Liar, Liar; A Draco Malfoy Story > Part 11 // Finale
I could hear Draco's cries for me to come back and Xiao's angry voice. When I got into the common room, I slumped to the ground by the fireplace and cried. I just couldn't stop.
"What's wrong?" Jennifer asked me, utterly shocked.
"I thought that Draco would be the one, Jen. I thought that he'd be the one who I would marry, have kids with. I wanted to live happily ever after with him. Just like in those fairytale books that we used to read when we were kids at home." I sobbed.
"Shh.. it'll all be alright, Amanda. It'll all be alright." Jennifer attempted to comfort me.
"I hope so. I really loved him. I really did."
About half an hour later, I heard the door swing open and there stood Draco. He looked as if he had been miserable. I looked away from him.
"Come on, Amanda. Please, just--" He started.
Jennifer cut him off. "Leave her alone, Draco. She doesn't want to speak to you right now."
They looked each other in the eye for a second before Draco sighed and went up to his dorm. The next day was incredibly difficult to deal with. I ended up skipping all of my classes. Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Luna even came to speak to me. I had Jennifer allow them in. When they were all out of the dorm, I took out a piece of parchment and a quill. I wrote:
"Draco Malfoy,
I don't know if you're reading this but I just wanted you to know that I still love you. I always will. If I don't make it through this, I'd appreciate it if you'd keep this letter a secret. Keep this close to you, because I may never be back, Draco. I'm sorry. Please forgive me for running away from you without giving you a chance to explain. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you go on with life.
Since the day that I met you in the restuarant, I knew I had found my true love. I'm not good at dealing with heartbreak, actually, this is the first. I shared my first kiss with you in the rain under the moonlight that day. Do you remember? You asked me out to play Quidditch with you. You didn't really want to play Quidditch, did you? I really thought that you would be the one, Draco. The one that I would marry, have children with and live a happy life with. I guess it just didn't work out that way. I also gave birth to a child, Draco. Her name is Aaralyn Marie Hayes or Malfoy. I call her Aar. Lynn works as well! She's your child too.. You may take care of her now. She's living with my mother and father, so please, I want you to keep her safe. Tell her our stories. When she's older. Let her know the truth about us. I don't want her to get hurt by our stories when she's too young to fully understand. Give her this letter, will you?
When you get this letter Aar, I want you to know grateful I am to have you as my daughter. I'm sorry I can't be there to see you grow up. Make me proud! Be strong.
Draco, tell my parents that I love them a lot. Let them know how much I care for them and I appreciate what they've done for me these past 16 years. Tell Jennifer that she's my best friend and I would've given anything for her.
She's Aaralyn's godmother, although she doesn't know that. Please tell her.
Tell Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Luna that they're some of the best friends that I've ever had. Tell Harry that I'm sorry for being such an a** around him. Tell Pansy that I hate her and will curse her for as long as my soul remains. A crazy thought but yes, it's true.
You can also take your place as the Slytherin team seeker again.
Promise me that you'll do this last thing for me.

I folded the paper, and magically made a black rose. I sent an owl to put it on Draco's bed. I knew that his window would be open. When the owl was out, I shut the window and lay flat on my bed. I was dressed in all black and had my wand pointed to my head.
"I love you, Draco." I whispered.
I closed my eyes, and felt a single tear come down my cheek.
"Avadra Kedavra."
Everything blanked out.
