I'm finally back from New York City! And very sad. =( I want to live there! I want to go back to there. -nodnod- Well, might as well break it down by day.
Day One: Fell asleep on the flight. We landed in Newark, NJ, then caught a train to New York. As we were leaving the train, these four security security guards were gathered around this big, bloody mass on the ground, trying to decide what to do with it. So, that was weird. We walked to our hotel. On the way, we passed Naked Italian Cowboy who was just wearing red-white-and-blue briefs and a cowboy hat while playing guitar. We got to the hotel, and the keycard said "For some R-rated R & R" and there was a "Mile High Deluxe Intimacy Kit". XDD Parenting fail. We were walking around and passed the Public Library. It was huge. The subway was kinda dirty, and hobos were asking us for money, but it was still cool. There were also lots of cops with machine guns, so that was weird. We caught the subway to Brooklyn, and walked to the first tower on the Brooklyn Bridge. There were some really cool vendors there, but I didn't get anything. Then we went to Wall Street and saw St Peter's Cathedral, I think. I'm not sure which one it was- we saw a LOT of churches, but it was right next to Ground Zero, where their building a sort of memorial/office building. While on Wall Street, I saw a man in a panda suit, who I ran up and hugged. He didn't seem thrilled, but that's okay. Later on we went Ellis Island. We'd been hoping to go to the Statue of Liberty, but all the crown passes were sold out. While at Ellis, we got our faces photo-shopped onto the heads of immigrants. That was fun. =D I wanted to get this super pretty masquerade mask, but they didn't have any for next year's class color day, so I decided against it. They didn't even have black. =/ After Ellis, we headed back to the hotel and took a nap before going to see Wicked. All I have to say is omfg. It was mind-blowingly fantastic. Absolutely indescribable. If you get a chance to see it, see it. It was just beautiful. I almost cried. By the end of the day, my feet hurt so bad. The nighttime was so BRIGHT though! It was incredible. I hadn't known that nighttime could be that bright. Once we got to the point that the three of us could barely walk- and it began raining- we caught a rickshaw to the hotel. It's where a guy on a bicycle pulls you in a carriage-thing. My mom hated it. "It's slave labor!" XDD
Day Two: There was more walking. So. Much. Walking. DX By the end of the day, my feet were literally bright red. We went to MoMA and the Met, and that was cool. We had pizza afterwards, and it was AMAZING. Abby called and talked to me during dinner, and itwas nice to talk to her. I got a lot of messages on FB and my phone saying happy birthday, and that really made me happy.
Day Three: Day three was shopping day~! We went to Rockefeller Center first thing and got a Dr. Leo Spaceman shirt, Psych bobbleheads, and a "i want to go to there." shirt. We then walked to Grenwich Village, where I got a cosplay wig and my mom got some expensive-a** boots. But the're funky cool. I also bought Choop, who is an adorable panda. There was a Tokidoki store, and it had these super cool shoes, but they were the last pair ANYWHERE and the only ones they had were elevens. So that was a fail. I did not want to leave. TT___TT I want to live there. It's amazing. -huggles NYC-
