I haven't been on Gaia in a long time. I'm still getting used to the new layout but I'm finding that it's not entirely bad. I really like the new shop layouts it makes finding the specific things much easier. Sure, the site still has some glitches but the admins can only work so fast. I can't figure out how to play the card game yet but once I do, I'll be happy. I like blackjack. heart

Remember the old campy Batman show from the sixties, you know, the one with Adam West? Well last night my friends and I rented the Batman movie just for laughs...

That is one of the worst movies that I have ever seen, but it is absolutely hilarious. I highly recommend it, especially if you like really fake exploding sharks, bad make-up jobs, baffling non-logic logic, and last but not least the noble porpoise.

I guess my journal is kind of inconsistant, but that's ok. I've never really been good at keeping a journal anyway. I did end up making a pie. My boyfriend and I did it. My mom helped us though. It was really good.

Anyway I was just thinking that you can change without even realizing it sometimes. About a week ago I was invited to come speak to a class at my college to share my views as a graduate of the course and near the end of the session I stood up to say something that I thought was important and a friend of mine, who had come with me, said that she had never seen me stand up in front of a crowd and speak so strongly before and that she was proud of me. I was happy that she felt that way, but it had seemed to me that I had gotton over my insecuries about public speaking a long time ago. My friend has known me for a very long time and she remembers what I used to struggle through. It occured to me that I have changed a great deal over the years. This may seem a rather obvious thing to say, but sometimes even though you change you don't always know it.

There's a can of cherry pie filling in the pantry. I want to make a pie. heart

Last year I was going to make a black mage costume for a convention that I was going to, but I never finished it so I just wore the hat. This year my friends and I are going to enter the group costume contest so I had to finish my costume. I found someone who was willing to help me sew it together but it turns out that part of the costume was lost. gonk

I suspect that pirates are involved.

Nonetheless, I had to buy a new pattern (the pattern dissappeared with the pieces of my costume) and new fabric. When I got to the fabric store they didn't have the pattern that I needed. But, I found one that was even better heart and my fabric was on sale too biggrin .

Oh and I found a pink link today. Yay for me. heart

It's been a long time since I've posted in my journal. Let's see....my NiGHTS guild is getting to be more popular. I have many members now. I never did get that banner done (I'm a lazy lazy bum) But two of the members have offered to make me banners. That's very nice of them. heart I also got a saturn for my birthday so now I can actually play NiGHTS. 3nodding

I applied to animation at the end of the school year, but I didn't get in crying . But that doesn't mean that I'm going to stop trying. In the meantime I have to get a job. (sigh..)

Oh yeah and I have a funny story to tell.

Last night I went out for dinner with my family. The retaurant we went to is in the basement of a bank building. After dinner I decided to take the elevator back to the ground floor, so I get in and I push the ground floor button. The elevator didn't stop at the ground floor instead it went all the way up to the 14th floor. So I figure that someone called it before I had a chance to hit the button but no one was there. So I push the button again. The elevator goes down but stops at the 7th floor. Again there's no one there. After that the elevator goes back up to the 14th floor, and then back down to the 7th, and then back up to the 14th etc. So I'm stuck on this elevator (which btw is going really really fast) and I don't know what to do and I'm getting dizzy. Finally I get off on the 14th floor and I'm thinking there's no way that I'm going down 14 flights of stairs assuming I can even find them. So I hit the call button again and hoped that I got a different elevator. I did and it took me down to the ground floor.
Next time I take the stairs.

Two journal entries in 3 days. All cause I'm bored, so very very bored.....

There's nothing to do here everyone has gone out and left me crying . and there's no fishing. I like fishing. I like playing games but there's no games to play here and no one to talk to so I'm bored.

Ah winter's here.... sweatdrop , and I'm a summer person. Although I do like to watch the snow from inside my house. So I haven't been on for a while I've been busy with the holidays and whatnot. Still trying to do that banner (though I am seriously debating the point. sweatdrop ) I was also assigned work for the holidays. I've been off for a week and I've done all of nothing. So I have to get off my bum and draw and start taking care of my guild.

On the less internet-based side of my life I'm currently visiting family. That should be fun because I haven't spent christmas with this side of my family for many years. I also got some very nice presents this year (they were given early) and I'm not going to say what they were wink just that I'm grateful.

All in all I'd say the holidays are going very well for me and if I can get that banner done it will be all the better.

Gaia fishing is pretty fun. When you have a proper mouse to do it with (at home I have a laptop with a trackball mouse). I got 4 hours of sleep last night...me tired xp . I was finishing up a layout assignment. I also started making a banner for my:

NiGHTS GUILD YAY!! heart

Unfortunatly no one has joined it yet crying . I hope that once I get the banner done and put it in my sig then some one will join. It's coming along nicely. My classes have really helped to increase my skills. I'll post it here when it's done.
