Last time: Angel met a girl who had some issues, and ended getting into a battle... Now the battle continues.
The chain was just inches from Angel's heart when she took a quick step backwards then sideways, causing the girl to stare in shock as she hit the ground with a loud thud and buried the tip of the chain into the ground.
"You shouldn't underestimate your opponent," Angel said calmly, her Angelblade in a non aggressive position.
"And you're a fool if you think I'm gonna be beaten by a freak like you," the girl spat as she pulled her chain free of the ground.
"What's your name?" Angel asked, her head tilted to the side and her ears perked.
"It's Serena, why?"
"I just like to know my opponents name."
Without warning Serena pulled out a demon bow and started firing at Angel. She easily doged them and moved in for an attack. Serena saw this and started firing again but Angel just doged or blocked the arrows with her blade. When she was close enough Angel gripped her weapon tightly with both hands and leaped high in the air.
"Heya!" Angel yelled as she brought her blade down towards Serena's head. Serena brought her bow up just in time to block the attack, but was knocked flat because of inexperience and Angel's greater strength.
"I told you not to underestimate your opponent," Angel said cooly, chin resting on her hands as she but the tip of her blade on the ground, "Maybe next time you'll be smart enough to fight someone closer to your skill level." And with that she turned and started to walk away.
"Don't turn you're back on me, I'm not done yet," Serena wheezed. She was starting to feel just how much that bow was starting to drain from her as she struggled to her feet and leaned on said bow for balance.
Angel stopped and turned her head. "I'll give you this much, you've got spirit, that's a good thing to have, but what you lack is the intelligence to know when you're beat," Angel thought for a second then added, "Why don't you come with me, I'll make some tea and we can talk. I'd like to know just why it is that you fight, you might just have the potential to learn some strong attacks that are a secret of the Foxlings." With that she grabbed Coryn's harness and started to walk away. Serena took a deep breath, summoned her cats-they had been hiding from Croyn during the battle-and silently followed Angel.
