal a fatal blow, but Princess Shayla stood in front of the Rangers. Zen-Aku did not attack. Zen-Aku told Princess Shayla that she must go with him, as he had many questions to ask her. The Rangers would not let Zen-Aku take Princess Shayla again. During the battle, Yellow Ranger lost her two bear crystals to Zen-Aku. Zen-Aku left the Rangers to stew in their defeat, but not before Princess Shayla noticed that Zen-Aku was bleeding.

Princess Shayla and the Rangers continued to puzzle over Zen-Aku. Zen-Aku had protected a wolf pup and attacked Toxica. Later, Zen-Aku would attack and destroy Lawnmower Org. The Rangers were stunned when a vision appeared out of the sky. It had looked like a megazord and spoke to Zen-Aku, urging him to remember. The Rangers returned to the Animarium and asked Princess Shayla about what had appeared in the sky. Princess Shayla told them that it was Animus. Animus was the ancestor of the wild force zords and fought in the battle of Animaria. She was surprised that Animus spoke to Zen-Aku, before he had only spoken to the six ancient warriors. The Rangers were surprised that there had been six ancient warriors. Later, in another battle, Animus appeared before Zen-Aku again. Princess Shayla watched in the pond and in surprised muttered one word, Merrick.

The Rangers returned to the Animarium and told Princess Shayla of how Animus had appeared again. Princess Shayla told them that Animus had appeared to her in a vision. Animus told her what had happened to the sixth ancient warrior. Merrick had put on wolf mask to fight against Master Org and how the mask began to take over and make Merrick evil. The five ancient warriors used their crystal sabers to encased Merrick in a tomb, thanking him for his sacrifice. Cole, Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Taylor tried to figure out how to break the curse on Merrick. Cole realized that when he had spotted Merrick, in the lake with the wolf pup, there had been no moon. They left quickly to find Merrick. Instead, they got Zen-Aku, who refused to listen to them. Princess Shayla watched the Rangers from her pond. Suddenly a glow came from the pond, and Animus appeared. Princess Shayla watched as the clouds covered the moon and Zen-Aku cried out in pain. She realized that Animus was trying to help them. The moon was covered only for a short time, enough for Merrick to met the Wild Force Rangers. Soon Nazyor had the moon out in force. Princess Shayla pleaded for more time, but Animus could not help her. Merrick reverted back to Zen-Aku. Danny, Max, Alyssa, Taylor, and Cole went searching for Zen-Aku and finally found him. The Rangers were soon engaged in another battle with Zen-Aku. Princess Shayla paced back and forth and soon realized that it was not the wolf mask that had cursed Merrick, it was when the zords became dark zords, that Merrick became cursed. Princess Shayla contacted the Rangers and told them to destroy the Predazord and the curse would be broken. The Bison zord got help from his friend, a little armadillo zord and the Rangers were able to destroy the Predazord. Princess Shayla raced through the woods in Turtle Cover, trying to find Merrick. She soon spotted him laying the ground. Princess Shayla raced to his side and cradle his head onto her lab. She was overcome with emotion. Princess Shayla stayed there until she heard Max, Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, and Danny calling out for Merrick. She laid Merrick's head gently on the ground and raced away before Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, Danny, and Max arrived.

After Merrick refused to join their team, Taylor, Cole, Danny, Max, and Alyssa returned to the Animarium. They told Princess Shayla what had happened. Danny asked Princess Shayla if she thought Merrick would at least be their friend, but she had no answer for him. Later, the Rangers left to battle once more. Princess Shayla watched in her pond. Merrick was battling Quadra Org. Quadra Org had already defeated the Rangers. Princess Shayla yelled at the pond for Merrick to stop, but Merrick didn't. Merrick kept going after the Quadra Org and soon his zords came back to him and a morpher appeared on his wrist. Princess Shayla was thrilled when she saw Merrick morphed into the Lunar Wolf Power Ranger. Lunar Wolf Power Ranger used his Predazord, which was now good, and with the Rangers and their zord, destroyed the Quadra Org. Lunar Wolf Power Ranger then went after Nazyor and retrieve the four stolen animal crystals. Princess Shayla went to the beach on Turtle Cove and watched, unseen, as Merrick return the stolen animal crystals to Taylor, Max, and Alyssa. Merrick left them, telling them he was going to go wherever the wind took him. They asked him if he wanted to help Princess Shayla. Merrick paused for a moment, and then kept walking.

