Warning: The following my contain Spoilers for X-men III The Last Stand.
Synopsis:
The third installment of the popular X-men Trilogy finds Jean coming back from the dead, but here's the twist it's not Jean it's her second persona (and it's not very nice). The X-men must save Jean from herself, and keep Magneto et al from using her to there advantage. As all this is going on, a new mutant has been discovered with the power to "CURE" mutantism (if such a word exists). Now mutants must decide whether they will take the so called "cure", or remain mutants. And let's not forget, the original plot, the Misguided Mutants are still attacking non-mutants, and the X-men are still doing there best to protect non-mutants and mutants alike.
Comments:
The X-men really have there hands full, trying to protect non-mutants from mutants, and mutants from non-mutants. The movie is fast paced and full of action, not a dull moment from beginning to end. As far as sequels go, this one earned an A+ in my opinion, along with X-men II and the Original X-men. Sequels have a tendancy to lose the original plot, and go in different directions; however this one kept on going at full speed from movie 1 to movie 3. Unfortunately we lose alot of our favourite characters, but that gives it a greater sense of realism to the story (even though it's a fantasy/sci-fi). This movie leaves alot of room for yet another sequel, as is evident in the last scene where we see Magneto shake one of his pawns-as he's playing chess-without touching it (For those who have watched this movie, if you haven't seen the pawn shake, get the movie and watch that scene again, it's very faint but it does happen).
Personal Rating for this movie: 8/10 (although it's nearly a perfect movie, there could be some slight improvements here and there; but I loved this movie)
