A while ago I downloaded Gimp, and I finally decided to learn how to use it sweatdrop . Talk about procrastination, lmao!
It all started while I was fecking about, trying to kill time til 3am. See my aunt got me into something called a "super poke pet" and 3am on Thursdays is when they put new stuff in the pet shop to buy, but I digress.
While fecking about on Gaia, I found someone with this cute little dragon in their sig so I clicked on it. Dragon adoptions, huh? Must be the new internet trend *shrugs*. I scrolled down to the bottom of the site and saw this button with 2 pokemon on it. So, with a lack of a better thing to do til 3am, I clicked on it to go this site about Lugia and Articuno. I saw a link on that site that interested me called "Ultimate Spriting Guide". Clicking on that led me to these tutorials on how to mess around with different sprites to create whatever your heart desires. Well. from there I learned how to make things transparent in Gimp and from then on I have been experimenting with my new found knowledge.
So far I have made 2 recolors of Raikou. Its about 5:38 am now, and I'm busy making a Hitsugaya avatar. Boy did I cuss that out til I figured out how to make what I wanted transparent. For some reason the trick only worked for the sprites, but told me to feck off for the avatar. Maybe I just did it wrong.
