Did ya miss me?
So I'm back. I don't know how many of you actually realized it, but I've been away from the internet for the past three weeks. Where was I? I was in Indianapolis, Indiana, learning how to be a flight attendant. And guess what! I passed! I got my wings! I tell you, it was not easy. We started with a class of 36, and ended with about 24, if I recall correctly. I had a lot of fun, and met a lot of new people. Also, I will be moving again! Yes, I know. I just moved to New York. Why am I moving again? Because I didn't get based in New York. I got based in Columbus, Ohio. So look for me there. It'll be a grand time. I'll probably find a place and sign a lease between Wednesday and Saturday, and actually move in the two days I have off the week thereafter. This is all, of course, very tentative.

That's about all I have for now. See you at 37,000 Feet!

Farewell, Upper Midwest
My my my. Things certainly have been eventful lately. And things are definitly starting to look up a little. Here's a little bit of what's going down.

Last week I bought a van. It's pretty rad. And it got all my s**t out to New York without any major problems. Huzzah for that. Yes, that's right. All of my junk (and there is far too much of it) is now in New York. I have left the upper midwest for good. I don't know when I'll be back, but it won't be any time soon. Mark flew out to help me move. We had a really fun time driving halfway across the country. But dear God it was tiring. I kind of wish Mark had his license so he could've driven some. Oh well. In the end we made it safe, and we only got lost three times. Once in Illinois, once in Cleveland, Ohio, and once when we got into Long Island. The Illinois lost I blame on the mapquest directions, cause we took the route to avoid toll roads. That made it a little bit more confusing. But we eventually found our way again. Unfortunately, because of the time spent trying to find our way again we hit Chicago right during rush hour. Sucky. The Cleveland lost I blame on stupid Cleveland highways. It was freakin impossible to merge from one highway to the other, especially with the traffic like it was, plus I had a hard time changing lanes, because I couldn't see behind me or in my blind spots very well because the van was completely full to the top with stuff. So I missed my exit, and we got lost trying to find our way back. But Mark studied the maps and figured out where we were and where we needed to be, and we ended up in the right place. After that it was easy driving. I80 straight through Pennsylvania. Which was absolutly Beautiful. Hilly, and full of curves, but beautiful. There were lots of bridges and overlooks that were just breathtaking. I didn't see them very much because I was watching the road, paranoid that I'd hit something or someone. One day I'd like to go through that part of Pennsylvania again, only riding instead of driving. As for getting lost on Long Island, I'm still not sure how that happened. We thought we were on one highway, but then it turned out we wern't. But then we called Mark's dad, and he helped us find our way again. We made it home, took a shower, and slept like freakin logs. I never slept so soundly in my life.
And that was my lovely cross-country road trip. And now I can call New York my home. Hopefully. Unfortunately, I don't get to spend very much time here before I have to leave again. Sunday I have to fly to Indianapolis, Indiana for flight attendant training. Hooray! I got a job! Finally! I work for Republic Airways, specifically, Chautauqua Airlines. My training starts on Monday, and goes for three weeks. Unfortunately, I don't know what I'll have for internet access, if I even have any at all. So that's gonna suck a little bit. The training is really strict as far as timeliness and grades go, so wish me luck! I'm gonna need it. I'll find out where I'm based once I'm finished with my training. They have a base in New York at LaGuardia Airport, so I'm really really hoping to get based there. I would like to stay in New York. If not, I guess I'll just move again. And Mark will be coming with me anywhere I go, so whatever happens, I'll be happy.

Can't beat $5 for a kick a** concert
Oh my goodness these past couple days were absolutly awesome. Thursday morning I got up and drove to Fargo. I spent the day with my awesome cousin Jonn. I hadn't seen him in over a year, and we're really close, so it was awesome to get to spend some time with him again.
Super funness, this weekend happens to be the weekend of Fargo's annual RibFest. RibFest has concerts. The best part about this is, to get in and see these concerts, you only have to pay $5! Thursday was Kansas. I freakin love Kansas! So Jonn and his friend and I went to see Kansas. It was awesome. They totally rocked. They started out with some of their lesser known hits and a few new ones. Then they played "Point of Know Return", and the crowd went wild. They didn't play for very long, actually. Only about an hour. At the end of the concert they went off stage, and the crowd cheered for an encore, so they came back out and played "Dust in the Wind" and ended with "Carry On, Wayward Son". I stayed the night with them, and yesterday morning I came up to Grand Forks. My purpose for coming home this weekend was to buy a car. Mission Accomplished! I got me a 1999 Grand Caravan. Yes, I bought a van. It's pretty nice. I like it. And it only cost me about 4000!
Last night was holyshitsuperawesomefun. My parents and I went back down to Fargo for Ribfest again. My favorite band in the entire world was playing: Styx! Hell yes! I got to see Styx for $5!!! And ohmygod, they were SO freakin AWESOME!!! I can't decide if I had more fun seeing them this time, or the first time I saw them in 2000 at Rockin' the Hills. The crowd was *huge*. We got up pretty close, too! I got some good pictures. ^_^ And holy crap! They played damn near every one of my favorite songs! Or at least part of them. They did a huge medly of like 17 songs. I only wish they would've played some of their newer stuff. They didn't play anything from Cyclorama or Brave New World. They did, however, play two songs from Big Bang Theory, their newest album. I dunno if that really counts though, because everything on Big Bang Theory is a cover. They played "I Am the Walrus" (Beatles) and "I Don't Need No Doctor" (Ray Charles). Also, I wish there wouldn't have been so many taller people in front of me, but hey. It's a general admission concert. What are ya gonna do? I still had a kick a** time. <3Styx<3

