Edit: I'm sorry that I've taken so long to update. X.x I'm ridiculously lazy, and didn't feel like commenting. But my journal is finally up to date.

Introduction:

I love Avatar Art. I'm an admitted Art Whore, and in the last week alone I've spent more than 50,000 100,000 gold now on comissions because of my renewed obsession. I started a Gaia Journal when they first came out, and deleted it a couple weeks later, because I'm paranoid. So for a long time my journal had no use. But today I realized "Hey, why don't I use my journal to flaunt my Avatar Art?"

And I did. o_o;; The journal is dived into three posts. This introduction, Comissions one post down, and the final post; Gift Art. Comments are loved.


DO NOT bother the artists:

Please. Don't. If the art is in Gift Art, that means they didn't have a shop and just drew me at random. It does not mean that they will draw you if you pester them in PM. If the art is in comissions, and I have the name of the artist, look up their profile. If they have a shop in their signature, and it's not closed or the waiting list isn't full, feel free to order. If not, then they might have closed their shop, so do not PM them.

Please also keep in mind that some of this art is very old, and the artists may have left Gaia.

No matter how much Avatar Art I get, I always love random gift art. I will appreciate it to no end, and you will get a spot on this journal, unless you request otherwise. n.n

Today I accidently deleted my Savebox. In it was links to every piece of art I have ever recieved. Since my memory has been suffering lately, it's a good thing that I have this journal to remember everything about the art. Drawn by Itasugen for an Angelic Headband and 8k. Finished four months after I ordered it, after I canceled the request, and after the Angelic Headbands went up by 30k. I'm a bit miffed about that, but it's a good picture. And it's supposed to be "Kealdrea," art didn't belong to someone named "Kealdra." @.@;


My first art auction and I won it by accident. XD I had forgotten I bid on it the next day. I won Rinzu-chan's art auction with my fairy wings (I quested for them and got them back.) She specialized in cat ears, so I thought purple cat ears would make a nice addition to my maid outfit (And they match with the socks! Finally! :'D)
I like it a lot. ^^

Drawn by KuroRan for one August '05 and 1000 gold. She offered 5000 gold, but instead I gave her the August '05 (7000, and going up.) and an extra 1000 gold. She isn't charging nearly enough for her art, in my opinion. I love this picture. ^^


Kya ha ha.~ XD Have I ever mentioned that I love Harry Potter, and hold a firm belief that Ravenclaw is the best house? Well this is my avatar, in a Ravenclaw uniform, drawn as a Powerpuff. The person who drew it, Jumping Jehosaphat, is also the creator of the popular-among-Potter-fans Live Journal, PotterPuffs. It cost 5000 gold. :3


I normally don't comission headshots, but Riin Viern's art was too cute to pass up! O: It was drawn for one Sealed Envelope. Very cute. ^^

Honestly, I'm torn. o.o I love SadistBoo's coloring (and art), and I love SeikoHarumasa's art, but I don't think they go together well. It's still a very pretty picture, but artists should have their own coloring style, so it comes out how they imagined it. But I still love it. XP

La Meep art again. O: This time I bought it as a comission though. XD I have Shiek's pose from Ocarina of Time when he's just about to turn into Zelda, with the Triforce of Wisdom. &3 Artist is La Meep. Cost was 500 gold.


Done completely on MSPaint, which I think is amazing. O.O It was drawn by AnnGry for 1000 gold. x.x For a second I thought I had completely lost the information about this picture, because I forgot to save this PM.


I love this drawing. =D The style is so much different from the normal anime, and it's drawn beautifully. It was drawn by Cendrillon for 4,000 gil gold. She only does one type of art, but I think it's very worth it. :3


@.@ This picture is really the only comission I look at and think "I payed THAT much for this? D:" Probably because it's the most expensive comission at 12,000 gold. It was drawn by ElvishSorceress. It's not that the picture itself was bad, I just don't think I should have payed that much for it.

I love this avatar art. It was drawn by Naomomo, and I think it was absolutely worth the 10,000 gold I spent on it. I requested that she draw my avatar with sad looking chibi eyes, and I think she pulled off that effect wonderfully.



