Ginger is very good for the body's digestive tract and works well for nausea and motion sickness. It is very good for the immune system as well(gives it a boost) Ginger also kills ovarian cancer cells and can help aid in preventing certain other cancers. This also is helpful with inflamation (Swollen muscles, or swollen injuries)pains and arthritis pain.
4 cups of water
2 inch piece of fresh ginger root
Optional: honey and lemon
Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin slices. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the ginger. Cover and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea and add honey and lemon to taste. This tea may take some getting used to as it can be a little spicy.
****If you are trying to boost your immune system, ward off flus or ward off a cold, sweeteners are not recommended.