Everyone posts song lyrics
In the light of the sun, is there anyone? Oh it has begun...
Oh dear you look so lost, eyes are red and tears are shed,
This world you must've crossed... you said...

You don't know me, you don't even care,
She said
You don't know me, you don't wear my chains...

Essential and appealed, carry all your thoughts across
An open field,
When flowers gaze at you... they're not the only ones who cry
When they see you
You said...

You don't know me, you don't even care,
She said
You don't know me, you don't wear my chains...

She said I think I'll go to Boston...
I think I'll start a new life,
I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name,
I'll get out of California, I'm tired of the weather,
I think I'll get a lover and fly em out to Spain...
I think I'll go to Boston,
I think that I'm just tired
I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind...
I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset,
I hear it's nice in the Summer, some snow would be nice...
Boston... where no one knows my name...

Thank You for Smoking
So I went to see the movie "Thank You for Smoking" with Lindsay this evening. You should all go see it. It's pretty damn funny. In retrospect, I wish I'd had the foresight to wear my "There are cooler ways to die" tshirt. Ah well. I didn't know beforehand what we were seeing, so it really doesn't matter. Anyway, satirical and highly amusing. Aaron Eckhart and William H. Macy both gave splendid performances. Rob Lowe, Adam Brody, and David Koechner were all absolutly hilarius. And I just found this out: David Koechner, who also appeared in "Out Cold" and "Anchorman", is also going to be in the much-anticipated "Snakes on a Plane"! EEE! Now *that* is one movie I can not wait to see! It has been so hyped up by the internet, that so many people are going to see it, and love it, for the sole reason that it is probably going to be a terribly stupid movie. Honestly, Snakes on a Plane? Samuel L. Jackson only signed on to do the film because of the title! They tried to change the name to "Flight 121", but SLJ was like "No. That's not gonna happen. We're keeping it S.o.a.P." I bet the film will flop, but it will still be such a cult hit, just because of the hype it's gotten from the net. They even added another 5 days of filming for new scenes, just because of the mass internet interest. (Scenes which, by the way, took the film from a PG13 rating to an R)

Anyway, that's it for tonight. Hope you all (um, one?) have enjoyed all these updates lately!

Cruisin!
Whee! Funness this evening! After work today I went to see if Lindsay wanted to hang out, and when I got to her place of work, she was just about to get off! So we hung out tonight. First we went to get food. We ate at Chipotle, which was fabulous, as usual. Then we went to K-Mart, just cause haha it's K-Mart, and K-Mart sucks. We wandered around there for awhile. We found some shoes we liked, and bought them. We also saw the most awesome t-shirt. It said "I <3 My Fans". Lindsay was gonna buy it, but we forgot to go back and get it.Oh well. After that we went to Payless, and bought *more* shoes. Oh my. After that we went to Target Greatland, and I bought Dinosaurs on dvd. I havn't seen that show since I was way young! I was so stoked to find it. ^_^
After that we drove around for awhile, then stopped at a McDonalds for sundaes. Then we drove around some more. It was awesome. Driving around with Lindsay is so much fun. We talk about so much stuff. We gotta do that more often.
Anyway, I gotta work at 8am *again* tomorrow, so I'm off to bed!

Gone
Gone. All of my pictures, all of my music. Gone. Just disappeared. No idea what happened. It's just gone.

If anyone still has any pictures I sent you, please send them to me via AIM or MSN Messenger. If you don't have either of my screen names, ask. Any/all music would also be appreciated.

Finals!
Well! I just got home not too long ago. Tonight was my final final. I was a little nervous, because I wasn't sure how prepared I was. But I did really good! I got...I think a 96. Pretty good. I could've done better tho. I made a few dumb mistakes, and some of the questions a lot of us got wrong. Overall, I'm happy with how I did. I finished considerably fast, too. Because I went home for the weekend so I could apply for my passport, and I left Grand Forks a little later than I should have. So I got to class about 10 minutes late. I still finished before a few other people in my class. Yay! So now I have my Travel Certificate.
It was really nice to go home tho, even if it was only for a day and a half. I hadn't been home since Christmas. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Meg, Meg's boyfriend's friend, and Mandy. Me and Meg hung out at Lucky's for awhile, then Bill and his friend...umm I forget her name...oops. Well they joined us for a little bit, then Bill left. After a little bit we realized we were talking more than playing pool, so we decided to head to the I29. Shortly thereafter Mandy joined us, and we stayed there till like 3am. Twas very much fun indeed.
