THe wild and vicious stormy sky, Swept over the ocean, ever so high. The wavs went crashing, the seagulls soared, And yet the storm could not be ignored.
Under the water far down below, Lives a city of mer folk, come and follow. The merfolk were happy, confident, proud; Their lives as carefree as a soft cloud.
Though the crashing and clashing was heard from above, Their lives were so peacefuland filled with love. For to them storms were really quite dreary, Except for one mergirl who was oh so weary.
She had seen the horror of the storms, The death of the sailors, the widow that mourns. She knew of the sinking of great mighty ships, She watched as they broke chip by chip. How she cried for the poor dear creatures, For they did share similar features. Under the deep they can not survive, Because of the air that they are deprived.
So with a sigh she layed down to rest, She really indeed had tried her best. The dreams to help them she couldn't pursue, For there was really nothing she couold do. With another sigh she fell fast alseep, Under the blue ocean, oh so deep.
