Buying NyQuill
I am sick. Last night we couldn't find the last two tablets of NyQuill for me. So today on the way home from school, we stopped off at Walgreens. My mutti didn't feel like going inside so I went in and picked up some ColdEez losenges and some NyQuill soft gel tablets. When I got to the cash register the cahsier wouldn't let me buy the NyQuill without an ID that said I was 18. Of course, I had already told her that I was 17 when she asked my age but I stil thought that was funny. 18. You have to be 18 years old to buy some stupid Nyquill tablets to help yourself get through a stinkin' cold. What if I lived with my 76 year-old grandmother who couldn't leave her bed, her cold was so bad, and the only thing that could help her sleep was NyQuill? My poor grandmother would have to suffer through her cold until I could find some nice soul (who was 18 or older, mind you) who would buy the NyQuill for her. Wow. I know people can get high off of cold medicine, but dang I was buying another cold relieving item, and I had the nasally cold voice to help back up my claim. *Sigh* I guess it's just one more thing I can look forward to when I'm 18.