Princess Shayla sat in her chair in the Animarium. She was lost in thoughts about Merrick and their past. Princess Shayla remembered the day Merrick gave her the necklace she still wore. She remembered when Merrick brought her to the temple. Princess Shayla had wanted Merrick to stay with her, but Merrick told her it was her destiny to stay with the five wild zords, only she could protect them. Merrick had laid her gently down and Princess Shayla watched him walk away. She was brought back to the present when Alyssa asked her a question. Taylor, Cole, Danny, Max, and Alyssa were talking about their latest battle. Princess Shayla told them that she too, was glad that Merrick was back. Which had nothing to do with what Cole, Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Taylor had been talking about. Later, the pond burst with water. They all raced over and Taylor told Princess Shayla that the water was practically erupting. Princess Shayla told them it must be a powerful Org and to be careful. Later, they would return with news that they had battle a new general - Necronomical. Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Cole were deep in discussion over the new general and the disappearance of Toxica. Princess Shayla walked back and forth, lost in her own thought and unaware that Taylor was watching her closely. The wolf zord arrived and began to howl. Cole got up and walked towards Princess Shayla. Cole told Princess Shayla that the wolf zord wanted her to go with him. Princess Shayla quickly left with the wolf zord and ended up outside Willie's Roadhouse, where Merrick was now working and living. Princess Shayla stood and watched Merrick chop some logs. Merrick sense someone else was there and turned around. Merrick was very happy to see Princess Shayla, and then remembered himself and bowed to her. Princess Shayla walked closer and Merrick told her that he was glad that she was okay. Merrick turned around and Princess Shayla hug his back. Merrick turned around and gently separated them. Merrick told Princess Shayla that he still had a mission to complete. Merrick also told her that he was her protector and could be nothing more than that to her. Princess Shayla was stunned and hurt. Merrick turned his head, so he wouldn't see her pain. After a few moments, Princess Shayla walked away. Later she would make a jacket for Merrick, that Taylor would deliver to him.

Princess Shayla contacted the Rangers and told them about Signal Org in Turtle Cove. Later, Alyssa would discover an old newspaper article in the library. The article stated the three scientists and baby were lost in jungle and presumed dead. Princess Shayla went to Turtle Cove cemetery with Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, Max, and Danny. Cole was very upset that he would never see his parents again. Taylor pointed out that the newspaper article had assumed that he was dead as well, but he's not. Taylor told Cole that maybe, like Cole, his parents were lost in the jungle. Princess Shayla nodded her head. She, Danny, and Max, walked towards Cole, Alyssa, and Taylor and tried to offer some comfort.

Princess Shayla walked around in the Animarium, humming a familiar tune. She was unaware that her humming had awoken the Deer zord. Later, the pond's water erupted. Princess Shayla and Cole, Alyssa, Danny, Max, and Taylor hurried towards it. Princess Shayla told them it was another Org, and they quickly hurried away. Princess Shayla watched anxiously as the Rangers battle Tombstone Org. The Rangers had a difficult time, even with the Lunar Wolf Ranger's help. Deer zord appeared and trapped Tombstone Org, but then walked away from the Rangers. Alyssa, Danny, Max, Taylor, and Cole returned to the Animarium and asked Princess Shayla about the Deer zord. Princess Shayla told them the Deer zord had the ability to trap an Org, but it was only temporary. The Deer zord is capable of healing zords and humans. Danny and his friends wanted to know why the Deer zord did not stay. Princess Shayla told them how she and Merrick used to sing and play for the Deer zord every morning. She assumed the Deer zord was mad because he didn't understand why they had stopped playing for him. Cole suggested that Princess Shayla and Merrick play for the Deer zord again. Princess Shayla told them that things were different now. Later, the pond erupted again - Tombstone Org had broken from the trap. Max, Taylor, Cole, Alyssa, and Danny quickly left. Moments later, Princess Shayla was stunned when Animus appeared in her pond. Animus told Princess Shayla she must play for the Deer zord again. Princess Shayla left the Animarium and walked in the valley of the mountains of Turtle Cove. She came across Merrick, who had been trying to explain to the Deer zord what had happened and apologized. Merrick was happy to see Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla told Merrick that she had come because of the Deer zord. Merrick picked up his flute and Princess Shayla began to sing her nature song to the Deer zord. After the song, Deer zord was happy again and sent his animal crystal to Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla and Merrick hurried over to the Rangers and showed them that they now had the Deer crystal. Deer zord immediately went into action and helped the Rangers by defeating Tombstone Org and healing the injured wild zords. After the battle, Princess Shayla walked with Merrick, Cole, Alyssa, Danny, Max, and Taylor. They had thanked her for her help, and Princess Shayla told them it was because of Animus. Animus appeared in the sky and they all thanked him. Merrick told Animus, he was still his friend. Animus replied you're welcome before disappearing. Gleefully, Princess Shayla told Merrick that they would have to play at sunrise for the Deer zord every morning. Merrick started to protest, telling Princess Shayla it was not proper. Princess Shayla playfully told Merrick that she had promised the Deer zord they would play every morning, it was what Animus wanted. She told Merrick that she would see him early tomorrow morning. Merrick watched as his Princess walked away, happiness in every step.

