She spread her white wings and took to the sky, Soaring over valleys and mountains high. Laughing as the wind tousled her hair, Where she was going she hadn't a care. She landed on a hilltop high above, Graceful and pure as a little dove. Only then did her tears fall, gleaming in the half-light, For she knew that had been her last flight. She looked at her fingers; they were fading away, She could not last under the moon's rays. It was in her memory that I made this rhyme, The day she flew for the last time.

Hey guys I was surfing the web and I found a really interesting article on goths. Link- Gothic I hope this clears up some stuff. I think I'm gothic, or did for a while until my friends and family convinced me otherwise. But I think they were wrong. I now realise how stereotyped goths are. Hey, look at me, just because I like wearing black I'm a goth. And hey, I won't wear skirts above my knees, oh shoot I'm a goth. And geez, just cos I want black hair doesn't make me a goth. PWOPLW GOTHS ARE COOL AND FUNNY AND THEY DEFINATELY SMILE! LOOK AT ME! I'M THE CASS CLOWN!

Kirsten
Kirsten desperately pulled her trembling body onwards through the narrow tunnel. Sharp rocks jutted up from the rocky floor, tearing her black gown. Her black waist-length plait of hair caught and snagged on rocks hanging off the ceiling. Her emerald eyes were widened in fear as she tried to silence her roaring breath, her choking sobs. For she could hear it coming. She could hear its blood-curdling roars of pain and rage. In her mind’s eye, she could see the vast, misshapen body of the beast lurching forward. She could picture its red eyes piercing the gloom, its wings scraping the low ceiling and most of all, its deadly talons making marks in the rock as its paws were forced along the tiny space. Kirsten was shaking violently, blood pouring from her shoulders and knees. She stared ahead, hopelessly trying to see through the gloom. Then suddenly, she felt a jarring pain in her forehead and she blacked out. When she came to, piercing terror gripped her heart like an icy hand. She struggled, and kicked out. Then she groaned and ceased writhing as she realised she had blacked out when she had hit her head on an overhanging rock. Then, suddenly, her ears caught the sound of the beast’s stealthy movements behind her. Panicking again, she forced herself onwards, her blood seeping onto the rocky passage. Then, suddenly, miraculously, she glimpsed light ahead. Pulling herself along, she suddenly became aware of a stealthy trickling sound beside her ear. She swung around and saw grey sand flowing out of the rocks in a fine stream. Eyes widening in understanding, Kirsten hauled herself forward again and again, until finally she was blinking in the daylight. She had just swung her blood soaked body out of the mouth of the tunnel when a roaring sound erupted from it, and rocks crashed down. Amidst the crashing of falling rocks, the angry roars of the beast could be heard. Then, finally, silence. Kirsten ran and ran until the sun set beneath the horizon. She never stopped, never looked back, but jumped at shadows. At last, she stumbled upon a peaceful clearing. Kirsten let herself collapse on the soft, springy grass. She closed her eyes…
In her dream, Kirsten replayed the events she had just experienced. She saw herself, from the side, as she snuck stealthily into the beast’s lair. Her dream-self reached forward and grasped something from behind a column of rock. Just as she tucked the object into her gown, a roar was heard, and a great, hideous beast emerged from the shadows. It was shaped like a lion or cheetah, with great paws sprouting mighty talons. Jet-black wings rose from the lumpy deformed back. Ruby eyes gleamed in a face of lumps and warts. Blood dripped from jaws of terror. Kirsten’s dream-self screamed, and fled. She ran past a cavern full of treasure expanding to the walls and reaching halfway up to the ceiling. She continued on until she stumbled and fell on rock jutting up from the floor. She dropped her sword and in her haste to get up, left it there. She scrabbled around on the rocky floor from a terrifying moment, until she managed to regain her footing. By now her midnight black gown was shredded. But she paid it no heed, for she saw a hole in the cavern wall. She glanced back at her pursuer, and her heart nearly stopped when she saw how close the beast was. Wasting no further time, she calculated the width of the tunnel with her eyes, and leapt into it. As soon as she hit the rock she began to slide on the downward slope. Immediately, a sharp rock that jutted down from the ceiling struck her with shocking force. Blinking back tears and wiping her blood away with her gown she crawled on, screaming and gasping with pain.
Kirsten awoke to find the sun shining on her blissfully. She sat there basking in its warmth and safety, until she felt a cold object pressing against her chest. She moved her hand underneath a fold of her gown and pulled it out. Shining under the powerful golden rays of the sun, swinging gently from Kirsten’s slender fingers, was a blue diamond suspended from the V of a fine golden chain. Everything about the necklace looked precious. The blue diamond was as clear as glass, chipped and shining. The golden chain was delicate and thin. “Beautiful…” Kirsten murmured as staring deep into the sapphire depths. Quite suddenly, she became aware of a harsh sound that completely broke the spell that held her. She looked up, shaking her head. In an ancient, grand oak tree that stood proudly behind where Kirsten was sitting, there sat a bird. The bird’s magnificent feathers flashed every colour of the rainbow in turns. The sun reflected off its wide, wide eyes, eyes that seemed to be staring deep into Kirsten’s soul. Suddenly, Kirsten felt uncomfortable, and shifted her gaze.
How do you like it so far?
