Chapter four
I awoke to the smell of pancakes and syrup. Groggily I got up, stretched, yawned, and headed for the kitchen. “Mornin’ Auntie Morrg.” I noted the plain black, knee length skirt and tight blue t-shirt she wore. “Good Morning Morrganna.” She smiled brightly at me, and set the plate of pancakes on the table. Despite her cherry mood, we ate in silence. I put both our dishes in the dishwasher, then got dressed. I slipped into a black tube top, and a pair of jean Capri. I put my hair up into a high ponytail, and slipped on a pair of black platform sandals. “Auntie, I’m gone to get my report card. I should be back within an hour.” I told her. “All right, come home quick though with those two girls. I have something important to tell each of you.” “Alright.” I kissed her cheek, grabbed my keys and was out the door. Somewhere between, my house and Walter Murray Collegiate, I began to wonder why Morrigan would have reason to talk to all three of us. I parked in my spot, between Tori and Rika’s vehicles, and walked into the school. “MORGGANNA!” Tori screeched from the second floor hallway. I giggled. “How do you always know, when I’m here?” “She’s gatta be some sort of mythical creature in disguise.” Rika nodded her head to support her own statement, as Tori and herself made their way down stairs, already with their report cards and year books. “Come on babe, let’s go get yours.” I sighed, and let the two lead me to my homeroom. Science, yuck! I always hated Science. Except for chemistry, I was pretty good at that. “’Ello, Mrs. Nyris.” I said as Tori and Rika dragged me into the classroom. Mrs. Nyris raised an eyebrow in distaste, handed me my report card and yearbook, and then turned away. Tori, Rika, and I all looked confused as we were clearly dismissed. “Ouch. Harsh much? I know she hated me, and I hated her, but I expected at least a “Halleluiah she’s gone!” You know what I mean?” I reasoned as we walked the halls. “Yeah, I mean, this is the last time we’re going to walk these halls. Sit in these desks. I’m actually going to miss this place.” Rika sighed. “And I’m going to miss the seniors.” Tori frowns as two hotties from the football team walked by. I couldn’t tell if they were staring at her with longing…or staring down her shirt. Rika and I shake our heads and walk off. Tori runs to keep up with us. “So you two coming home with me? Aunt Morrigan really does want to get to know you.” “Sure. I like your aunt. It’s easy to see why you two were, are so close.” Rika smiled. “Yeah, your aunt is so nice.” Tori nodded. “Okay, so I’ll meet you guys at the house.” and we all ran in separate ways, to get to our cars. What I didn’t know was that quite a few people had over heard our conversation…
Pulling into the driveway, I saw the shadows of many people, through my front window. I walk into the house frowning, and see Aunt Morrigan in the middle of a giant candle circle. Around the candles were eleven people. Loudly I cleared my throat. “Excuse me, what’s going on here?” “Ah, my dear Morrganna.” Morrigan smiled. “These people are like us. They have a magic they wish to use.” Rika, and Tori shrugged. One girl stood up, and politely said. “My name is Brydian, Miss Draaca. Like many others here, I was told to find Aunt Morrigan.” The girl was cute, and young. Brydian had bright blue eyes, with short brown hair, containing streaks from every colour you could possibly think of. “Morrganna. I guess it’s time. Come sit beside me.” I remained standing. Auntie sighed. “Morrganna…I’m not alive, I’m only a spectral being, and I only have a short amount of time.” My legs gave out from under me. “Au-Auntie?!” My lip quivered. In their own shock, both Tori and Rika also fell. Auntie opened up a velvet bag and rolled out small balls, slightly bigger than marbles. “Everyone, one by one, you’ll each say your name, and pick up a random orb. If the orb glows it’s yours. If not, then return it and pick up another one, until you find your own.” She instructed. “Morrganna, why don’t you start?” “Uh...okay. I’m Morrganna Draaca.” I nodded to the group, and picked up a red orb with a black cauldron design. As soon as it came to rest in my palm, the orb glowed brightly. “Just as I thought. The Blood Witch is the power you posses” Morrigan said