Chapter Eight:War of the Valleys

At dawn,the girls transformed into their warrior forms.Mizu and Elencia were waiting for them outside,along with over 100 elves and at least 50 dragons flying above them.They were ready for war.
Once their weapons were ready,they marched out to the open valley,close to the foothills of the immense mountains.
"Those are called the Udana Mountains,owned by Altindel,the leader of the goat-tribe."Elencia informed.Her eyes were full of disgust as she looked at them.
During the night,Mizu took watch,in case of an evening attack.Once everyone started to fall asleep,they attacked!
"Ready your weapons!"called Mizu.Everyone scrambled to their positions and waited for the signal.The archers anxiously waited to shoot.The swordsman were fiddling with their sheaths and swords.In the distance,a large wave of movement shown in front of the Udana Mountains.
One of their archers shot an arrow that pierced clean through Yukai's hair,cutting it to half it's size.Then an entire wave of arrows flew through the air.Luckily,the dragons stopped most of them with immense blasts of fire.By the time the flames subsided,the mountain-goat tribe were face-to-face with the elves.
Swords clashed together,causing sparks to fly in the battlefield.Elencia,Yukai,and many other magic users were scattered around the middle of the battlefield,for easy access to anybody who needed help.
Many months passed.
Then it became a year.
Altindel was gaining on Elencia swiftly.They met each other and,all at once,sent each other flying from a forceful blow.
"Mom!"Mizu shouted."Are you-"Her voice faded as she was stabbed through the back by a goat warrior.Kayla frightfully watched her fall.As Mizu fell,Kayla's spirit changed.I don't want another friend dying in front of me again...She thought to herself.Kayla began to glow red and yellow,as if fire was literally swirling around her.Her ears and tail grew tense and her nails sharpened to flesh-ripping claws.She had a blood-thirsty look in her eyes and a smile emitting long fangs,ready to tear through anybody's flesh.
The elves and mountain goats stood there,bewildered at what they were seeing.Kayla pounced at such a high speed that almost no one saw her slaughter 5 warriors in her path.Vctim after victim,they each fell in their own little puddle of blood.
Although the elves slaughtered enemies,Kayla took most of the group.Once the very last warrior was left with his head cut off,Altindel became furious.
"Oh,so ya lil' punks thought you'd win with this ol' heck of a machine?"He tauntingly."Well,guess again,ya scrawny weasels!"Altindel started to glow black and purple and,unlike the others,more deadly.
Kayla and Altindel charged at high speed at each other with immense power.Kayla smiled again and pounced,ready to strike.
Die..She tore her claws and tore through him like tissue paper,leaving a long streak of blood down her left arm and back up.
The elves just stared,jaws dropped,even Elencia was dumbstruck when she recovered.Kayla returned to normal.Panting,she limped over to where Yukai was.
"I'm sorry....about the scar...I caused your....family's death.."Kayla coughed and continued,though Yukai wouldn't hear anymore,"I know how you feel.....I also cause my parents death...But now..I'll be able to apoligize.."Kayla dropped to the ground.Everyone knew what happened.
"She over-used her powers,"Elencia said,"She's in a better place now.I know she is."

Chapter Seven:Meeting With the Queen

"Thi is my dragon,Freya," Mizu said as they boarded."I've had her since I was born.My mother says we're inseparable,and it's true."She smiled.
They took off and flew over an immense wall that stretched to the clouds.Once over the wall,they arrived at a palace so big,that it made the adult dragons look like kids!Mizu settled Freya in the dragonhold and celled the others to follow.She opened the main doors and led them to the main hall.
"Whoa..This place is huge!!!"Sarah said.Her voice echoed through the marble floors and walls.Chandeliers hung from the ceiling in the middle of a mural of dragons and Sayumi-Peridoms,along with other mythical creatures.The windows were lined with golden frames and crystals dotted the doors' frames.
"This is just the main hall,you should see the rest of the castle.But not now,please follow me."Mizu said and walked up a large staircase.From there,she led the girls to the left.Down that hall was a large door with dragon patterns everywhere on it,most likely leading to the queen's chambers.Two male elves gaurded the door.One was asleep.
"State your business-"snorted the elf,who woke up from the footsteps.He saw Mizu with her hands on her hips."Oh,my bad,Miss Mizu,you may enter."He laughed in an emberassed manor,then snapped his fingers and the door cracked open.The girls walked inside.
"Good morning,mom,"Mizu greeted gently.A woman turned from the window.She had short red hair with some in some sort of dragon-tail with a long silver ribbon holding it together.She also had a silver and baby blue dress with blue netted sleeves and a strip of shining blue silk to go around her waist.Crystal dragon earrings hung from her pointed elven ears.Her red eyes were filled with sadness and,for some odd reason,disgust..
"Hello,welcome to the Sutaki Valleys,I'm Queen Elencia,ruler of the dragons."She said and walked over to them."Please,have a seat."Elencia gestured to some seats to her right.
Once they were seated,the queen started."I'm very happy you three came here.I'd received word that three more Sayumi-Peridoms have been created.That's why I had Elaine and Elda come get you.All half-bloods are brought to me for training,but you're her for a-more complicated kind of training."The girls winced."You see,I'm not the only kingdom here in the Sutaki Valleys.I have many enemies amongst my home,such as the mountain-goat tribe up north."
"Speaking of the mountain-goats tribe,"Mizu said,"isn't that the reason why you sent them here?"Elencia looked at her daughter,then at the girls."Yes,it is,"she said finally."You see,girls,I sent you here because the mountain goat tribe and the dragon tamers have been in a war for some time now,and I thought this would be grerat training for you to attend to the war and fight along side us."The girls exchanged glances,and decided.
"We will,"Yukai said.Elencia nodded and continued,"Now,before you three came here,did you experience any new abilities?"
"Yes we did,"Sarah answered,"Why?"
"Okay,come with me."Elencia gestured to a staircase to the left that led to the central courtyard.In it was a group of people and even elves and dragons sparring with each other.Swords,claws,and spears clashed with their opponents.Elencia managed to reserve a spot for the trio.Mizu changed clothes shortly before so she could spar with others.
"I'm going to give to give you your first few spells of magic and weapons to fight with."Elencia said and waved her hand.A wave of light blinded the girls,and in a few minutes three weapons appeared in the girls' hands.Sarah had a bow,Yukai was equipped with a sceptor,and Kayla owned a two-headed spear.
"You will use these weapons during the war."Elencia said."These will appear when you summon your spirit.
"Yukai,I gave you extra magic spells because your sceptor functions more on magic."
"Okay,"Yukai said.
"Now,go,you'll need the rest for tomorrow."Mizu showed them to their rooms and they went to bed,preparing for what lie ahead of them.