Princess Shayla tended to Alyssa, Taylor, Danny, and Max. She treated their wounds. Taylor, Danny, Max, and Alyssa had been injured during a battle with Nazyor and were now unconscious. Super Nazyor reappeared in Turtle Cove. Princess Shayla was worried as Cole and Merrick left to battle him. Later, Princess Shayla appeared in Turtle Cove. The Rangers had defeated Super Nazyor with the help of the Falcon zord. She waved happily at Danny, Max, Alyssa, Cole, Merrick, and Taylor and quickly joined them. Cole asked Max, Alyssa, Taylor, and Danny what had happened. They tried to remember what had happened, but it seemed the more they tried to remember, the more they forgot. Danny seemed to think there was a small child. Taylor thought maybe they were not suppose to remember. Princess Shayla looked up at the sky as she agreed.

Princess Shayla sat at the table with Cole, Danny, Max, and Alyssa. Taylor stood apart from the rest of them. Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Cole told Princess Shayla about their battle against three strange creatures in Turtle Cove and how they met other Power Rangers. Princess Shayla was surprised and she asked them if they were nice. Max, Alyssa, Cole, and Danny all told her that they were nice, but Taylor told her no. Max teased Taylor by stating that Taylor especially liked the Quantum Ranger. Later, Princess Shayla emerged from her pond to greet Wes Collins and Eric Myers. Princess Shayla told them the three creatures were Orgs, but unlike any she has ever encounter before. Wes and Eric took out the viewing screen and contacted Trip. Princess Shayla and her friends were surprised. Trip told them the creatures they were battling were half org and half mutant. Time Force had classified them as Mut-Orgs.

Everyone had left to battle the Mut-Orgs. Princess Shayla sat in front of the viewing screen. She poked at it a couple of times, but couldn't get anything out of it. Alyssa, Danny, Max, Taylor, Cole, Eric, Wes, and Jen (who had rescue the Rangers in their battle against the Mut-Orgs) returned and in dejected spirits. The Mut-Orgs had gotten the better of them. Princess Shayla told Wes the viewing screen had beeped after they had left. She believed a fowl was inside the screen. Wes and the rest quickly went to the viewing screen and Wes got it working. Circuit appeared on the screen. Circuit told them Lucas, Katie, and Trip were preparing to travel to the past - reinforcements were on the way. Everyone was relieved. That evening, Princess Shayla's Animarium was full of people. Not only had the time ship brought back Katie, Trip, and Lucas. It had also brought back Circuit, Ransik and Nadira. Ransik told them how he had come across the three Orgs and how they became Mut-Orgs with his help and in return they had made his whole body a weapon. Ransik wanted to correct what he had done in the past. Jen told him that no matter how hard they tried, you cannot change the past, but you can work towards a better future. Jen released Ransik and accepted his help. The following morning, the pond erupted with water. The pond reflected the three Mut-Orgs. Princess Shayla and Ransik were standing next to each other, looking at the pond. Princess Shayla realized that was why the Mut-Orgs had returned to the past - to meet with Master Org and change the future. Everyone was ready to stop them. Later, after the Rangers had defeated the Mut-Orgs, and in the process Ransik became human, Princess Shayla and Circuit prepared a picnic for the returning heroes. Princess Shayla heard her name called out in several voices. She happily wave at Cole, Danny, Max, Merrick, Alyssa, Taylor, Jen, Katie, Lucas, Trip, Wes, Eric, Ransik and Nadira. The celebration picnic was a huge success and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.

Princess Shayla contacted the Rangers and told them Merrick is in trouble. Later, Cole, Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Taylor returned to the Animarium. They told Princess Shayla that Zen-Aku was back and they had returned with the Wolf crystal and Merrick gone. Max had thought Zen-Aku and Merrick were the same. Cole didn't understand how come Zen-Aku was more powerful. Princess Shayla told them before the powers of the mask were divided between Zen-Aku, Merrick, and the dark zords. Now Zen-Aku had all the power to himself. That evening, Princess Shayla sat and held the Wolf crystal in her hand. She stared at the moon, worried about Merrick. Soon the Wolf zord appeared and told Cole that Merrick needed their help. Later, after the Rangers defeated Zen-Aku, they decided to have a party. Princess Shayla and Alyssa limbo and the others wondered when Merrick was going to show up. Princess Shayla told them not to take it personally, Merrick had always been a bit of a lone wolf. She told them Merrick was celebrating in his own way.