softly. “Who’s next?” “I’m Rika Cherry-Rose.” she picked up a purple orb with many different colours dotted on it. The ball glowed. “My name is Tori Blackwell.” Tor grabbed the green orb with a gold Celtic design. “Brydian Cormick!” she giggled and took hold of the light blue one with a feather on it. A man reached over. “Syrric Sinclair.” he took hold of the black orb with a dog’s head on it. On and on it went, all the orbs glowing on the first pick. “James St. James.” The shorter male picked up the grey orb with a fire pattern. “Midoriko Ryou.” she grabbed the dark blue orb with black and purple wings. “Sasha Felix.” went for the fiery coloured orb with black Chinese writing on it. “Tomo…Just Tomo..” She reached over and took the black orb with a wolfs head on it. “Spike.” He said, and swiped the red orb with a black dragon. “Miranda Lowe.” quietly she picked up a blue orb with the designs of a branch, fire, and air on it. “Rei Yamazaki.” gone, the black orb with the fire design. “Paine.” gone the brown orb with a green leaf. “Maldrid.” gone the sky blue orb with the black bow and arrow. “Llama. Don’t ask.” he grabbed the brown orb with a sliver lock pick. Looking slightly embarrassed. “Raine.” She gracefully took the last orb, a dark blue ball with emeralds on it. All the orbs glowed at our touch. “Very well then. Rika, you are the Sprite. Seductive and mischievous. Tori, you are the wise and ageless Elf. Brydian, you my sweet are the Griffin. Courageous and vengeful. Syrric. You must make sure your ego doesn’t get to large in the form of the Cerebrus. You are loyal, and fearsome. -“ All of them looked over their orbs.“-James, you are the Siberian Fire Gnome. You have a nasty nature, and the capability to run very, very fast. Midoriko, my dear you are the Dark Faerie. The Unseelie, malicious, and strongest by night. Sasha, you are the Chinese Dragon. Benevolent, and immortal. -”Slightly bored, this group began to toss their orbs in the air and catch it. “- Tomo, you are the Wolf Demon. Loyal to the pack, yet wary of all strangers. Spike. Spike, you are the Dragon. Dark and fathomless. But unlike the others, your powers must be earned and not given. Miranda, you are the Nymph. Lover of beauty, and guardian of nature. -” They held the orbs in reverence. “- Rei, dear Rei. You are the Fire Elemental. A creature with no compare in your control of flames. Paine, you possess the abilities of the Pixie. You are playful, and helpful, but will not take being pushed around. Maldrid, you are the Centaur. An ancient being, with ancient knowledge, and a cunning mind. Llama…Llama, you are the Kender…You like shiny things, and will do anything to get what you want…Raine you are the Wyvern. Strong and endurable, you wont let anyone get harmed while under your charge.” Morrigan tells us. “Auntie, what is the Blood Witch?” I asked softly “A woman with the ability to create anything from her own, her friends, or her enemies blood.” She whispers. “Auntie?” I ask worried. Morrigan’s body began to fade. “Auntie!” “Morrganna, you are the leader. Lead them…” She whispers, as her body disappears. We all took a moment of silence, and I knew, I would have no more dreams…no more memories of my late Aunt. “So what now?” Raine asks. Standing up, she was about 5’6”. Her blonde hair flowed freely about her shoulders, and her piercing green eyes, were a force of their own to be recon with. “Well, we’ve all said our names, how ‘bout we say a little about each other?” Brydian suggested. “I’ll go first.” James spoke up. “Have you all seen Gremlins 2?” pretty much all of us nodded. “Well, I’m as insane as the crazy evil Gremlin.” Everyone backed up slowly. “Wait! I’d never hurt anyone, unless they hurt me first.” James tries to coax us. “Well, I will hurt someone if they so much as tick me off.” Paine warned, while running her hand through her maroon shaggy pixie cut. “Now Paine, be nice. We’ve been dating for a few years, but it’s still hard for her to be social.” Maldrid shrugs. “I have one question.” Tori says shyly “What’s that?” Raine asks “What are we now?! I mean, I realize that we’re no longer pure human… So what the heck?” I just walked over to the window seat, and sat down. “I don’t know Tori. But even I’m afraid of what’s to come.” I whispered.

