Ohhhh kaayyy, here's my story.
Around 10:30-45 on Wednesday night, I started feeling some stomach pains. At first, it wasn't much and I just thought it was some more indigestion like I had recently had. I go downstairs to ask my dad where the antacid/PepsidAC (or whatever medicine I taken for the indigestion) was. He had just found it, when my pain started getting "shockingly" bad; the best way to describe it right now would be to say I was experience gastrointestinal pain like noone has ever felt before. I began to start moaning, my dad tells me to try and pass some gas, he and I both thinking that it just might be some very bad gas. As I start trying to do that, the pain gets unbearable; I headed to the bathroom and threw up and the pain just grew worse a few minutes later (after a bit of relief from the vomiting). At this point I began yelling/screaming in pain and rolling on the floor moaning. I demanded (yeah, my attitude was not the kindest) to be taken to the hospital and my parents almost called the ambulance. In the process of deciding, the pain decreased to a point that I could stand it without too much yelling (I was still running/rolling around), so my parents decided to take me to the ER. Once at the hospital, I was able to concentrate extremely hard and prevent myself from too much moaning; even then I still found myself on the floor once or twice in the waiting room. I was taken in and put into a room; the nurse and the doctor both worried about me possibly having appendicitus so I was very quickly given a CATSCAN. Then soon following the CATSCAN the pain had decreased (say on a scale of 1-10...it was now a 4 instead of the 9 it was in the waiting room. I could describe the pain I had at my house as being a 12 on the same scale.). This was a good sign. I still had quite a bit of pain though so the tests proceeded as they would have normally. The nurse came back and took about 10 blood samples (what really sucks is that she missed the artery/vein the first time she stuck the needle, so she had to redo it >< wink ; after that, she hooked up an IV and gave me some painkiller and anti-nausea medicine as well. After about an hour, the IV had finished draining, and all that was left to do was wait for the results of the tests. Noone came in to take the IV out for forever, we waited for at least an hour and a half (more than likely it was longer than that, I had fallen asleep for a while) before the tests had all come back. The doctor eventually came in and told me that the CATSCAN looked fine and the blood tests came back "great." After that I waited for a few minutes and another doctor came in and took the IV out and pointed us in the direction of the checkout desk. I got home around 2:30 in the morning, took a shower (I smelled...very bad), and went to bed around 3.
That's as accurate as I think I can be. We really didn't get an actual diagnosis, but the doctor conjected that it was most likely a stomach virus that had caused severe cramps (not like cramps you get from running, these, if they were cramps, were definitely much, much worse).
The rest of my Thursday was spent with nausea and other basic stomach virus symptoms. After seeing Courtney and dropping her off, I tried to go to chem lab but felt sick and threw up the only thing I had injested that day (sprite).
Apologies to anyone who was worried about me, especially Courtney (I love you :] ),
Yours truly,
Bryan.