Cole, Alyssa, Max, Taylor, and Danny tells Princess Shayla of a new Org general, Mandilok and his two generals, Artilla and Helicos. Cole is worried about a young boy, Kite, he had met at the construction site. Princess Shayla assures them that she knows how to find Kite and tells them to take care of the new Orgs. Princess Shayla, carrying a basket of food, walks and searches the construction site in Turtle Cove. Princess Shayla soon spots another shadow following her. Smiling, Princess Shayla sits down and starts to make a fuss over Alyssa's spaghetti and sandwich. Kite appears and Princess Shayla offers him some. Kite angrily tells Princess Shayla to leave, she doesn't belong here. Princess Shayla is hurt by this response. Kite sees he has hurt Princess Shayla and apologizes. Princess Shayla offers the food again and asks Kite if his mother makes spaghetti. The aroma from the food attracts Mandilok. Mandilok demands the food. Princess Shayla shields Kite and contacts the Lunar Wolf Ranger, telling him they are in trouble. The Lunar Wolf Ranger appears and tells Princess Shayla and Kite to hid. They hid and watch the battle. Kite unexpectedly leaves and Princess Shayla is unable to stop him. Distracted, Princess Shayla is hurt by Mandilok. Mandilok retreats and Lunar Wolf Ranger tends to her wrist. Kite had appeared again. The Rangers cannot contact their zords. Princess Shayla tells Lunar Wolf Ranger and Kite that something is blocking the signal and doesn't want the zords to come. Kite tells them the animals are unhappy. Princess Shayla and Lunar Wolf Ranger ask Kite about the animals. Kite tells them he protects them and leads them to their place. Princess Shayla and Lunar Wolf see several scattered stone animals sticking out of the ground and recognize them as the ancient warriors who had fought in the battle of Animaria. Kite tells them he always feels sad when he sees them. Princess Shayla pleads with the animals to help them. A strong burst of energy appears and the animals are assembled into a memorial. The signal is no longer blocked and the Rangers can call their zords. Later, Princess Shayla and her friends move the memorial from the construction site, to a more befitting area. Princess Shayla lays a group of flowers at the base as she, Merrick, Cole, Max, Danny, Alyssa, and Taylor paid a silent tribute to the ancient warriors.

Early in the morning, on the Animarium, Princess Shayla and Merrick play their song for the Deer zord. Some of Merrick's notes sound awful and Princess Shayla tells him so. They get into a big argument and Princess Shayla believes that Merrick is just messing up because he doesn't want to play with her. Merrick yells that maybe he enjoys being alone. Princess Shayla storms off after telling Merrick that he is a terrible musician and she never wants to sing with him again. Princess Shayla sits and fumes. Alyssa wakes up and asks her why she is not singing with Merrick. Princess Shayla lashes out about how she never wants to see Merrick again. Later, the pond erupts and Taylor, Alyssa, Max, Danny, and Cole recognize Flute Org from an earlier battle. They tell Princess Shayla how they wish they had destroyed Flute Org's flute. Princess Shayla is taken aback as she realizes that she has blamed Merrick for Flute Org's music. The Rangers leave to battle and Princess Shayla monitors them in the pond. She is puzzled as she watches Alyssa, Max, Danny, Cole, and Taylor dancing and asks them while they are not stopping Flute Org. Max, Danny, Cole, Taylor, and Alyssa are under the spell of the flute. Princess Shayla doesn't know what to do. She is started when Merrick calls out her name. Merrick tells her that she is right in stating he doesn't stay at the Animarium. Merrick explains to Princess Shayla how hard it is for him to be here, the memories of all his friends and what life was like three thousand years ago. Merrick smiles as he tells her that he does enjoy playing the flute for her. Princess Shayla smiles back and tells him she is sorry she didn't realize how painful it was for him to be on the Animarium. She also tells him that he isn't an awful musician. They smile at each other until Princess Shayla realizes that they need to help the Rangers. Princess Shayla and Merrick arrived in Turtle Cove and begin singing. It is enough to break the spell for the Rangers. Even the Deer zord appears to listen as well. Princess Shayla is thrilled and tells Merrick that the Deer zord has come to listen to them sing. Merrick jokes around and tells her he thought the Deer zord came to hear his flute. Princess Shayla playfully pushes him, which knocks Merrick off the top of a building. Merrick morphs and is unhurt. Much to Princess Shayla's relief. The Rangers battle Flute Org, but they have a very tough time. Animus appears, and with his bow and arrow, destroys Flute Org's flute. The Rangers are then able to destroy Flute Org. Princess Shayla stands with the Rangers as they asked Animus - who is in the sky now - how it is possible that he has return. Animus does not reply and disappears. Lunar Wolf walks away in frustration and demorphs. Princess Shayla calls out to Merrick, to remind him they need to sing for the Deer zord in the morning. Merrick acknowledges that he will be there. Princess Shayla smiles.

Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, and Danny are puzzled over Animus' recent appearance. Princess Shayla is puzzled as well. She tells them she had seen Animus destroyed by Master Org three thousand years. Alyssa wonders if Animus has been reborn and where he would be now. Max and Kite entered the Animarium. Max had brought Kite because Kite was hungry. Alyssa offers to fix him some food. Later, Princess Shayla watches amuse as Max and Kite chase each other all over the Animarium. Cole finally stops them and tells Kite that he must find his parents. Max offers to help Kite look. Taylor doesn't trust the two "kids" on their own and accompanies them to Turtle Cove.

Princess Shayla overheard Max, Danny, and Taylor grumbling about Merrick and her singing to the deer zord. Princess Shayla told them they should appreciate the song, all the zords loved it. The pond shot out a burst of water. Princess Shayla and the rest looked into the reflection - it was Lion Tamer Org. Cole instructed Kite, who was on the Animarium, to stay with Princess Shayla. Cole and his friends left. Princess Shayla and Kite watched the battle reflected in the pond. Things were not going well for the Rangers. Kite asked Princess Shayla why the zords were not listening to the Rangers. Princess Shayla told Kite the zords were under a spell. Princess Shayla sent the Congo zord and later the Deer zord. Neither one helped the Rangers. Princess Shayla didn't know what to do next. She then realized that Kite was gone. Later, it would be Kite that would break the spell the zords were under.

Cole, Max, Taylor, Danny, and Alyssa asked Princess Shayla where Kite was. Princess Shayla told them Kite had been watching a small box all day. Max recognized the small box as his old TV. Princess Shayla and her friends walked up to Kite. Kite was watching a program about an oil spill and the damage it had cause. Kite asked them why humans were polluting the Earth. Cole told him humans weren't doing it on purpose. Kite was angry and asked them why, as Power Rangers, they were not protecting the Earth. Taylor grab Kite by the shoulders and told him little kids shouldn't talk like that. Kite got upset and ran off. Alyssa told Taylor she shouldn't have yelled at Kite. Taylor assured them Kite would be back. Max, Danny, Alyssa, and Cole decided to search for Kite, not including Taylor. As they left, Taylor told them she would stay on the Animarium in case Kite returned. Princess Shayla stayed quiet. Later, Princess Shayla was walking and started to feel sleepily. She saw the Elephant zord vanished. It was getting harder and harder for Princess Shayla to stay awake. She called out no as the rest of the animal zords on the Animarium vanished. Princess Shayla soon fell to the ground and went into a deep sleep.

Cole would be the one to find Princess Shayla and carried her back to the temple. Danny, Max, Alyssa, Taylor, and Cole placed her on a bed and watched over the sleeping princess. Later, Animus will appeared in the sky and awaken Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla slowly woke up and was surprise to see Animus. She ask him if it was really him, but Animus did not reply. Later, Princess Shayla found the Rangers in Turtle Cove. Lunar Wolf Ranger, in his zord, was battling Toy Org. The rest of the Rangers were unable to help him. Princess Shayla told the Rangers the zords were forever connected to their hearts and if they call on them, the Rangers could send their power to help Lunar Wolf Ranger. The Rangers follow Princess Shayla's instructions and soon Lunar Wolf Ranger's power was increased. Suddenly Animus appeared, wanting to fight alongside Lunar Wolf Ranger. The two battle and destroyed Toy Org. After the battle, Princess Shayla and her friends went to the memorial where Kite was waiting for them. Kite revealed that he was the mystery boy in the dark dimension. Kite told them he took the zords away as a test and they had passed the test. Kite returned the zords to the Rangers and gave Cole a gift, the Red Wild Force Rider, as thanks for saving his life. Kite reverts to Animus and tells them they no longer need him, this is their battle. Princess Shayla and her friends say good-bye to Animus.

