Uniforms are blue,
blood is red,
the war goes on,
but its never dead.
The trenches are deep,
full of mud,
body parts lay for earth to keep,
as time goes on.
Sounds of bangs
and men screaming,
the war itself,
is never sleeping.
Helplessness never crossed my mind,
as i was held captive behind enemy lines.
I managed to escape,
with only a few breaks.
Seems time has froze over no-mans land,
for nothing moves, no one awake.
Shell shock is a different story,
so says my friend cory.
I miss you so much,
but war keeps us a part.
Nothing is cruel,
compared to being away from you.
I love you so much,
and sister too,
I'll never forget you two.
Now i must go,
go into an eternal sleep.
