Chapter 7

The old man looked at Norm. "Hello. Tonight's the night. I can feel it."

"You need to shush...I am tired of you...messing with my f-f-f-friend...you scared the s**t out of him.."

"Fear is a good thing. It heightens the senses. Alcohol, on the other hand, is a horrible thing, and should never be consumed."

"What...ever. I don't need you to preach to me...c'mon, let's go! Right now!" said Norm, putting up his fists.

The old man smiled. "I have no need to fight you. Fighting is childish and proves nothing."

"Scared, eh? Well, how do you feel about this?" he asked, pulling out a knife.

"You think killing me will prove anything? Go ahead, I want to die."

Norm smiled and stumbled to the old man.

"Do it." The man said.

Little did he know, that's exactly what Norm was about to do. Norm lifted the knife, and slashed at the man's face. He cut him, but he was not dead. Norm attempted to slice his throat, but was unable to. He lunged at him, stabbing the man's stomach.

The man dropped to his knees. His eyes wide withfear and pain. Norm stabbed him again in the back. The man fell dead, but Norm wasn't done.

He kept stabbing and stabbing. Non-stop. Eventually, he decided enough was enough.

Norm took the body through the back entrance of the hotel. He threw the body in an empty room and dropped the knife.

He went into the bathroom and washed the blood off of his face and hands. He headed down the hall trying to think of a way to get the police to not think it was him.

He then spotted Jack, asleep at his desk. Norm smiled and walked over to Jack.


Chapter 8

Norm carried Jack to the room where he dropped the man's body off. He layed Jack on the bed and placed the dagger in his hand. He walked over to the body and rubbed blood on his hands, and wiped it on Jack.

To celebate, he went to the mini bar and drank. He kept drinking and drinking untill eventully, he passed out.

Five minutes later, Officer Leeroy walked into the hotel, looking for Jack. he wanted to ask him if he'd seen the old man again.

Jack woke up, and felt something in his hand. He raised it up and gasped. 'Where did this come from? Where am I?' He looked around and realized he was in a room at the hotel. He also noticed the dead body in the floor. He looked at the face and the way he was dressed and knew exactly who it was. What he failed to see was Norm passed out in the corner.

"Jack Ferguson! This is Officer Leeroy! Come out, wherever you are! I have a few questions for you!"

'He knows! He knows I've killed him! But...when did I do it? Why? I must get out of this room!'

He sprinted down the hall, leaving the door to the room wide open. He ran and jumped into a broom closet to think.

Officer Leeroy walked into the hall, and noticed the open door. When he walked in, he saw Norm in the corner and the old man laying dead in the floor.

He went to Norm and woke him. "Who did this? Who killed this man?"

Norm laughed. "It was me! I did it! He was screwing with my friend's head, so I decided to end it."

"Hmm...ok." He radiod in for back-up. Him and two other officers went to look for Jack, while two others took Norm into custody.

Officers Leeroy, Jenkins, and Smith busted down every door in the hall looking for Jack. When they found him, they were stunned. He had a note in his hand and a knife in his heart.

Leeroy read the note and said, "Poor old chap. He's gone and killed himself over a murder he didn't commit."