Chapter 3
I turned around slowly, and there before my eyes, stood my aunt! “Morr…Morrigan?” I ask slowly, tears starting to shimmer in my eyes. The woman nods lightly sending long stray strands of raven black hair to float over her shoulders. Crying I ran the few steps to wrap my arms around her waist, and buried my face in her shoulder. She gingerly laid one hand on the back of my head, and the other on my back. “Shh child, it will be okay. We’re together finally.” “Oh, Auntie Morrigan! Dia, I theab ye.” I tried to speak, but my voice was muffled in her shoulder. “I missed you to my little Morrganna.” “Awe, how sweet. I’d hate to break up the reunion but people are staring.” Tori said with no tact. “Aunt, do you have a car?” I asked softly. “No, but I wish to know who these ladies are.” She said with complete sincerity and wisdom in her voice. “These are my only friends.” “Hello, Madam Morrigan. I am Toriana Majesta Blackwell. But you can call me Tori.” she replied with her Prom Queen smile. “I’m Rika Terese Sakura.” She said almost in a whisper. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both, I am Aunt Morrigan. I do not care if we share no blood.” Rika gave a small silent laugh. “That’s a girl! Live life while your young.” and I laughed as Aunt Morrigan gave Rika an aside, while gesturing towards Tori. “But you never want to be that desperate to be happy.” Rika doubled over. “She’s not desperate. She’s just filthy rich.” “Are you making fun of me? I demand you stop!” Tori stomped her foot, like a 3 year old having a tantrum. Rika, Aunt Morrigan and I, all rolled our eyes. “Come on Aunt. I’ll give you a ride home.” I told her. “Rika, Tori, why don’t you come with us. I would love to know more about you.” Morrigan said honestly. “Okay.” Tori replied quickly, “We’ll meetcha at your place, okay Morrg.” “Okay, whatever.” I waved them off. “We should go then.” So I lead Morrigan to my GT and we were off. “Since when does a Draaca listen to Elvis?” “Since I first discovered Elvis Presley when I was 14.” I laughed. Morrigan slowly nodded her head. “Yes that’s about right…” “Whatcha mean auntie?” “You’re a true Draaca, meaning, your blood loves music, which most find awful. Your magic enables you to--” “Wait a sec. My “magic”?” “Hmm…In due time my dear. In due time.” I sighed, and stepped on the gas. As we neared my home, Morrigan sighed. “I expected better from you Morrganna.” “Auntie, I couldn’t move…this is where you first taught me herb lore. I also was the only one that didn’t fully believe that you were dead. And I figured that if you wanted to keep in contact with me, you would check here first.” Morrigan smiled her softest smile, and looked about as I pulled into the driveway, with Rika and Tori right behind me, parking on the street. “Aunt Morrigan, we should warn you about the puppies.” Tori brought up tacitly. “Oh dogs, the perfect companions. How many and what kind?” Morrigan asked earnestly. “There’s four in total Auntie. A West Highland Terrier, a Boston Terrier, an Irish Water Spaniel, and a Samoyed.” I replied, “I but I warn you, they are very good judges of character. If they feel the slightest discomfort, they wont hesitate to let us know.” I don’t know why I told my Aunt this. I guess, I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t day dreaming, and I wanted proof that my Aunt didn’t want to hurt me. Tori lead us into the house, and as soon as the door opened, all three dogs came bounding towards us. I laughed as, once again, Finnegan pinned me to the floor. “Hi to you too, Finnegan!” I said trying not to get his tongue in my mouth. Rika almost fell over laughing. “I’ll go get the guest room ready.” she says trying to sound serious. Auntie just stood their watching in contempment, and Tori was slightly embarrassed. Finally Finnegan let me up. “Auntie, this is Finnegan.” And just then the rest bounded towards us. Pointing to the dog, I called out each name. “Why don’t you go see to your room Auntie Morrigan?” She moved to the hallway, as Tori and Rika told me they’d see me tomorrow, and left. “What’s going on tomorrow dear?” Morrigan asked. “I have to go back to school to get my report card.” “Then you best be off to bed, I still have some purifying to do.” “You sure?” “Go on.” Morrigan shoed me towards my bedroom. “Good night darling.” “Sweet dreams Auntie.” I whispered as I closed my door and sighed, I felt peace.

