"Matt": I plop my head down. "Yep, this is just great," I stated. I listen to the lesson, but take no notes. "Matthew!" the teacher yells. "I'm still with you, the answers is c," I pathetically state. "Correct, now sit up," he yelled. "Alright," I say as I lift my head.
maure love: I whisper to Shawn, "Hey lets take Matt home during lunch, he looks about to drop dead." Shawn replies with, "You are going to have to go alone with him, I have a science project to finish, sorry!" Great me and Matt alone in his house, or maybe even his room...okay that’s enough. "It’s okay Hun."
"Matt": The bell rings. I just remember that Stephanie is still at my house. I get up and fall over. "Whoa," I said, "the room is spinning."
maure love: "Matt!!" I run over to him. "Shawn run and get the nurse." I check his pulse and it’s a little to fast. "Matt? Can you hear me?" I hold up three fingers. "How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Matt": "I'm not blind, three, now let me be, I'll be okay, go to your next class, I'll take a cab home."
maure love: Why is he pushing me away? Is he mad at me for caring? "Are you sure? And I never said you were blind, it’s just a simple test to see some things about what’s wrong." I'm hurt so I get up and walk away, and I'm confused on top of that.
"Matt": I get up and start to walk home. I think back on what I said. It was unusually mean of me to act like that. I must be irritable. I take out my keys to open the door, the keys are blurred. Then I remember my door is broken. I pass out and fall through the door.
maure love: I decided to walk home for lunch today, I don't know why. I see Matt, why is he mad at me all the sudden. Then it happens, I see him fall. Crap! I drop my stuff on the ground, I'll get it later. I run up to him and see him lying there. What do I do?? Medical books don't help me here! I whip out my cell phone and call Shawn telling him to get his butt over here and help me. I check Matt's pulse, it's fine, thanks god. I see Shawn running close and yell for him. He picks up Matt and brings him inside. I tell him to check on Stephanie and I get a towel from under the sink and put cold water on it. I lay it on his forehead.
"Matt": I see nothing, but I hear voices. Something cold is placed on my head. I wake up and look around. "Why is everyone in my house?" I say, then I cough and sit up. "I gotta .. never mind, I'll do it later."
maure love: I'm sitting next to Matt when he wakes up. "Matt, are you okay? Lay back down. Stephanie is okay. I'm not sure why you passed out, you should see a doctor." I calmly say to him. Shawn comes out from checking on Stephanie, his hair is really messed up and is that a...no he wouldn't do anything with Stephanie while I'm right here would he?
"Matt": "I'll be fine," I state. I look over at Shawn. "What happened to you, your hair's as messed up as my head feels?"
maure love: "I....I just ran here and it got messed up on the way." He says. I can tell that he's lying through his teeth, I glare at him, I know. This ends today. "No, you need to listen to me Matt, that's what you said before and you passed out. I'm staying here tonight. There is nothing you can do to stop me." Wow that was forceful for me. Shawn can go and die, I'm mad at him now. "Shawn you can go back to school if you wan to." I say still angered by my thoughts of him cheating.
"Matt": By the way Shawn was acting, I know what he was doing too. I can't sleep here again. "Fine, you can stay, but I hope you and Stephanie get along, no one will be at her place for about a week, so she'll stay here. I need to fix that door ...," I say as I cough, "I need to fix that door today." "Shawn, come here," I said. I have something secret to tell you. He puts his ear by my head, I turn and whisper to him, "Think about what you're doing, don't think I don't know." He looks at me shocked. "Now leave, you need to get back to class."
maure love: I get up and follow Shawn out. I grab his arm. "DAMN IT SHAWN! What, am I not good enough for you?." I burst out in tears. "Do you think I wouldn't realize? We just started going out like 3 days ago. We're done, it's over. Get lost and don't ever speak to me again." I watch him leave without any apology, I sit down on the step just then realizing the door was wide open so Matt and Stephanie could probably hear me. I sit down on the steps to Matt's house and cry my eyes out. It's been a while since the last time I cried.
