"Your logic is unimpressive and pathetically put together."
After a year of travelling on many adventures with his/er mother, one causing the loss of his/er shadow, Fayte was left on the doorstep of an older couple who were unable to have children and had given up on adopting due to the politics involved. They took in the baby without caring for his/er lack of shadow or white hair. His/er mother came to him like an angel of sorts, lending the child her shadow and teaching him/er the supernatural things s/he needed to know that the adoptive parents were unable to comprehend. However, Edge was not perfect and Fayte was a much stronger empath then herself. So strong in fact that his/er own emotions were crushed under the ones around him. Since s/he was surrounded by positive emotions most of his/er childhood she didn't notice, assuming s/he was just susceptible to his/er environment. By the time it was realized there was already damage done, making Fayte the strange person s/he is today, and the powers of empathy were sealed. At some point Fayte discovered clothes of the opposite gender that his/er parents had collected (they had collected sets of both in their hopes for a child) and started wearing them as well. His/er mortal parents went along with it, all about gender expression and freedoms. They are a very open and accepting bunch. The ability to control shadows while lacking his/er own started a half assed search for it, and s/he still follows random leads for it but tends to get sidetracked easily, quickly forgetting what s/he was originally doing. Generally s/he's more comfortable with his/er brain in it's natural disarray which can make her/im a bit hard to comprehend or relate to but every so often the webs are cleared to do a certain task. S/he did a stint in joining a band of thieves as an experiment of sorts, ending with his/er quitting once s/he was pitted against someone s/he'd grown to like. Another time s/he set out in order to help a friend who later requested s/he not do it again for him. (Feel free to ask for a more detailed account~)
