KAGE'S SIMPLE GUIDE TO GAIA HOUSING

YOU DO NOT BUY HOUSES IN TOWNS. YOU BUY HOUSES AT THE HOUSING COMMISSION. YOU BUILD HOUSES IN TOWNS.

HOW TO GET A HOUSE
1. go to the Housing Commission:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/store.php?id=102d642
(>world map >aekea >housing commission)
2. buy home (cost: 0g) [click where it says "homes, get your home here" after you do this, you have bought a house and you can edit it]
3. buy permit (cost: 0g)
you can only buy one of each. if you already have one, you will get an error message if you try to buy it again.
expanding cost 5k
remodeling costs 1k

HOW TO EDIT YOUR HOUSE
if the inventory arranger is down, you can't edit your house.
>my gaia >my stuff >arrange inventory
1. open suitcase
2. drag and drop housing items into suitcase
3. save changes
4. click "arrange my home"
buy housing items at The Faktori.
additional rare items can be found in the marketplace. TekTek's Housing Item List.

lights can be turned on and off. go to the housing editor, and while in view mode click on the lights. save the changes when done.

HOW TO PLACE YOUR HOUSE IN TOWNS

1. launch towns
2. click directory
3. click the green "find a place for your home" button
4. look for a square with a number (that means it has vacancies)
5. click that square
6. click the brown sign and choose "enter town"
* DO NOT TRY TO ENTER A VACANT HOUSE. YOU CAN'T ENTER A HOUSE THAT DOESN'T EXIST.
7. go to the WHITE SIGN THAT SAYS VACANCY where the house would be
8. click the white sign to build

no sign? the plot is probably reserved or glitched

to get to it in towns:
1. launch towns
2. click directory
3. click the big yellow "my home" button in the upper right corner