"Matt": I try to stand up, but I fall. I try again and manage to stand. I give Stephanie a cold stare. She starts to cry. I then stumble over to Maureen. "Are you going to be okay?"
maure love: "No..." I rub my eyes and my mascara goes all over them. "Matt, let me help you back so you can lay down, you shouldn't be up." I get up and help him to his feet. "Go back in Matt's room Stephanie before I totally punch you." I tell her with angry words.
"Matt": After hearing what you said, I push away from you and walk over to the couch myself. "Don't touch her," I say to you. Then I look at Stephanie, "She has every right to punch you, and I hope you know that!" I yell at Stephanie. "What did I get myself into. And I still need to fix that door."
maure love: I look at Matt, as if I would actually do such a thing! "Shut up Matt, she's hurt you and I, and as if I would actually waste my time getting into a fight with her." I say still angry, I try and calm down. "Sorry Matt, I didn't mean to say that." I think to myself about the door. "I'll have my dad fix the door." I try to change the subject.
"Matt": I started to feel better, but not perfect. "I'll just block it up for the night." And so I do, but now I don't know what to do about the too girls in my house.
maure love: I get out one of the extra sleeping bags in Matt's closet and lay it out next to the couch, I'm trying to stay as far away from Stephanie as possible. That stupid wench. I lay out my sleeping bag and go through his house searching for extra blankets, they're exactly were they used to be. I smile at this. "Matt? Do you need an extra blanket." I yell down the hall.
"Matt": "Yeah, that would be nice," I yell back. Then I go to check to see if Stephanie is ok, she may have hurt everyone, but she is still under my care. As I walk in I can tell she has been crying. "Will you be okay?" I ask her. She mumbles something I can't hear, so I approach the bedside. She attempts to kiss me, but I move back. She starts crying again. She obviously still has mixed feelings for me. "I know you're confused, just try go get some sleep and clear your head." I walk out of the room and lay on the couch.
maure love: "okay!!" I walk past Stephanie and hear her crying again, whatever. I bring Matt his blanket but he looks upset. "Is something wrong?" I'm still sad about Shawn but I try not to let that show.
"Matt": "I'm so confused, Maureen," I like Stephanie, but I don't have feelings for her anymore, yet I have feeling for Maureen, but I don't know how she feels about Shawn.
maure love: "Wanna talk about it?" I ask, I wonder if he'll actually tell me.
"Matt": "Well, I have feelings for you, and not for Stephanie, not any more. Yet, I can't leave her in her state, both physical and mental," I tell you, "I don't know what to do."
maure love: "This maybe a bad idea on my part but, do you want me to talk to her, I promise I wont sock her one." I say jokily, this totally goes against my better judgment.
"Matt": "If you think you can, and she might try to hit you, so be careful, though I don't think she will," I reply, "I can't talk to her right now, you can try if you want."
maure love: "I'll try for you." I glance his way with a little smile, it’s all I can do. I get up and pray that I don't kill her. "Stephanie?" great she's still crying. "Listen to me. I'm sorry I said I was going to punch you and stuff. Matt didn't want you to be left in this state, I'm only here on his behalf. You might still have feelings for him, but he does still have some for you." I take a breath, "Those feelings may be different from the ones you have for him. Just back off him a little." Then she stops crying and looks up at me. "You don't know anything Maureen, not a thing. Your stupid and insolent." That's it I yell at the top of my lungs. "AH!! HOW DARE YOU!!" I get up and storm out of the room. "I'm going for a freaking walk, I’ll be back whenever." With that I storm out the door.
"Matt": I run after you and pick you up, throw you over my shoulders and bring you back in. "Its late, you should be out by yourself."
maure love: "Let me go Matt!! Let me GO!!" I sound like a three year old. "I'm not a little girl anymore!" I'm so mad it seems as if the air around me is simmering.
