Personality: Yan is quick witted and completely full of himself. He doesn't tend care what others think of him and cares simply about enjoying himself. He's a great strategist but tends to lose interest quickly. Yan can be extremely serious to the point of scaring someone and at the drop of a hat burst out grinning and run off to the next topic. He's very critical and slightly dramatic. Despite the fact he tends to look younger then his actual age, especially due to his height, the moment he gets serious you know he's not a kid. He's pretty vain and cocky but he can be pretty considerate, just usually in ways people don't really notice it for what it is.

A little History~
"The landlord introduced him as 'the perverted playboy who doesn't stop to think of gender or feelings' and that I should 'keep away from at all costs.'"
Born a mortal in a dog eat dog world, against his father's wishes his mother quickly tossed him on the street, giving him a safe place to sleep but leaving him to find his own food and the like. Being a child he did his best but was not strong enough yet for most real work and quickly ended up under the wing of a madam. Meeting a young girl in the same straights, minus the prostitution and with a passion for martial arts, he learned from her and started to want real strength. With the death of his father and a goal to obtain he and Shinaki set out, leaving their previous lives behind. The goal was to gain a longer life with the strength of a demon, something that required much training and a so called spiritual journey that few survived. Left by Shin and made to think she'd died he gained a further lack of interest for real relationships and eventually succeeded in his task. Recruited by a syndicate of thieves, he started a long half heartedly but was eventually drawn in by the missions and lifestyle it provided. Set up with twelve real members, each representing an animal of the chinese zodiac, the big boss, and a family of sorts of lower members, there were always tasks at hand as well as the chance to be pitted up against one's former accomplice. The place gave him human connection with no strings but the monkey grew overly attached however to the second boss and things grew complicated. Meeting Shinaki once again much later in life, as if by a twist of fate when she was recruited as well. He enjoyed many the experience over the years but once the second head died the activities of the band were mostly halted. (Feel free to ask for a more detailed account~)