Chapter two
I woke up at noon on Tuesday. I groaned, rolled over and tried to go back to sleep, until I saw something, I didn’t recognize. Taped to the full-length mirror was the most gorgeous choker I had ever seen. It appeared to be two parallel ropes of square cut rubies. I rubbed my eyes, and pushed back my green satin sheets to get a closer look. I kneeled in front of the mirror, and for the first time in ages, actually paid attention to how I looked. My light blue spaghetti strap nightie, that only covered to my mid-thigh, my dishevelled wavy hair, with slightly curled ends, my light peach-to- pale skin tone, even my leaf green eyes seemed strange and unfamiliar. What’s happening to me? I asked myself confused. I shook my head, and carefully took the tape off my mirror. I held the necklace for a few minutes, before I undid the clasp, and slid the choker around my neck. After fumbling for a moment, I finally get it done up. “Wow.” I murmur. “I’m pretty…” After that statement, I rummaged around my room, trying to find anything that Aunt Morrigan would approve of. Sighing I finally approve of, my little red, black, and forest green plaid skirt, with a simple black long sleeved, off shoulders top. The top had a spider web pattern that was nearly transparent. I giggled at the irony, of me trying to look like a modern Goth teen, when my aunt was actually called a “Witch”. I mused up my hair, to make it curly and dishevelled. After a quick line of black eyeliner, I slid on my black stiletto heels, making me grow from 5’5” to 5’7” in height. Digging through my jewellery, I found my black watch with a spider web pattern on the band, my dragon bracelet. I spent a second looking at the odd bracelet, with the dragons tail in its mouth as the clasp. I also slid on a pair of simple square cut ruby earrings. Looking in the mirror I gave a final inspection. “Nice.” I whispered, turned off the light and went to the kitchen. “Mornin’ Druidh.” I patted my West Highland white terrier. As I said that, my other 3 puppies came racing into the kitchen. I laughed. “Hey Jaw’s” I scratched behind the ears of my Boston terrier. “Love ya too, Finnegan.” I managed to say as my Irish Water Spaniel, pushed me to the ground, and started licking my face. “Help me Aille.” I begged my Samoyed, who sat there, cocking her head to the side as if to think about my request. I managed to get up without killing any of the dogs. Don’t get me wrong, I love my babies, but sometimes they get in the way. “Okay, sweeties I got to get going. Miranda’s here, and I’ll take you guys out later okay.” I hugged each one of my girls, then grabbed my keys and walked out the door. “Hello Morrg.” Miranda smiled. “Hey, when you’re with them today, can you see if anything’s wrong with Aille, she doesn’t seem as calm as usual.” “Sure.” Miranda agreed and walked into the house, as I stepped into my GT. I drove to a café and restaurant called Pandora’s Box. Rika, Tori and I claimed it for our usual get-together-spot, about 4 years ago, when we were lost and confused grade 9’s. I parked my GT in between Tori’s baby blue Mercedes, and Rika’s Ford F-150, locked the door and walked into Pandora’s Box. “Hello Draaca!” Louisa smiled. Louisa owns Pandora’s Box, and she has a weird habit of calling people by their last names. “Blackwell and Sakura are at your usual table already with their cappuccino’s. Would you like me to boil you some water, for your tea?” “Please and thank you Louisa!” I smiled at the woman, and walked to our corner booth. “Hey guys!” I said leaning over Rika’s booth backing. “Hey, we were beginning to think you’d forgotten.” Tori laughed as I made bunny ears with my fingers behind Rika’s head. “Me, forget my girls? Never.” I giggled as Rika swatted my hand away. I slid around the booth to sit beside Rika. “Here’s your tea Draaca.” Louisa set the teapot in front of me with a teacup. “Thank you.” I poured the Chamomile tea