So.

Nobody reads gaia journals... but here it is. The story between Himeko Makimachi and SilentVX. (I'll be editing later, I'm rather tired right now.)

We met in The Literate Roleplaying Guild, as chaaracters in a roleplay called Steelhearts. We began talking on messenger outside of the roleplay to plot things related to the roleplay. Eventually, we started talking about all kinds of things. As time went by, I stopped caring about the roleplay and started caring about the wonderful chat sessions we would have together. We chatted almost every day, for many hours into the night. Then, we exchanged phone numbers, but I said I'd rather not talk voice to voice due to nerves.

One night, there was a little bit of drama between me and another friend of mine. I was very upset, and SilentVX called. I didn't answer, due to fright, but then called him back when I was ready. We spoke for the first time. After that, we called each other every night, with silly excuses like "Well, I'm pretty bored, want to call?" or "I'm up for a phone call if you are." A month went by of this, and I started to really like him a lot. After a while, we started falling asleep on the phone together, and waking up together. Inevitably, we arranged a safe meeting in a public place.

A week before SilentVX was going to fly to see me, I had to let him know how I felt. It was the right thing to do, just to let him know that if it was going to be awkward for him to come, please don't. He told me that he felt the same way about me, so our meeting stayed on target.

We met, both nervous, holding hands, and ate dinner with my parents. Lalala, some things happened, and we agreed on starting a committed, long-distance relationship, as tough as it was going to be.

Shortly after that brief meeting, after he went home, he was deployed to the middle east. I sent him care packages, and looked forward to the few chances that he'd get to call and chat with me. He was always on a time limit, and we hardly accomplished anything during those calls, but it was still so nice to hear his voice and know he was okay.

He was deployed for 3 months, and then came home in August. I flew out to see him a few days after he'd gotten home, and we spent another weekend together. We resumed talking on the phone each night (even if there wasn't anything too important to say). After a while, he asked if I'd like to come live with him. I was ecstatic, but of course that meant leaving my job, my family... we planned for it to happen after about 5 months, so I would have plenty of time to prepare.

Then we started living together! We've been together for over a year now, and presently, we're both in a small house in the middle of Texas. I couldn't be happier.
