It's really late to put up a journal entry but I found it important to log my feelings and experiences for finals.......anyways......

Today is my first of the last day in my American Lit class with Mrs. Gala. She is such a nice teacher. I really enjoyed the time in her class, even though I gone through depression periods in her class. But I go through depression periods in almost every class. So tomorrow will be my last day with her. Our finals was an essay on The Great Gatsby about characters that corrupt the American Dream and I choose George Wilson to represent the corruption and the falling of the American Dream.

I had my last days of ROP Video Productions with Mr. Erik Terry and Life Science with Mr. Tim Jacobs. Although I have another ROP VP class next semester with Mr. Terry again lol. So it isn't really my last time, but for Mr. Jacobs yes. Although I'll see him again either tomorrow or next semester because I'm going to give him the dvd of the movie he helped me make along with my friends, Mr. Elliot and Mrs. Carter for my ROP Video Production finals.
Speaking of my movie, today was the day we turned in the finals of our movies, only a few production crews (including mine) turned in movies. Most of the crews didn't turn in one. Although Mr. Terry only showed just 1 movie and it was a really great movie made by Big Splash Productions (Tien, Phill, and someone else). I mean their movie looked like an independent movie. They had all kinds of lighting techniques and different camera angles. I was kinda jealous of them and depressed. Here's the story.............

Flashback to a week before winter break. I had finished my portion of the IHS broadcast and set out of get ready for the VAQ original. My production crew as always is lazy as hell so I couldn't depend on them at all. I decided to spend my winter break to write up a script. We already had a concept of a zombie movie, but unassure of the genre we will place it in. So I was hoping for a "Night of the Living Dead" quality in our movie. To have horror and psychological horror as its genre. But it seems that its fate will not be that of a psychological horror. Prior making the script first, I though casting characters first would be more important that way it would be easier to elaborate that way. I casted myself, one of the Production crew members, several friends of mine, 2 of my teachers Mr. Elliot and Mr. Jacobs, and Mrs. Carter for the ending.

I watched the Alien Quadtrilogy box set over the break and took notes watching the Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production of each movie, learning anything I could about movie making. This vast new information help aided me in making the movie.......As the days roll by I though long and hard on making the script. Everyday making scenes. As more and more the story comes to, I though it was going to be impossible to make it into a psychological horror as I hoped for and turned it into a comedy horror movie. I used the techniques used in the Scary Movie movies and parody movies and shows. I ended up at the end of my winter break with an excellent story, but all as of all work fails of the plans of mice and men..........

On the 1nd week after winter break ended, I told everyone that shooting will be on monday and we will try for a 1 shot take for each scene in hopes of finishing the movie shootings just in one day.......although I haven't gotten clearence from the principle to use "weapons" on campus for the movie. So on Friday, I met up with the principle, Mrs. Gail Richards, to discuss the clearence of using of "weapons". I explained to her we will only use airsoft guns for these scenes and will shoot ASAP. She didn't take it and said that she "heavily" enforced the "no weapons on school campus." With that, the first of the many blows to my film's script was delt and done.
Right after that meeting I had a huge script redo. I took out most of the weapons which made the story semi good. I was a bit disappointed on the set back but that didn't stop me from filming my movie. On monday of the shootings, one of the characters, which was one of the Production crew, didn't showed up so I had to cut him and his character entirely from the script which was really hard but I did it on a last min thing. We manage to get several scenes taken but because of the rain, we never could of taken any outside scene shots. The biggest disappointment of that day was that we didnt' finish all the shootings on that day.......we only got 4 of the 15 scenes done. But that didn't get me down, I took this as a learning lession that shooting movies doesn't happen over night and improvised on how we will shoot the rest of the film. The disappointment and learning experience for me had just begun for shooting of this movie took 1 week and 1 day (mon-sun, mon) and there were more pitfalls and learning experiences for me up ahead...........but for now I must close this story because it is late. 1:30 A.M. and I need my rest for my finals tomorrow.......till the next time........