into the cup, and added 1 and ½ spoonfuls of sugar. Stirring it in, I motioned for Rika and Tori to lean in close. “What is it Morrg?” Tori whispered. “Guy’s, yesterday when I was listening to my answering machine, I heard the strangest thing, and you too are going to put me into an asylum for it.” “No we wont Morrganna.” Rika assured me. “Well, you guys remember who I was named for right?” I took a sip of tea. “Yeah, your Aunt Morrigan, who was named after the Celtic Raven goddess with the same name.” I nodded. “Well, I heard her voice on my machine.” I paused, and to my surprise Rika and Tori didn’t look accusing. “You guys believe me?” “Well duh! Your Morrganna Draaca! The girl with magic in her veins that couldn’t tell a lie to save her life!” Tori smiled. “Yeah, and remember all those years ago, when we actually did study and practice witch-craft. Every Tarot, palm or crystal ball reading you did came true. And since it was your Aunt to teach you the herbs and magic and everything, it makes sense that she’d be magical too.” Rika added. “But she’s been dead for 14 years!” I reasoned. “Not really.” Rika reasoned. “Think about it. What about you “mysterious” benefactor. It could’ve been your aunt.” “But why didn’t she show herself earlier. If she was my benefactor, she’s been hiding for 5 years! And dead for 9!” Tears started forming. “Oh hun, calm down. It’s going to be all right. What did Morrigan say?” Tori asked. I sniffed. “At 8 I’m to meet her at the W.D.M.” I whipped at my eyes. “Thank God for that museum. Now if only He really can keep Canada free…” “Shut up Priss.” Rika said annoyed. “Sorry.” Tori rolled her eyes. “Guys what am I going to do?” I asked them. “I have an idea.” Rika smiled. “We’ll go with you to the W.D.M. Except Priss and I will stay back a bit, so you and your aunt can have some privacy, but if you get into trouble, all you have to do is give us the signal and we’ll be down there for you.” “And who said I had any thing to do with this?” Rika and me stared at Tori. “Okay I get it. I’ll be there.” “Good.” Rika and I say synchronized. I finish my tea, and Rika and Tori finish their Cappuccino’s. We split the bill like always, and leave. As we climb into our own vehicles, I shout to them, “Don’t forget 8’oclock!” They both nod and go on their way. I start the GT and drive back home. As I walk into the house I get pushed down by Finnegan. “Hey, hun. I know you love me, but please get off me!” I laughed and got up. “I guess Miranda already left.” I shrugged. I looked at the clock. “Jeez, I still have 7 hours. You guys in the mood for a movie?” All four dogs ran to the couch, as I went to make popcorn. So I spent my afternoon watching Vlad with 4 dogs. I know, I need a life. Once my clock chimed 7, I got up to finish getting ready. I said good bye to my puppies, grabbed my keys, and before 7:05, I was already on the road. When I pulled into the Western Development Museum’s parking lot, I spotted Tori and Rika easily. They were waiting at the main entrance looking like the weirdest couple yet. Tori, as her rich background allows, was dressed in a new age, pink Roxy cropped tee, with a dark denim mini skirt and pink high-heels. While Rika stood there in black hikers, washed-out bell-bottom jeans, and a dark blue t-shirt that said in black, “I’m the one you’ll never forget.” I shook my head and laughed. “Aren’t we an odd group? A Goth, and Prep, and… I’m sorry Rika, I still can’t classify you.” “I’m a Jock.” she shrugged. “Okay, but we still make an odd team.” I lead the way inside the building. I paid for all of us to enter, and get candy cane sticks. Mine in Butter Rum, Tori’s is Strawberry, and Rika and her Peppermint. We wonder into Boomtown, where I go to see the old telegraph, while Rika and Tori go off to the school. I glance their way to make sure, they always have an eye on me, when I hear a voice from behind me. “My sweet Morrganna. You’re all grown up.”