Princess Shayla was inside her pond. It was night and she could hear a lot of noise outside the pond. She emerged from her pond and faced her friends, asking them what was going out. Max, Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, and Danny shouted out for her to look out. Toxica, Jindrax, and Onikage were on the Animarium. Toxica made a grab for the Princess, but her friends managed to pull her back. Placed behind her friends and holding Danny's teddy bear, Princess Shayla watched. Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, Danny, and Max prepared to battle. Princess Shayla tried to return back to the pond and Toxica made a grab for her. Toxica fell into the water and was soon crying out in pain. Toxica made to get out of the scared waters and Toxica, Jindrax, and Onikage retreated. The following morning, they all puzzled over why Jindrax, Onikage, and Toxica had wanted the Princess. The pond erupted with water and they looked to see several Orgs reflected there. Cole told Princess Shayla maybe she should stay inside the pond, until they got back. Princess Shayla nodded her head and silently agreed. Once her friends left, Princess Shayla stayed hidden inside the pond. Later, she heard the familiar voice of Merrick, calling for her. She emerged from her pond, happy to see him, and thrilled that he had come to protect her. Merrick did not say too much and flinch from her touch. Princess Shayla told Merrick they could watch the battle from the pond. Princess Shayla watched as the Rangers battled several, previously defeated Orgs. The Rangers were having a difficult time. Princess Shayla urged Merrick to go help the Rangers and then went back to looking at her pond. Princess Shayla was thrilled when Lunar Wolf Ranger arrived to help the Rangers. She turned around and was puzzled when she saw Merrick still standing there. How could he be in two places at once? Princess Shayla realized it was not Merrick on the Animarium. Merrick was actually Toxica in disguise. Princess Shayla contacted the Rangers and told them there was an Org on the Animarium. The Rangers were unable to help her as they were tricked into battling Jindrax and several Putrids. Toxica mocked Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla surprised Toxica by having some battle skills of her own. As she told Toxica, she wasn't only a Princess, she was also a Guardian of the Earth. Princess Shayla and Toxica battle. At one point, Toxica fell into the scared waters. Princess Shayla knew that only those pure of heart, can survive the scared waters. She was stunned when Toxica came out of the water unhurt. Toxica removed her horn and told her Onikage had told her if she had cut off her horn, she would survive the waters. Princess Shayla told Toxica that they were just using her. Toxica didn't listen and soon captured the Princess. Princess Shayla asked her why were they after her. Toxica didn't know and couldn't answer her question. Princess Shayla realized Toxica didn't know and asked her if she just did what she was told. Princess Shayla told Toxica that was the difference between the Rangers and Orgs, the Rangers could choose if they wanted to protect the Earth. Frustrated, Toxica told Princess Shayla to be quiet and took her off the Animarium. Toxica brought Princess Shayla to Mandilok, Onikage, and Jindrax. Princess Shayla was stunned when Toxica dropped to the ground. Jindrax was concerned when he found out Toxica cut off her horn and Toxica reassured him it would grow back. Jindrax was surprised and asked Mandilok and Onikage if that was true. Onikage and Mandilok laughed at them and said no. Toxica crawled on her knees to Mandilok and Mandilok laughed at her. The Rangers had arrived to try and free the Princess. The Ranger fired with their jungle blaster. Mandilok grabbed Toxica and used her as a shield. Mandilok laughed as he told her she finally came to good use before she was destroyed and vanished in a golden glow. Princess Shayla and the Rangers were stunned. Princess Shayla asked Manilok how he could treat his friend like that. Mandilok told her Toxica wasn't his friend and instructed the grieving Jindrax to take the Princess. Reluctantly, Jindrax got the Princess Shayla and vanished with her.

