for some...today is just a day of our life. nothing special.
for others, it's the worst day of our lives, and we just pray it will end soon.
for the rest of us....we live through it. fully realizing the horror of this moment. of every moment. of watching the clips over and over again. of the terror and fear.
today is 9-11
this is the life we live. these are the tears we cry. those are the faces of the innocent children realizing this terrible catastrophe. the pictures are only pictures and nothing mroe. they can't show anything. they only show the "science" of the factor. they don't show the faces of those who didn't make it. the people who are still missing. the hurt that we will always hold. they tell the story, but it is just a story. it does not tell the personlity of the fire fighters, or hear the wails and cries of the terrorists families.
it does not show anything.
and this fear, this terror in us, the pain we feel, it is not who we are. or who we were meant to be. it is not something we strive for.
it is who we have been forced to become, and no amount of security lock down can ever change that.