Chapter one
As I sat in my desk, I saw that there was only 5 minutes left before the end of the final. Finally my fifth period final, English. Who can possibly fail a test on Greek mythology and poetry? My best friends, Rika Sakura, and Tori Blackwell were sitting beside me. They too have been done for the past half-hour. Mr. Gibbon was sitting at his desk, eyeing me impatiently, just as I had been doing to those that were scrambling to finish the exam. I gave him an innocent shrug. He didn’t fall for it. Then we all heard the most beautiful sound in the world. That annoying bell to signify the end of class! “Ms. Draaca, can I please see you for a moment?” Mr. Gibbon asked. “We’ll catch up with ya at Priss’ locker.” Rika said pushing up the short mauve spikes that made up her pixie-cut hair. “I’m not a priss! You Jock!” Tori came back, twisting her long blonde hair over her shoulder. “Okay, see you guys in a minute.” I walked back to Mr. Gibbon’s desk shaking my head at Rika and Tori’s childish behaviour. “You wanted to see me Mr. G.” Gibbon just raised an eyebrow and nodded. “ Ms. Draaca, have you ever considered a career in psychology?” “Actually yes. And past with flying colours.” Again his eyebrow rose. “Morrganna, have you any plans for your future? Every time I have a class discussion, you seem to drift off. I’ve been meaning to talk to you for a while, but I can’t pry you away from Ms. Blackwell, and Ms. Sakura.” I swallowed. “Well, I don’t really have any plans.” “Well then, phone this number. “ He gave me a business card. “And they’ll do something for you. Just tell them that Gibbon told you to.” “Ah, thank you?” I walked out of the classroom, looking the card over. All it said was, Fantasy Jobs, 784-2433. “Right.” I droned, flipped my cherry red hair off my shoulder, hiked my shoulder bag higher on my shoulder, and walked to Tori’s locker. Near the beginning of the year, both Rika and me lost the locks to our lockers. Thankfully nothing was stolen, but the school wouldn’t give us new locks, so Rika, Tori, and me shared one locker. Thankfully none of us has a lot of stuff to put into it, except me with my 2 extra textbooks. “Morg! We were beginning to think that Gibbon ate you!” Tori exclaimed as I neared. “No, only Priss was. I was beginning to think that you killed him, and you were trying to hide the body.” Rika grinned sardonically. I rolled my eyes, and grabbed my other textbooks and my backpack. “I still have some books to take back. I’ll see you guys tomorrow?” “Sure. At the Pandora‘s Box, like always.” “Okay.” I nod once. “I’ll see you guys there.” I start walking to the classroom that the school turned into textbook returns. I did the usual giving back the texts, with little to no hassle. But as I started to leave, one of the teachers stopped me. “Ms. Draaca, you forgot your book.” Mrs. Kin called. I turned around. “What book?” “This most amazing book on The Occult. The history of Witchcraft.” She held it out. It was a plain leather covered old-fashioned book. I frowned. “I don’t--” “No, it’s yours. See” Mrs. Kin opened the front cover, and there in my own writing was my name. “Uh, thank you?” I replied, taking the book and walking off. As I walked I looked over the book, confused. I walked out of Walter Murray Collegiate, and into the student parking lot, where my candy apple red, 2005 Mustang GT, was parked. I put the book on the passengers seat, and walked around to slide into the driver’s side. I started the car, and put down the roof, smiling as the warm sun beat down in my face. “I seriously need a tan.” I murmured to myself after catching my reflection in the rear-view mirror. I sighed and drove out of the parking lot. I put one of my many Elvis mix c.d.’s into the player, and sang, off key, to “Little Less Conversation” the remix version. At least no one can say that I have bad timing when singing, it’s the keys I have issues with. Stopped at a red light, I start dancing as the song changes to “Jail House Rock”. A group of 4 guys in a 1986 ½ mustang stopped beside me. A few of them started wolf whistling, while the last