I decided to finally make anime reviews. I wanted to make them into videos but due to a combination of laziness and lack of time I can't. I'm hoping to make these episode by episode so each post will be edited as the series progresses or I progress through a series. Without further ado the first installment shall be Puella Magi Madoka Magika. There will be SPOILERS read at your own risk
So even before starting this series I'm wondering why the hell there are different titles "Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika" and "Puella Magi Madoka Magika" is it just because the creators wanted to sound cool? If so why not just use it in the title? But I'm digressing
Episode 1
So it starts off with this girl running through this crazy land (I haven't seen that before) and finally emerges to see another girl fighting in the post-apocalyptic world. Then she turns to talk with the 9001st Pokemon Trollbey who can apparently grant you a wish but then you have to become a magical girl. However, none of this matters because this is a dream. OR IS IT as our main character, Madoka, arrives at school with her friend Sayaka (voiced by Eri Kitamura who's been in a lot lately) she see's the same girl from her dream who warns her that if she is happy, not to change her life. Fat load of help this does as when she's out shopping Madoka experience thoughtspeak which turns out to be the 9001st pokemon and they meet the magical girl Mami who explains things with the help of Kyuubei. Oh yeah that girl from the dream is also a magical girl.
Though they say any couldn't they just wish the witches to be gone or something practical? Do the wishes have a "be careful what you wish for" clause? And why do mystical beings always go to underage kids to save the world, wouldn't someone who has fully developed their thought process be a better choice?
tl;dr: The show's premise middle school girls make a Geass contract with a Pokemon.
Episode 2

Quick Summary: Mami explains that magical girls fight witches and witches cause unexplained suicides and disappearences. So now we're going with Umineko minus an island. Also Mami uses flintlock rifles pretty awesome for a magical girl.
Episode 3

QS: Holy s**t this magical girl series just killed off a seemingly main character! And Trollbey's a douche (hence his nickname). He comes to dream!Madoka when she can't make an informed choice, when Mami was dying made her make the contract, and now almost did the same thing to Madoka and Sayaka.
Episode 4

QS: Trollbey does the same thing to Sayaka! in a moment of desperation he comes to her to make the deal. Does he get a sign-up bonus for how many he signs, like a magical girl recruiter!? Also epic reference to gaseous Chloramine and possible Hydrazine.... they really didn't make clear which one. Speaking of epic cult reference.... so cults are created by witches. that would explain Scientology at least.
Episode 5
QS: Trollbey strikes again! and we get more into how screwed up he is. To make a contract he has to cop a feel! So not only is he a douche but he's a perverted douche! Then they try to make Fuuko from Clannad be badass (I can't get passed that voice) moderately successful, but trollbey steals the show again by trying to make a "contract" with Madoka. You have to think he's orchestrating this whole thing! Then we get some information that may suggest once you die so does your wish, but that's speculation. Meanwhile the the transfer student breaks up the fight between Sayaka and Fuuko seemingly because he doesn't want Trollbey to "contract" with Madoka
