first, gently pull the door into the frame. (the way it isn't supposed to go)
then SLOWLY turn the knob or the handle and pull up. now, with the latch part of the door retracted, and the bottom of the door lifted off the ground, slowly push it open.

to close doors, it's the same, exept done in a backwards order.

!!) always wear socks because it muffles your footfall
@) avoid wearing jeans, stiff crinkly fabric, or full skirts*for girls*
#) take off anything that beeps, like a watch or a cellphone