Jindrax returned with Princess Shayla where Mandilok and Onikage stood. The Power Rangers were there as well. Onikage creature the Shadow Rangers and the Rangers were busy battling them. Princess Shayla struggled against her bonds, wanting to help the Rangers. Jindrax, standing behind her, told her quietly she could not help them. Onikage took Mandilok's weapon, so Mandilok could watch the Rangers' destruction in comfort. Onikage then stare in the distance, until Master Org appeared. Onikage was really working for Master Org and gave him Mandilok's weapon. Master Org destroyed Mandilok. Onikage told Master Org that he had already taken care of the witch Toxica, but there was one thorn left. Onikage was preparing to destroyed the surprised Jindrax. Panicking, Jindrax disappeared with Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla was still tied up and she was forced to walk behind Jindrax as Jindrax walked along. They could both hear Master Org's voice as he told Jindrax to come back and bring back the Princess and he would be forgiven. Jindrax sat down and stared into Toxica's mirror, missing his friend. Princess Shayla told him she understood what it was like to lose a friend. Princess Shayla tried to comfort Jindrax and thanked him for saving her life. Jindrax, taken aback, told Princess Shayla he wasn't saving her life, just protecting his. Princess Shayla was his bargaining tool. Jindrax had decided to take Princess Shayla back. Princess Shayla was scared for Jindrax and told him no. She feared Master Org and Onikage would destroy Jindrax. Unfortunately, Onikage found them both. Onikage struck down Jindrax and dragged the unwilling Princess behind him. Onikage returned to Master Org with the Princess. Princess Shayla trembled as Master Org approached her. The Rangers were still battling the Shadow Rangers and were unable to help Princess Shayla. Jindrax arrived and told them he had had it with being an Org. Princess Shayla listened in sympathy as Jindrax told Onikage and Master Org how loyal Toxica had been, to the point of cutting off her own horn, only to be betrayed by her own kind. Master Org told Onikage to put Jindrax out of his misery. Onikage prepared a shadow replica of Jindrax. Jindrax instinctively held up the mirror and the spell reflected back on Onikage, creating a shadow of Onikage. Red Ranger then fire at the shadow Onikage, destroying it and Onikage as well. Jindrax took off. Master Org brought back Onikage and made him large and then vanished with Princess Shayla. Master Org put Princess Shayla in a cell, deep in the Nexus, and told her the Rangers could not help her now. Princess Shayla sat down and started to cry over the lose of the Rangers. Her tears touched her necklace and formed a golden stream that reached out to the Animarium and brought the wild zords to the dimension where Org's spirits go, once they are destroyed. With the zords, the Rangers were able to destroy Onikage and escape the dimension. Princess Shayla was able to watch their battle reflected in her necklace. She slumped in relief as she realized the Rangers were safe.

In her cell, Princess Shayla watched Master Org paced. Master Org noticed her staring and approached her cell. Princess Shayla stood up and told Master Org that she didn't fear him, good will always prevail over evil. Master Org chuckled and told her not this time. Later, Princess Shayla watched as Master Org assembled several items for a ceremony. Eventually, Master Org approached her cell again. Master Org told Princess Shayla she was finally some use to him and snatched the necklace she worn. Princess Shayla was upset over the loss of her necklace and didn't understand what Master Org was planning to do with it.

Princess Shayla watched as Master Org began the ceremony. She asked him what he planned on doing with her necklace. Master Org walked up to her cell and she pleaded with him to stop. Princess Shayla told Master Org that Cole had told her that he had been human once, good. She didn't understand how he had spent his life looking for Animaria, only to destroy it. Princess Shayla told Master Org that Cole had forgiven him for what he had done to his parents and the rest of the mankind would forgive him for the rest of his evil deeds. Master Org told her even if he wanted to stop, he couldn't. Princess Shayla argued that it was never too late. Master Org turned his back on her. Princess Shayla added Dr. Adler. Master Org became furious and told Princess Shayla to never call him that name again. Later, Master Org would his Princess Shayla's necklace to resurrect the Org heart and eat it. The Nexus became to shake. Princess Shayla was trapped. Much to her surprise, Toxica and Jindrax arrived and told her they had come to rescue her. Toxica broke the cell door's lock. Jindrax held the cell door opened, and gave a small bow. Princess Shayla left her cell and gave Jindrax a kiss on the cheek in thanks. Which made Toxica jealous. The Nexus began to shake harder and Princess Shayla, Toxica, and Jindrax started to run. They were stopped by the sight of Master Org floating in the air, his eyes close. Princess Shayla told them Master Org would be destroyed if he stayed. Before their very eyes, Master Org began to crumble into dust. Princess Shayla, Jindrax, and Toxica raced out of the Nexus and made it outside, just in time. Merrick, Alyssa, Taylor, Cole, Danny, and Max ran up to them, relief that Princess Shayla was okay. Princess Shayla greeted them happily and explained what had happened in the Nexus. Max couldn't believe the Orgs had been defeated. Toxica and Jindrax reminded them there were still two Duke Orgs left, and it wasn't over until they said it was over. Taylor asked them if it was over and Toxica and Jindrax told them it was over. They asked them what their plans were, and Toxica explained they were going to hit the road and find themselves. Danny offered them a place to stay at the Animarium, although his friends quickly shut him up. Princess Shayla thanked them for saving her and gave Jindrax another kiss. Jindrax was touched by her affection for him and told her anything for you Princess. Toxica became jealous once more. Toxica and Jindrax left with Princess Shayla and her friends waving them goodbye.