"Matt": "You can't go out this time of ...," I started to say, but your kicking around landed one in the center of my back and I fall. I start to cough again.
maure love: "Matt? Oh my god!! I'm so sorry!!" I hold him upright and pat his back. "Matt I'm so sorry! I'm sorry!" I rest him against the couch and get some water for him.
"Matt": I start to cough more and more, to the point it hurts.
maure love: "Stephanie get out here!" I yell for her. "Call 911." I hold Matt close to me and rub his back, I read in a medical book that this may help with the respiratory track.
"Matt": I cough up a little blood. And wipe it away quickly. "This..*cough*...isn't your...*cough cough*...fault."
maure love: "Call 911 now!" She isn't moving. "Matt, stay calm." I whip out my cell and call 911, they should be here soon. I saw the blood dripping from his mouth. "Stephanie do something, get me a towel." I keep patting and rubbing his back, nothing is working.
"Matt": I stop coughing, but only because I've passed out.
maure love: "STEPHANIE!!" I bring Matt up onto the couch at an angle and get the towel that she never got and wipe the blood from his mouth and put the towel on his head. Where is she? I hear something from the bathroom, great, she's throwing up. I check on her really quickly but Matt needs the attention first. I'm not sure what to do so I check his pulse, it's irregular. I start doing CPR and checking his pulse.
"Matt": I start to cough again, no blood though. "Hold on," I say weakly, I get up and run into the bathroom. I tear through the medicines and take out a bottle of pills, I swallow it, and stop coughing, but I fall down. I look over and see Stephanie, she looks terrified. "Sorry," I tell her as I crawl out of the bathroom.
maure love: I see Matt crawling out of the bathroom. The medics have arrived and asking me what happened, I want them to take Stephanie too. I know Matt hates the hospital but I wish he told me about this before. The paramedics take Matt and Stephanie to the hospital and I'm along for the ride sitting by Matt.
"Matt": I look over at Maureen. I know she's only looking out for me, but ... I guess it’s okay this time. "You know I'll be fine, I probably me jumping around tomorrow in school too." I laugh. Then cough, but only a small, quiet cough. "Why was Stephanie in the bathroom?"
maure love: "Some how I doubt that Matt." I'm still worried and I'm about to fall over from today's stress. "I think you scared her so much she threw up. She's coming to the hospital too so we don't have to worry."
"Matt": "What ... okay, listen. I need to talk to her sometime soon to comfort her and maintain friend status. So don't get the wrong idea when you see us talking, I'm not going to let her get close, not again." I still like Stephanie, its not love though. We just knew each other so long; it will be impossible to forget.
maure love: "I know, I wouldn't get the wrong idea from just talking." I smile a little. We soon arrive at the hospital and matt and Stephanie are taken in. Now, where does that leave me? I guess I'll stay by Matt; I should ask and see if that's okay with him.
"Matt": "Well, ... Stephanie and I will probably hug," I began, "but there will be absolutely no kissing." Then I realize how late it is. Maureen was going to stay at my place for the night. "So, where are you going to go, it’s a little to late to go back to your house."
maure love: "I'm not sure." I start to really feel the impact of the day, I feel a little woozy too. The paramedic sees this and asks me to go home. "Well, I guess that answered your question, I'd really like to stay here and keep and eye on you two." I laugh a little and then have to hold on to the wall for support.
"Matt": "You should stay here," I tell Maureen. To be honest, I don't think she'll make it home in one piece. I look over to the other bed. "Nurse," I yell as she comes running in, "is it okay if this lady uses that bed over their tonight?" "I don't see why not," she states.
maure love: "Thank you." I say to Matt and the nurse. "Are you sure you don't mind sharing a room with me?"
"Matt": "Not at all, we were going to sleep in the same room tonight anyway," I say with a laugh. "Plus, you don't look so good, I'm a little worried, at least I can keep an eye on you now."
maure love: I laugh at this and walk over to the bed. I flop down on it "Night.." everything goes black.
