To all men inquiring about TTR.
Dear men who wish to do the following:
You must read this entire letter before even considering pm'ing the crew.
Q & A is in the first comment of this journal entry
arrow Flame.
arrow Troll.
arrow Yell/put down.
arrow 'Pick a bone with us'.
arrow Discuss Discrimination/sexism of our guild.
arrow Want to cause harm etc.

Taste the Rainbow was created by a now dead captain, she created the guild as a sanctuary for women who have been:

exclaim Raped.
exclaim Abused (harassment)
exclaim Judged.
exclaim Hurt.
exclaim Need confidence in a woman.
exclaim Are uncomfortable around men.
exclaim Want to be around another woman for a short while.

All of our girls have joined for their own personal reasons, some yes, hate men to the core, others, are pure lesbian and just enjoy a woman's company more than a mans.
Others have joined just for some peace outside of the real world, male friends.

Our guild was not designed to brew hate, malice and anger towards men.
There are girls who have almost all male friends, "fruit flies" or otherwise quite comfortable with men.
TTR is a place to just push away from the normal, just to meet with one another on "girl on girl terms".

This isn't a shot at your p***s, advice skills, mental outlook or stereo-types.
It's the fact that women just want to be around each other, and some girls in real life are deprived of such convince for one life issue or another and find a haven within TTR.

There are countless guilds for all men, gay-bi-les-confused-unsure.
We are just another option out of that mix to offer just women some time away from their real lives, real troubles and to be comforted by someone of the same gender.

We are not trying to start war against ever male on GAIA or the real world.
You have to take into consideration that some girls escape to our virtual sanctuary because they feel this is the only time they take off their masks and feel they are in a comfortable environment.
(not saying that men and women cannot be in a comfortable environment together)
But that we are an option - not "every girl come here and hate men" but a simple choice for girls to just focus on one thing - other women.

We offer help, support, friendship, love, peace etc. just like any other guild, just because we offer it to girls does not mean we hate men it just means we want to focus on one group - women.

If you feel you get along with women more than men that is your life path and there are guilds here on Gaia to help you and conform to your needs.
In this profile I give several links to go to - to experience all men guilds, different sexualities guilds and more.

Just because TTR does not accept men does not mean all of GGN is women only.

Yes, this is discriminatory, but not against the ToS.
We are catering to one specific group, women. Lesbian, bisexual, unsure women.
However, we are not sexist here is the definition of sexism: dictionary.com:Sexism
Not all of us inside the guild believe in the stereo-types or traditional role of men, still, I can not speak for 1,000+ girls since I have not walked in all of their shoes.

We are not devastating, plaguing, ruining, taking away from or other wise harming anyone, we are simply here to help women, if you are going to attack us then attack the feminism parades, lesbians for only loving women, support groups for victims (women support only), women only wanting girls who are friends, all men guilds, all men protection services, all men support groups.

This isn't about hating though, because we separate men out of our guild does not mean we want war, or trying to break up a balance in life of men and women, we believe each man and each women are equal in their own ways, and we are no different from a male only group - nor do we pass judgment or spite, in fact I've had all men guild captains ask to affiliate because we understand each other, we have peace in our hearts for one another, it's not about separating out of a negative emotion it's just time away from real life, just a girl spending a few hours each day inside a guild for women.

You cannot get angry at any girl inside of our guild for wanting a few hours to be with just girls, she may talk to a man in real life, virtually etc. and tell him the same thing she will tell girls - but that is her choice; her free will to make.

TTR was built for girls to escape the their realistic world and to dive into a world simply for women, simply for herself, every girl joins for her own reasons, her own needs whatever they may be, you as an individual have to respect that, put yourself in a situation where you trust only your guy friends or only that special someone regardless of gender for a moment, you would want the general public to respect it, because it is your reason, your choice to tell whom you wish whatever you want to.

Obviously TTR is needed on GAIA for the fact since 2005 over 1,000 girls to date have joined.
1,000 individuals, spirits, girls, choices.
1,000 girls would not have joined if they didn't feel that TTR meant something to them in it's own way.
Those girls choose TTR for a reason, they choose an all girls guild for a reason, no matter how stupid, small or pathetic their reason/choice is to you it is their's and that in it's self deserves respect, whether you are ready to face up that or not.

But girls from 12-30+ feel this guild is their home, their escape from whatever it may be.
And TTR gives it to them and every once in a while, someone deserves something, regardless of your opinion on it.

However, I am not God, I cannot use my God-like power to see through every computer screen and see if it is a true female.
I must trust my gut, put down reasonable restrictions and try my best as captain to not let men join.
If they mask their identity well I cannot do anything but hope they will decide not to join or leave.
Plus, for the men who do - do that are just confused teenagers needing a joke to light up their meaningless waste of life.
Harsh to say, but honestly, what's the point?
To make the raped feel re-raped, the trust issue girls break trust once more all just to give them a few moments glee?

I am sure their most used statement is: " I have no heart, who the ******** cares if I hurt you, I am too dead to care."
See... they are that transparent and I haven't even met them yet.
I am sure I could write out their life story too without confronting them.

None the less, this is Taste the Rainbow, we are sanctuary for women only.
You, your friends, mules, family or others will not change what TTR is - a guild for lesbian/bisexual women.
Your words will fall upon deaf ears - if you still feel the need to private message the crew refrain, we will not change, we will not generally care about your outlook on this guild, you will waste your time and energy just to have your pm thrown in the delete bin and this letter sent to you as an automated response.

Harassers will be reported,
Random pm'ers will be sent this letter,
Curious passer-bys will read it.

So excuse any spelling mistakes and for the longness of this letter, but it is indeed late right now (1:14 am) and I must do other things before the sun greets the morning.

Good morning,
- Mistress Rii. (Your guild captain)

Hi!

For the start, I fully support the guild. I totally understand the need for it and wish you all the best with it. I've been around similar groups, but that's not the topic here. I don't want to make it long because I am sure you receive quite a lot of PMs because of the guild. All the best to all your members.

Only, one thing strikes me a bit in the letter: It uses the word gender at some small places. To me this is a bit of a disturbing problem because well, my gender is female, but my sex isn't. (You might want to read Mermaids in my journal for further extend.) I'm trying to get that adjusted, and hopefully I will really make it happen in the end, but currently they differ. That is, my body speaks a different language than my soul.

I really wish you no harm, and I quite sure how you mean it, but still, using the word gender in the letter is a very sensitive thing and might put off people like me. I know you by no means want that and I don't take it offending, but please be aware of that problem.

Feel free to quote this to other members of your crew, of discuss my poem in the guild - after all I've put it up publically.

Wish you all the best, to all of you.
Rhonda [for future chosen name]