Whee, the first comission I got since I started this journal, and I love it! =D In the order forum the artist put as an example for position: "Falling down, funny" and since I liked that idea, I kept it the same. I like the result. n.n

O.O My avatar as a doll. It's adorable. It was drawn by LenorreOfTheCrimsonRain, and I payed 2000 gold for it.




This is one of my favorite comissions I have ever recieved. When I was on my art-whoring spree, I came across a shop selling baby avatar art. I had wanted to get a picture with my real-life twin sister, Razara, in it and I thought Baby Avatar Art would be perfect. It turns out I was correct. ^.^ It's so cute how I'm pulling on Razara's tail, and Razara is pulling on my scarf. It was defenitly worth the 1800 gold I payed. (If you're going to order this art with only one avatar, minus 500 gold.) Drawn by Anachronism Girl.

This one is amazing, for more than one reason. Reason one, is it's very well drawn. Reason two is that my friend Robby agrees. o_o He always makes fun of Avatar Art I get, but he actually complimented this one. And reason three, is because I got it two or three hours after ordering it. O.o Drawn by kari-chan, for only three thousand gold.




Ah, yes, this one. Ippus has drawn several moderators, as well as myself. I'm lucky that I found her art when I did, because I only got this for 4,000 gold. A couple months later she was charging 10,000 for a sketch, 40,000 for the art I got, and 100,000 for water color. @_@ Ridiculous.




&333 I love this one. It's hanging up on my wall right now. The artist is Pqus (I don't think she still has a shop) and I payed 8000 gold for it. For a long time I didn't have a random signature, but just had this picture as my signature. I got so many PM's asking me who drew it, that I just stopped responding to PM's all together. -_- The name is Right On The Art. But it still is one of my favorites



I payed 800 gold for this one. The artist used to be [Scribbles], but they changed their name and either left Gaia, or switched accounts. I like it a lot.




Cat-chan stick figure art. :3 I don't remember how much I payed for it, but I think it's cute.

I finally updated and added comments to my journal, just because I wanted to comment on this one. XD; My friend Jace the Pharaoh Wizard was showing me art his friends drew and he showed me L-kun's art. My response was, and I quote, "OMGWTFBBQ, that is some spiffy art. O:" Short story even shorter, Jace asked L-kun if she could draw my avatar, and she said yes. =D I was very happy, and the avatar art turned out to be awesome. O.O heart Once I resize I'll put it in my signature or randosig. [/long comment]

La Meep fanart!~ La Meep is one of my favorite General Discussion regulars, but I didn't realize she had drawn it until months later. XD; I still really like this drawing, and it's in my random signature.


I don't remember who drew this. @.@ I know it was one the first Avatar Art I got, and I was wearing Peasant Clothes at the time. We were talking about stick art, and she drew my avatar. This is also in my random signature.

Alexandrea Zenne! The ED Painter! If any of you lurked Extended Discussion and saw her art, then you know how why I was happy to recieve art from her. She took topics, and illistrated her responses which were, more-than-often, hillarious. surprised She was made a Gaia Helper for Extended Discussion, along with the Iconolist. In my opinion, they both deserved to be made Gaia Helpers. n_n

For rants and such. =D Starting with this one:

I'm very disappointed. o.o I have recently been going in the Anime/Manga/Comics forum very frequently, and I used to think it was one of the only forums without I'm-intelligent-but-rude people, or flamers. Sadly, I was wrong. u.u I've seen someone insult someone's whole town, and pretty much flame everyone in every post I saw her make. And there are a couple other people I've seen flaming people, and generally being rude. @.@

The same is true for Life Issues. It's a forum where people are supposed to be HELPFUL, not flame the hell out of everyone they see. o.o And yet one user did just that. D: It saddens me. I thought there were still SOME forums without flamers. But even in Questions and Feedback, Computers and Technology, Requests and Comissions, there are rude people everywhere.

@.@; I don't know why I'm surprised by this. Gaia is such a huge forum there has to be some good and bad people.