guy told them to knock it off. As the light turned green, I nodded to the last guy, who looked oddly familiar. The rest of the drive home, was uneventful, unless you find potholes galore interesting. I’ve lived in the same house since I was a child. When I turned 14, a strange influenza wiped out my entire family, except me. Right after everyone’s death, a mysterious benefactor came into my life. Through my lawyer, my benefactor tells me to take the 2 thousand a month; she gives me, and have some fun. She’s always insisting that I continue my education, but is happy when I go out and just have fun. I parked my mustang in the driveway, and made a mental note to power wash the driveway later. I grabbed my bag from the back seat, and picked up the book. I walked into the house, threw my stuff on the table and pressed the play button on my answering machine, and started to pour water into a kettle. The machine went through the normal messages. My Lawyer, the bank, telemarketers, Rika and Tori’s moms asking me if I need anything, (they’re always trying to take care of me, the sweet women). Then I heard a voice that made me drop the kettle. It was a voice I only hear in my dreams…my Aunt Morrigan! “Morrganna Draaca. If I didn’t know better I’d think you never left you childhood home.” I stood there shocked. “Now my dear, you knew that I wasn’t dead. Oh my little Morrganna. Please, I want to see you. I miss you dearly. Come to Western Development Museum, at 8 o’clock tomorrow. It will be nice to see you again my dear. Slane Ayd.” “Slane Ayd graih nauntee.” I whispered ’good bye beloved auntie’ in Gaelic. The only people in my family that knew Gaelic, was Aunt Morrigan and I. “8 o’clock.” I looked at the grandfather clock. Its face was decorated with planets, stars, suns, and moons. “I’ll be there Auntie…”

Prologue My first memory as a child was my Aunt Morrigan. 'The Witch', was what everyone else called her, but she was always good to me. Teaching me herbal medicines, and natural cures to many diseases or bacteria. My next memory was her funeral. My Aunt Morrigan, laying down in her favourite black velvet 'witch' dress, you know the long dresses with the bell sleeves, and low square-cut bodices. There was even her signature maroon silk scarf, tied about her waist. Aunt's face was painted beautifully, in a way she would have been pleased, high arching eyebrows, perfectly thin black eyelashes. Soft blue eye shadow with a shade of blush only a tone darker than her actual skin. Her nails her polished in a deep red, and rounded. The knee high slit in her dress showed off her mid-calf high black stiletto heels. I remember the tears of everyone, but myself. I also recall the way my family glared at me, when I dared to approach the rosewood coffin. I looked at my Aunts face, (more like stared) and then, her eye opened. One big beautiful blue eye. She winked at me, and then the eye closed. I knew she wasnt dead, but no one would believe me when I tried to tell them, so I quickly gave up. My parents, siblings, and I left as soon as they were lowering the casket. I asked my mother, "Do vampires, and zombies really exsist? Aunt Morrigan told me they do. Could Aunt Morrigan be one?" My mother looked horrified. "No!" she told me sternly. "Your Aunt, my sister, is not a nightmarish creature! She's dead!" My mother ran to her room in a fit of tears, and everyone glared at me. My 5-year-old mind couldnt concept why they all blamed and hated me for my aunt. Over the years, I've had repeated dreams about my aunt. In every one, she pushes the dirt away from her coffin as the sunsets. Once it does completely, she opens the lid and Morrigan stands up. Her waist length black hair was always silk soft, and raven black. Morrigan looks up to the moon, (in the dream it always changed to what moon there was outside the dream) and she'd whisper to the moon, "Bring my heir, my baby, my Morrganna to me, alive." Then she'd lie back down, her hair flowing about her shoulders and body, and the lid would slam shut as the dirt filled in. At that point I'd awaken and my day would begin.