Princess Shayla and her friends threw a party at the Animarium. Merrick even joined in the celebration of the defeat of the Orgs. Taylor took a group shout and afterwards, Max shouted out it was the end of the Power Rangers. Suddenly the party stopped as Max's words sunk in. Princess Shayla sat down, sad that her friends will soon go on to other things. Everyone left and Princess Shayla cleaned up the party mess. She commented to herself that all good things must come to an end. Princess Shayla spotted the photograph Taylor had taken, and looked at it. She told the photograph, I'm going to miss you guys. Later, Princess Shayla felt uneasy and slowly turned around to face the pond. She slowly walked to it. Suddenly the water exploded out of the pond. Quickly, Princess Shayla contacted Cole, Taylor, Max, Danny, Alyssa, and Merrick and told them the biggest Org spirit had just appeared in her pond. Later, Princess Shayla would go into Turtle Cove. The Rangers were facing off Master Org. Animus had arrived to help the Rangers in their battle. Princess Shayla told the Rangers that Master Org was too powerful and they needed to retreat. All the Rangers agreed, except for Lunar Wolf Ranger. Princess Shayla pleaded with Lunar Wolf Ranger to come with them, but he refused. Lunar Wolf Ranger felt he had let Animus down last time, and he wasn't going to let him down again. Princess Shayla understood. She hopped on the back of the Wild Rider and glanced fearfully at Lunar Wolf Ranger as the Rangers left. Later, Princess Shayla would direct the Animarium to hit a giant Master Org. Master Org had been about to step on Merrick and Kite. Princess Shayla beamed the two onto the Animarium and then had the island sped away. Merrick held Kite into his arms. Kite apologized for not being strong enough to help the Rangers defeat Master Org. Kite reminded them that they were the Guardians of the Earth and promised to see them again someday. Kite then vanished into golden sparkles. Princess Shayla and her friends were devastated by the loss of Animus. Later, the Animarium began to shake. Princess Shayla fearfully told them Master Org was on the Animarium. Princess Shayla balanced the injured Merrick beside her. They watched, horrified, as Master Org destroyed one wild zord after another. The Rangers tried valiantly to fight back. For one moment, it looked like the Rangers would be successful as Deer zord trapped Master Org and the Rangers fired upon him. But the Org heart survived and brought Master Org back. Princess Shayla cried out as every one of the wild zords were destroyed. The Rangers' growl phones vanished and their animal crystals shattered. Still in shock, the island was suddenly tipped to the side and hurtled towards Turtle Cove. Princess Shayla and her friends tried to hang on.

Merrick held onto the Princess as the island landed back into Turtle Lake. Princess Shayla and her friends were okay. Rain poured down from dark clouds. They ran inside to get shelter. Danny spotted the giant Master Org and pointed him out to his friends. Fearfully, Princess Shayla stated that Master Org was in Turtle Cove. She sat wearily sat down. Danny told them it was hopeless. Cole told them they still had to fight. Taylor asked how, since they no longer had their Rangers powers. Cole didn't know, but he was not going to give up. Danny and Max agreed and soon the rest did as well. Danny, Max, Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, and Merrick all raced out to fight Master Org. Princess Shayla quietly called after them and told them to be careful. Max, Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, Merrick and Danny battled Master Org and several Putrids. After declaring themselves proudly on top of a building, the sun broke through and dozens of animals crystals appeared in the sky. Suddenly the area was filled with all the wild zords. The Rangers, using their sabers and the wild zords all aimed at Master Org and destroyed him. They also destroyed the Org heart, to prevent it from harming anyone again. Later, the wild zords returned to the Animarium. Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, Merrick, Danny, and Max were very happy as they meet with Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla told them some of the wild zords had been missing for a long time, but now they were finally home, their journey had ended. Princess Shayla faced her friends and added their journey as Power Rangers had ended as well. Her voice full of emotion, she told them they had fought bravely for Animarium and Earth and now the Orgs were defeated. Princess Shayla told them she was taking the wild zords and Animarium will rise in the sky with her. Her friends were upset and Danny asked why she couldn't stay with them. Princess Shayla told them she had to stay with the wild zords. Merrick stepped forward. Princess Shayla and Merrick gripped each other's hands. Merrick told Princess Shayla he was her protector, and would go with her. Princess Shayla told him he was human and had to stay on Earth. Merrick, upset, accepted Princess Shayla's wishes. Merrick stepped back, but they clung to each other's hands for as long as possible. Princess Shayla told her friends she needed their jackets and growl phones. Alyssa, Taylor, Merrick, Danny, Max, and Merrick were stunned. Reluctantly they took off their jackets. Danny told them he didn't think this day would ever come. Alyssa told the Princess that she would miss her. They folded their jackets and handed them to Cole, along with their growl phones. Cole gave them to the Princess. Cole told Princess Shayla she had been the one to help him find his destiny. Merrick added every time they will look in the sky, they would remember her.
