Daisuki-Prologue (pm if u want more)
Prologue-

“Miki! God, Miki! Please don’t make me pull you out of bed on the fist day of school!” Miki grumbled and pulled her pillow over her head. Next thing she heard was her mother climbing the stairs to her room. She curled up into a ball and pulled the pillow tighter over her ears. Her mom knocked on the door and came in. “Come on, Miki, it’s the first day of school!” she said, pulling the covers off of her daughter.

“I don’t give a rat’s a** what day of school it is, mom,” Miki grumbled.

“Oh, is that so?” her mother said skeptically, hands on her hips.

“Yeah, it is. Now get out,” Miki said, slowly getting out of bed. Her mom hesitated. “Get out, mom.” She looked at Miki then sighed and left the room, shutting the door behind her.

“Hate the first day of school,” Miki grumbled and went over to her closet. She took out a plaid black and red mini skirt and a tight, black t-shirt. Then she put on some knee-high fish nets, a black studded belt, laced tightly around her waist, some necklaces, and bracelets.

“Shoes,” she mumbled. She bent down and started rummaging through the items that covered the floor of her closet. Finally she pulled out black vans and slipped them on her feet.

“Next is hair,” Miki told herself. She went over to her dresser, which had a mirror, and started raking a brush through her bleached tips, straight, brown, shoulder length hair. She sighed as she finished, examining herself in the mirror. She noted how her nose was crooked, from a punch in early elementary school by an easily angered boy. She also noted how her eyes should be green, instead of bright, baby blue. The green fits me better, she thought. But that doesn’t matter because they’re not and I can’t wear contacts. She had slight freckles and a tanned complexion, which fit her perfectly. Miki didn’t like the hassle of putting make-up on then taking it off, so she rarely did.

She looked down at her neck and took off all but one of her necklaces, a silver cross on a purple ribbon. She stroked it, whispering, “Hi, daddy. Miss you”

“Miki!” her mom called, startling Miki and making her jump. “15 minutes ‘till you have to get to the bus stop!” Miki didn’t have a car, on account of her turning 16 two weeks before, but she had a friend or two that had one, they just weren’t aloud to drive cars to school until the second week.

“Mm,” Miki called back, moving back over to her closet. She bent and started searching for her book-bag. “Ahh…come on! It’s gotta be here somewhere, goddammit!” She yelled; temper flaring, as she started throwing items all over her room.

“Miki!” her mom gasped, opening the door. “Your bag is where you put it last night, on the chair. But…jeez!” she said, looking around the room. “Such a big mess for so early in the morning!”

“Ah, yeah,” Miki said looking up, apparently calmed down. “Well, I’ll get an apple and leave.” She stood and looked around her room, grimacing. “I’ll clean it up later. See you!” She waved and ran down stairs before her mom could do or say anything more.

“Hey, Buttercup! Over here!” Miki sighed and walked down the isle of the bus to sit with the boy that had called her.

“Hey, Teddy,” she said sitting down and slipping her bag under the seat in front of her. “I thought that I told you never to call me “Buttercup” again…” she said turning her head slowly to glare at him.

“My dear flower,” he said, taking one of her hands, “Your forceful blue-eyed stares make my heart spin. Oh how I’ve missed you this summer!” Miki yanked her hand away, but smiled up at her friend. Teddy was always like this.

“Oh, and my dear Teddy, each day was a nightmare without you!” Teddy’s eyes twinkled with pleasure and laughter and he gave her a noogie.

“Missed you, too, Buttercup,” he said, sincerely enough to make her giggle slightly.

“We’ve all missed her, though, haven’t we? Don’t keep her all to yourself! She’s mine too!” Miki looked up at the speaker and her smile widened.

“Kat!” she said as the other girl sat down in the seat beside her and Teddy.

“Yes,” she said a devilish gleam in her eyes. She wrapped an arm around Miki and tugged her towards herself. “Now you’re mine!” she yelled making Miki laugh as she got another noogie.

As Kat backed off, Miki sighed and leanedforward, taking her schedule out of her back which they had gotten the week before. “Who’s your homeroom teacher this year, Teddy? I don’t like being alone.”

“Hey!” Kat gasped. “I was in your homeroom for four years! You saying I’m not good enough?”

Miki waved a hand in the air, swatting away the question and Teddy answered the question for her. “Being in a class with you is as good as being alone,” he explained. “All you do is take cat naps, my Kitten. And you’re no good to copy off of either.” He winked and she turned her head, grumbling to herself. “Well, Buttercup, back to the question, I have Mr. Flin.”

Miki sighed. “Damn, I have Mr. Drimnh. How ‘bout you, Miss Kitty?”

Kat turned and glared at her under her red-tipped bangs. “Why ask me? I’m as good as nothing apparently.” Miki laughed and Teddy let out an exasperated sigh. “I have d**k-Face again this year, crap-holes. Can’t believe she moved up with us.”

Miki laughed. d**k-Face was Kat’s nick-name for Mrs. Dewik, and every time she said it, it made Mike laugh. She raked her fingers through her hair. “Guess I really am alone this year,” she sighed as the bus stopped.

Everybody clamored to get off the bus and Teddy laughed, catching Miki as someone bumped her, making her trip. “My dear flower, having a fragile stem can never get you anywhere.”

“Well, damn you, if you think I’m fragile,” she said, glaring at him. Teddy just laughed, took her arm and pulled her off of the bus.

Miki slipped into the classroom just as the late bell rang. She raked her free hand through her hair and released the breath she had been holding. Being late to class on the first day, when you already knew the school, did not make a good impression.

She went over to an empty seat in the back of the room, near a window and sat down, shoving her bag under her desk. The students hadn’t gotten their locker assignments yet, but she rarely used her anyway.

Miki leaned back in her chair to see the rest of the class. She knew the faces, if not names of nearly everyone in her grade. There were no new faces in her homeroom, which made her grimace. This is not going to be interesting, she thought. No new faces means no new activity.

Just as she closed her eyes, the teacher came in, saying, “Good morning class!” No one responded. Miki opened one eye to see what held the class so quiet.
Behind the teacher was a boy, obviously about Miki’s age. He had his head bent down, his bangs hiding his eyes. His hair was long enough to be help back in a ponytail that was at the nape of his neck. He was wearing a plain black t-shirt and jeans, which pockets he had stuffed his hands into. His complexion looked flawless from where Miki sat, like half tanned porcelain. She could tell she was staring but she couldn’t help it he was just so beautiful.

Like an angel, she thought, just as the boy looked up and caught her blue eyes in his, perfect pure green ones, holding them tight.