Okay I had this dream last night, totaly creepy! But also really kwel. okay Facts!: arrow My older brother is named Ian, and he is dating a girl named Robbie. My mother is obbsessed with dragons. I have an older sister named Cara. I have 2 boston terriers, one named Meeko, the other Taboo...and in 3 yrs, my family is going to Scotland for vacation...
DREAM!
My family was staying in Scotland for a fmaily vacation. We had rented a cabin with strangely looked exactly like our house. I decided to go exploring around Loch Ness, and I end up finding a hidden cave. I go through the winding, twisting tunnels, until I find a group of rocks pilled on top of each other, almost like making a furnace, or stove. Inside the rocks are two eggs, each about the size of two milk crates pilled on top of each other. One of the eggs was colored blue, black, and purple. While the other was colored red, orange, and pink, but it was broken. The broken egg as cold and hallow, while the bruise colored one, was warm, almost hot to the touch. ( )Finding no evidence of a mother, I take the blue egg home..It's surprisingly light, no heavier than one empty milk crate. Mom, dad, Ian, Cara, and Robbie, are still exploring the nearby towns, so I take the egg into my room, and put the egg on my bed to keep it warm. Taboo barks frieghtendly at the egg, while Meeko hisses at Taboo, like she's telling Taboo to keep quiet. Meeko keeps this protectieve state of mind. Barking, growling, and hissing at any one that comes near my room, thats not me. 3 days later, I come into my room after supper, to find the egg cracked open, and my bedroom window open. I waited until everyone was asleep before me and Meeko sneaked out of the cabin. I wander towards Loch Ness, and I sit on a rock looking out towards the water. "Meeko, what do you think was in that egg?" I ask the dog. Then I hear something behind me. I turn and see a beatiful water crystal blue dragon, with huge aqua eyes. He's about the size of a full grown Bull Mastif male. His wings are in boomerang shapes.( ) Me being me, I walked cautiously towards the dragon, but he started walking towards the cabin, so I fallowed. Meeko walked in perfect sync beside him. I snuck him back into my room, and covered him with my blanket. He lay across my twin sized bed, his paws/claws, just hanging off the edge. Again Meeko became the protective mother. It was in this time that I learned about the dragon. Using telepathy he told me his name was Omal. I noticed that he had an earing in his left cartilge to match mine on my right. A few nights later, Ian and Robbie were going to tell mom that they we're going for a walk, when I ushered them into my room. I lifted the covers and showed them Omal. Robbie shrieked in horror, and my brother just ran. While telling Omal not to take their fear seriously, he snuggled up to my side, and I burried my head into his shoulder. His scales her soft and flexible, like a peice of human skin, but softer than silk. Omal encircled his tail around my leg. I fell asleep. I awoke to find Omal gone, and my family standing around my room, scared shitless (except my mom, she looked star-struck). They told me that there where no such things as dragons (except my mom, who's a firm believer in their exsistance) and to show them the dragon stuffed animal. I shook my head and lead them to Loch Ness, just in time to see Omal, come up. He thanked me for taking care of him, and for showing so much kindness. I hugged him one last time, and he nuzzled my cheek. Then Omal waded into the water and dissapeared beneath the murky depths.
