Personality:
Annis is very serious and comes off as a snob. She was raised as a noble woman until she was 18 and still has a sense of entitlement no amount of equality in the Circle could cure her of. It's very rare to see her smile, she's usually frowning or irritated and at best smirking. She does love battle; however, and is a highly talented mage.
She doesn't take kindly to any advance from men or women despite the fact she gets them frequently. She shrugs them off, makes a mean comment, and sticks her nose up for the rest of the day. If someone were to get to friendly she would not be afraid to use a spell on them.
Her friends (though few) are very important to her. She is aware of how she can be and appreciates them sticking by her by showing kindness and extreme loyalty.

Appearance:
She has elaborately decorated golden hair that's either filled with precious gems or expensive pins. When it's down it reaches her just above her lower back but it's rarely down. Her eyes are a periwinkle color with abnormally long eyelashes. Her skin is always pale, the sun never seems to have any affect on her porcelain complexion.
She wears mage robes that look more like the clothes of a noble woman than a spell caster. They are generally a combination of gold and dark purple or sometimes black. She also likes to adorn herself with bright jewelery.

History:
Annis was born to the Arl of West Hills, a nobleman and was raised in a life without want. She was spoiled by her doting father and adoring mother. Still, she was taught the ways of etiquette and politics and was next in line to become the Arlessa.
On a trip to Denerim one of her younger brothers ran off into the woods where he was attacked by bears. She used her magic to save him and her father sent her to the circle.
